I'm glad other people picked up on that. It was the first photo I saw of the two together and it really just looks wrong. So controlling.

guys i have a pic of me and my ex with the same pose..we dont know ...we did it for fun...this is just a picture...theres more that meets the eyes

i can understand the ones that says that she was ...beaten...tho as a criminologist..for 3 years after i graduated...and looking at the pics... this is gross..but how could she dragged him..he was twice her weight..adrenaline? probably...all i can say is that when IIIIIIIII did something bad ei: got too drunk and left the bar without paying i admitted to the cops what i did...and for my studies..i did had to go to the morgue which im ///gagging right now.... I dont believe the dude that lived with him didnt smell anything...blood and death smells a lot...even when a door is locked....

I think the water she poured, in the hallway enabled her to easily slide him down that hallway & back into the bathroom slip & slide style. Once she got him off the carpet, it was really easy. IMO

There's another water pic of them where Travis actually looks more happy and excited. Were they having sex in that water? Clandestine sex, as Jody would say.

Women who are insecure don't drive over 1,000 miles by themselves. They would have brought someone with them. I don't think she was interested in Mr. Ryan. I think she thought she could throw LE off if they thought she was already involved with another person and she USED Mr. Ryan for that purpose. You just don't drive 2,000 miles round trip just to see someone for a couple of hours. She was not insecure, she just would not be denied, under any circumstances. jmo

Good point about JA using Ryan as her alibi... But I think your understanding of an "insecure" woman is too literal.

What the other commenter meant was that Jodi was "emotionally" insecure. She readily admitted that in one of her interviews...

A woman who's insecure in her relationship lacks confidence about her ability to keep a man interested. As a result, she acts irrationally, in constant fear of losing him. These women drive a man crazy with their hysterics, constant questioning, trying to trap him in a lie, getting angry about how he smiled at their waitress, and so on.

EVERY woman is a threat in her mind. The man cannot enjoy peace with her for long, because every other day, she's accusing him of cheating.

She finally has her sexy, career-focused "prize" or "hero" and always worries that a better woman will come snatch him away. Because deep down, an insecure woman feels she isn't pretty enough, smart enough, personable enough, from an important enough family, doesn't have her financial act together, etc. etc.

So she's paranoid, jealous, possessive... eaten away by fear of being abandoned by the one person who put a smile in her heart... or awakens her soul and libido.

And yes, she is so irrational that she will drive hours away all alone... to render payback for actually abandoning her.

You rock! Lol :)

How do the jurors seem? Interested, shocked, disgusted indifferent??
Do they look at JA very often and does she look at them?

They seem interested. Most of them very interested. Not at all shocked, today anyway. Nothing was that shocking, though. It's hard to tell whether they're looking at her b/c lots of times the pros is right in their line of vision toward her. I don't THINK they look at her a lot. I did notice that when they leave she looks at them all very intently. It's noticeable. During the testimony not so much.

After Ryan left the stand she had a convo with the defense team member who sits at the rear counsel table and it was clear she found something humerous/ridiculous about his testimony.

"There can be no doubt that many people in early Utah lost their lives because of the doctrine of blood atonement. John D. Lee, who had been a member of Joseph Smith's secret Council of Fifty, related the following:

The most deadly sin among the people was adultery, and many men were killed in Utah for that crime....Klingensmith and his company then cut Anderson's throat from ear to ear and held him so that his blood ran into the grave."

 The defense should have been confused new found Mormon religious beliefs instead of self defense.

Except she is not that smart to think of that.

A woman's who's insecure in her relationship(s) lacks confidence about her ability to keep a man interested. As a result, she acts irrationally, in constant fear of losing him. These women drive a man crazy with their hysterics, constant questioning, trying to trap him in a lie, getting angry about how he smiled at their waitress, and so on.

Admitted that in HER interview? Lol which one?

She obliterated Travis and skipped away without a care in the world. No remorse. And most importantly...ZERO fear of getting caught. Calm and cool as a cucumber in all of her interviews. That's not the trait of someone love obsessed or insecure.

All IMO

But the dynamic of their relationship does not matter anything at all in determining this woman's guilt! That is not a factor to be considered in this case.

What are things to consider- is this self defense? Was Travis violent before? etc. Or if she was arguing diminished capacity what evidence supports that.

Would you sit on a jury in a rape case and consider if the outfit the victim wore "enticed" the defendant(s) too much and she therefore deserved to be raped or was asking for it? Hopefully you won't consider that type of evidence. There is no difference in the scenario I just described above than what the defense is trying to do to the victim in this case.

Whether or not Travis was a bad person (I'm not even saying he is or was) is not an element to consider in convicting Jodi. Just as you indicated that Jodi and Travis had a complex relationship it's also important to note that individuals themselves can be complex. Travis was neither all bad nor all good he was probably a mixture of both.

Having said that, as an observer of this trial, I'm interested only in the evidence or the elements that need to be proven in this case to either prove first degree murder or self defense. I'm not at all interested in if Travis was a player, a ladies man, a bad Mormon, or a bad boyfriend. But if he WAS violent before I want to hear that evidence, if it exists.

I think what you just indicated above is why defense attys routinely bash or blame a victim because it works. And really all it does is muddy the waters. It distracts jurors from focusing on what elements need to be proven to convict or to acquit.

I have convicted her in my mind because she looks so darn guilty! :)

I think we never really know what goes on between people but we know we had some loveless sex happening. People have their hang ups with that - me included. Really that part is just gossip and I shouldn't be doing it. I still blame her for her actions.

you are really going with the whole idea that she was a sadist and wanted to do all that to him? if she stabbed him with something in the house and took it with her thats not premeditation. if she stole the gun i am sure that it was no way in her plan to stab him first. why risk being caught with it, it being found and traced back to her family, why get blood everywhere and leave more fingerprints?

I think I've read and heard many times that premeditation can be made within a minute's time. I'm sure one of our sleuthers has a link.

She had time to find a knife. Then had time to go back up those stairs (assuming the knife was downstairs in the kitchen), do whatever she was doing with the camera, and... well, we saw the result.

Also, the gun. She brought the gun. Why?

Except she is not that smart to think of that.

I can't find another explanation that makes any real sense as to why there was so many trips made with that cup full of water to wet that entire area.

The younger pics of Ryan Burns I saw, show an actually thinner, pretty good looking guy. I believe I googled "Ryan Burns Prepaid Legal Sean, Utah" and looked at the google images posted.

What FACT or FACTS presented support the assertion of self defense than you believe I am ignoring?

The defense has not yet presented their case, therefore it's impossible to have heard their evidence. Whatever they have is yet to come. They have an entire section of this trial to present evidence and witnesses, AFTER the prosecution finishes.
