Jodi Arias Trial discussion, #3

I would agree that type of line of questions would be appropriate for this witness on that stand now I don't believe it's relevant in terms of the victim in this case. Except in terms if there was any domestic violence or anger management issues.

It’s my belief that the judges on death penalty cases tend to allow testimony they normally wouldn’t allow during a non dp case. Saves on the chance that an appeal may be granted if convicted…..

Prosecutor has really annoyed the defendant with his questioning of this witness, not only did she mumble something under her breath when a question was asked about sex, but she also rolled her eyes.

Good job Martinez!!

I think when it starts getting into the nasties she might show herself

I thought it was interesting the jury asked what date those conversations occurred. Maybe they are wondering if JA manipulated the text messages like she manipulated the men she was involved with.

I agree. that's not a good sign.

I can read it a couple of ways. They doubt his story and want confirmation, or they might think TA is a flirt. Not cause by any means to kill someone though.

I wish I knew what they were thinking.

I don't know that is why I asked earlier how far away this guy lived from Travis. If I remember, Travis's one roommate got home @ six in the evening. Jodi was gone and I assume on her way to clean up and then see this guy to have an alibi about being there on 6-4. But she wasn't there on 6-4 it was 6-5.

I think he testified that he tried calling her several times and it went staright to VM..Her phone was off!!!

Gah...I have to go. Keep up the transcribing peeps and the comments so I can read them tonight! THANK YOU :)

This lady?? Defendant's mom

The one next to her, with short hair.

Thanks though, didn't know that was her mom.

Don't they have enough forensic evidense to know that the whole thing was over kill and that he was the one with defensive wounds? And bringing a knife and a gun for a visit was pure premeditation. I just don't understand this testimonies relevance. Get on with the real evidense and quit wasting money. jmo

The defense is going to try to portray Jodi as a battered woman who killed because she was afraid for her life. Every witness's testimony that destroys that is another nail in Jodi's coffin. Exactly what I would be doing if prosecuting this case. So if the prosecutor can get a witness to admit that JA was the sexual aggressor IMO it is his/her job to do so.

I just hope we don't have another P12 on our hands and get distracted by the smoke and mirrors.

Everyday this case just keeps giving and giving.

I know the prosecutor is irritated but he needs to not show it so much....IMO....some juries seem to really key in on stuff like that and this one, with their last questions, IMO...appear maybe just a little, of course in my very OWN opinion seem a little superficial....IMO, ofcourse! !

Battered woman. Good try. She battered Travis and then drove to the next guy and made out with him like nothing was amiss.

Jerk or not he's still a victim in this case. And Jodi doesn't appear to be a saint either.

I read somewhere that one of Travis friends said he believes that Jodi purposefully went there to sleep with Travis and then immediately kill him so he had no time to repent for sleeping with her thereby ensuring that he would be damned to hell for eternity.

If that was her intention she's one wicked chick.

I know he is the victim in this case, but I can still express my opinion of his character. And nowhere did I say JA was a saint.

Wonder how the defense is going to try and spin that fact?

Jury Questions

1) Where did the information about Travis Alexander being a flirt come from?
RB: I don't remember.
Because he doesn't want to admit that info came from the defendant herself

2) With regard to the exhibits you were shown where did the date and time stamps come from? Why would you say goodnight at 8 a.m.
RB: I don't know
Because he doesn't want to admit it was after a hot night of phone sex

3) Do you know on what date those conversations occurred?
RB: It's an instant message conversation we had before she came over or on the 9th before we knew Travis had been killed.

RB is not doubting the verbage of the messages.

Red by me

I like these questions by the jurors, it shows to me that they don't buy this nonsense trying to being sold.

I agree with you. I think she looks like a beady-eyed Amy Fisher.

:seeya: LOL ...

I sure wish that those media outlets who refer to JA as a "beauty" would STOP referring to her as that because she is NOT a "beauty" ...

Nothing "beautiful" about this cold-blooded killer ...

:moo:
