so, has any heard that they found JA's clothes and or shoes she wore that day or did they disappear like the knife and gun?

I figure it's all somewhere in the middle of the desert. We have a lot of open desert out here.

Afternoon testimony

Detective Flores

Re: telephone conversations he had with Jodi Arias

#295, Audio recording of Jodi speaking to Flores about Travis' ATM pin number. She knew it. She also knew the garage pin number as Travis gave it to her.
--TA had two roommates at the time. Zachary Billings and ????? Did the police investigate their whereabouts at the time of the murder? Yes. They were not associated with this crime.
#247 & #248, Re: Inside Edition interview from 2008. The statement on whether any jury would convict her. #247, Video playing in courtroom of the Inside Edition where Jodi says "she can't imagine slitting anyone's throat". #248, Video from Inside Edition where JA says "no jury will convict me, you can mark my words on that, no jury will convict me".

Cross Examination

Lawyers approach the bench.

Regarding telephone conversations on July 11. During the phone conversation the topic of Jodi living with Travis was discussed. Flores did not discuss this with Travis' roommates. Regarding her move to Yreka, do the phone records show that there was contact between Jodi and Travis? Yes. There was not a time where the contact ceased.
Discussing Flores' experience with the force and his training in report writing. Asking Flores about his endeavors in becoming a detective. Flores has reviewed his reports in the past few weeks. Defence goes to get copies of reports.
#290, autopsy report page 17, Defence: "It appears you attended the autopsy of Travis Alexander" "It appears you authored your report on August 22, 2008". Is that the day you wrote it or finaled it?
Flores: "It is the day it was entered into our report management system."
Defence: "It appears you came away with the belief that Travis was shot first?"
Flores: "Yes" it was based on the autopsy and conversation with the ME
Testimony from 2009, exhibit 260, page 18, line 14 at the time Flores was "asked if he had spoken to Dr. Horn about this case". Objection from prosecution.

I've been trying to find a particular Travis photo, but can't (here nor elsewhere). Has anyone viewed a photo of Travis alive in the shower, but crouched down on the floor?

If such a photo really exists, I'm now wondering is she was pointing a gun at him here -- and shot him as the first incident in the sequence.

Was he crouched in the far left corner of the shower? If so, it seems like Travis' right eye -- where the bullet entered -- might have been easily accessible where Jodi was standing above him -- above him, pointing the gun down.

So could she have shot him in the head while he was crouched in the shower floor... and then he began crawling out and toward the bathroom & face bowl... and pulled himself up over the face bowl... and that's the blood that was captured all over the sink and mirror?

Any of this possible?

The ME said not really, because of the concussion to the brain would have left him unconscious

InSession is going over parts of the testimony this morning.

Disgusted by the recorded phone conversations between JA and Det. Flores.

JA is SO chipper- 'Oh, hey! How's it going?!'

How tf do you think it's going???

Hope this is not interrupting the flow of the current posting, but I am just now catching up.

BBM:
alwaysonmymind, you seem to feel the same way I do about this whole horrible mess. Yesterday you would end each post with the simple statement of, "I hate her." That is how I feel as well, plus the fact that I am just so very angry that she dare do what she has done. Now she just sits there at trial looking as if butter would not melt in her mouth. I'd be arrested if the thoughts I have every time I look at her were to be verbalized or even written!

Even the very sight of this she-monster invokes such anger in me that it scares me!

True, that could be the reason some of the items on the shelf in that closet were submitted as evidence. (I could never figure out why.)

The bathroom was at the other end of that hallway though, right? That's where I'm getting confused. Did she just not go back in the bedroom after the murder?

She could have entered the closet from the hallway door and exited into the bedroom without stepping on the bloody carpet.

Ah good the way Detective Flores was concerned if Travis suffered in the way they thought he died. Threw Defense off.

He's a detective, not a medical examiner!

All the defense has is to attack Det. Flores about what his opinion was if the shot to the head was first or not. weakkk

Last I checked he wasn't Dr. detective Flores but just Detective Flores

yea, but the amount of blood in that bathroom - is it possible that she didnt track ANY through the closet? I just really find that hard to believe.

Good point. She was determined to make sure there was no trace of her DNA i.e. washing the sheets and a feeble attempt at cleaning up.

Who really cares which injury came first.

She slaughtered him. The first would regardless if it was the shot or stab to heart would have killed him. He wasn't attacking her. That's been proven by the blood evidence. IMO

I just don't understand the questioning.
How is this going to help his client ?

  • #756
Problem here is, a person can have an AHA! moment and change his opinion? Possibly came from staring at the bullet casing.

  • #757
Traction, yes, probably shoes. The inside of those shoes must have been gross with blood though.

Which is why there are so many socks washed and dried?

Oh, I didn't realize there were 2 doors to the closet!

  • #759
When the defense belabors a point like this is just makes them look pathetic.

  • #760
Hope he's (attorney) aggravating the jury as much as he is me. Let's insult the officer.
