well and even where all the blood was in the car. it sounds like a lot was in the backseat. Did she come back to her car to get the gun? did she get blood everywhere when she was transporting the knife or maybe she had another blood covered person in the car with her.

It was probably her bloody clothes. It is possible to drive and change at the same time. I speak from experience.

I can only try. The state's concerned if the jury learns Jodi stalked Travis it could unfairly bias them which could lead to a guilty verdict which could lead to an appeal. An appeal that could and possibly would overturn a conviction.

Jodi was never convicted of stalking Travis and even had she been it may have been ruled inadmissible. Not sure on that one though. Some prior bad acts are allowed in.

Hi, BritsKate. Jodi's history with Travis, including stalking, is definitely in. (Some conjectural things, like the tire-slashing might be minimized or excluded.) His or her history with Lisa is out, probably for multiple reasons.

I was with my friend when she was removed from life support and we were warned there would be some noise. There was some gurgling noise and I was surprised how loud it was. To be honest it was disturbing. It went on for a bit as her body shut down. It was very sad and etched in my memory.

I know opening statements aren't evidence, so if the stalker statement was only made in opening statements, I guess there wouldn't be any issue regarding "stalker evidence" on appeal.

I think that Jodi, superficially, could be considered attractive, but I think the people who had any sort of interaction with her, would shortly realize how stunted, & if they could identify it, sociopathic she was- Travis's friends seem to pick up on this pretty quick. It's just a shame that Travis wasn't able to excise her from his life...

I agree.
I think this is one of the main reasons the KC trial was lost. IMO, the state went way overboard providing way too much detail about analysis of things. Days and days and days of it. They lost the jury and if they could have kept it short and to the point, I think they could have easily got conviction.

They had so much stuff, they came across as trying to fool the jury IMO.

One of the things that really bothers me about this trial is the way the defense is trying to demonize Travis. Travis was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He opened his home to me when I needed it. I was in the kitchen when he and Jodi broke up. There was no yelling. They sat down in the front room and Travis explained to her that the relationship was not going anywhere. I was in the house when Travis caught Jodi reading his gmail. There was no threats of violence. There was a time when Travis was pretty upset with me because of something that I had disclosed to a mutual friend. He had a right to be upset with me. Travis told me that he wished that I respected him enough to talk to him instead of behind his back. Travis was a kind, cheritable soul who would literaly give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He remains an example to me.
