Yes. I also think she tends to mirror the personalities of the people she is with. Since psychopaths don't generally have the emotions of normal people, or at least not in the same contexts, they tend to adapt and copy others because they inherently know they are off and have learned how to mimic so they can continue to fool people into thinking they are normal and good.

But when such a person is in a large group, who do they copy? It works copying one person, because the person being copied is flattered or feels a kinship. But you can't copy multiple people at the same time. So, what to do? Who to be? her whole goal is making people feel secure around her and like her and not realize her true nature. But she doesn't know how to do that except via mimicry. :moo:

honestly I trashed his car - he took it so well - we were talking to insurance and lawyers and uhaul - it was just money - it was what I would pay him back

I agree that she probably thought she was getting a great guy. He was probably building her up in the beginning with his motivational stuff, but maybe when he put her down and got her to do things in bed, it tore a little bit of a hole in her insecure psyche. If all who knew him really admired him and thought he was close to perfection, that would have made her feel crazy. Only she would have seen the parts that were imperfect. I think this only because it happened to me. But it does sort of make sense with their history and things we know so far.

I am not saying he deserved what happened, but I am trying to shed a light on what her thoughts could have been.

I don't think she thought she was corrupting him.

Supposedly Travis was a virgin when he met Jody so I really suspect that it was Jody that bedded Travis rather than the other way around. IMO

ETA I have never texted with a man and understood that I am sleepy dot dot dot to mean umm time to come climb thru the doggy door and slip into bed with him and wake him up. I mean who does that??

Yes, and deleted the photos before throwing it in the washer. The camera was destroyed but the csi lab was able to restore the photos from the SIM card inside.

This is relatively new... they can now do brain scans to see what a psychopath's brain looks like based on structural abnormalities.
But it's important to know that by no means does psychopath = murderer.

Insecure psyche? No way! Got her to do things in bed? I see her as very sexually aggressive, no one talked her into doing anything. IMO if anything she talked him into it! She's no shrinking violet in bed. All imo

I don't know. This presents jodi as some mentally fragile, put upon woman who predictably snapped. But the evidence we know of that has been or is going to be presented paints a picture of a cunning user, a conniving fraud, a frightening impersonator or human beings.

Do you hear her talk? So calmly, so sweetly? Trying so hard to steer LE the wrong direction, just days after she brutally destroyed another living soul? And what about the planning involved? Does that all sound like a fragile mess who just couldn't take the pain anymore as a result of being used or does it sound like a sociopathic monster who wanted something, couldn't have it so she decided to take revenge by decimating what she couldn't have?

Not even close...it pales in comparison considering what she did to his body.

I believe the photos that were deleted were the 20 taken prior to his death. All the shower pictures etc.

I think it's irrelevant to the discussion. Being a cad isn't illegal it's not preferred but there's nothing illegal about it like gee I don't know MURDER.

If every cheating man deserved what Travis got there would be a whole lot of dead men around the world.
