DT claiming that the state has now changed it's story of the sequences of injury as it relates to cruelty because Det Flores has changed his opinion.

In other words, whether or not the gunshot was before or after the stabbing? The one guy saying that he only said it came first b/c he misunderstood the ME? Or did I get confused on that? Thanks---

thats right

Is there any tape material of her actually admitting she killed him in self defense?

No. It only came out in defense opening statements and in an interview with her sister.

Hi all. First time poster - just joined yesterday. Thanks for your posts on this horrific crime. The last time I was consumed with such a case it was the Peterson trial. I just wanted to add re: the shower, that it would not surprise me had JA taken a shower to "clean off" while TA was laying in the base of the shower. It would be the ultimate "I win" moment for her. Gross but seemingly right up her alley.

Could someone please post more pics of the beefcake Detective please?

WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I missed the receipt testimony. But the blood spatter expert was quite insightful.

Big points.

The sink splatter was indeed splatter made by some type of contact or force. Either by spitting, sneezing, or a head wound. It was also found above the sink on the mirror. It's appearance is the same as what was found on the sink.

Most of the splatters found over by the toilet and adjoining wall were lower than 12 inches meaning that the victim was basically on the ground during the blows that he rec'd.

Water was used to dilute much of the blood found in the bathroom.

No blood was found in the walk in closet or in any large quantities in the bedroom.

Since the victim was shoeless and sockless it means that Jodi was wearing both socks and shoes in the crime scene.

I know I'm missing some big things but those are the big items I took from the blood splatter expert.

Thank you so much!!!!!

What the heck is happening now???

Judge turning it down

Sounds like she is ruling now.

  • #946
Motion not timely made, per the judge, but even if it was, testimony of Det Flores would not have changed other judges ruling on DP.

Notice that the glasses are now off now that the jury is out of the Courtroom.

  • #948
woohoo thank heavens

DP trial judge determined that wounds happened EXACTLY as the ME testified, as read per this judge.

Thanks for explaining. Yes, this sounds VERY serious!

I mentioned earlier that I don't like the prosecutor. I don't like his brusk but unnecessary (arrogant) manner, and I don't think he's a crisp communicator.

Now, this makes it seem like he's tried to be slick. If this mistrials, it's on HIS head.

I like the prosecutor! Never has seen arrogant to me thus far. Just kind of calm and methodical.

Glad the judge ruled against the defense motion.

Physical AND mental suffering of victim, per judge. All motions DENIED!!

  • #956
Where are ME's like Quincy?!? I want him on this case.

  • #957
No glasses? hmm

  • #958
Motion denied by defense.
To read between the lines. If this jury recommends death this judge will uphold that sentence. She believes the testimony supports the crime is cruel and the victim suffered a lot of pain and suffering.

hahaha, judge citing another case even AFTER she has already denied both motions.

And will that hold, whether or not others say the gunshot came first or came later?
