I dont like when the PA does this. No need to get mad at the witnesses. He can do it without anger.
I cant believe the jury gets to ask questions. WOW....never saw this before.
January 17, 2013 Morning Testimony
CROSS EXAMINATION
DT asking Leslie if she remembers him talking to her in June 2011
--DT asks what Leslie meant back in June 2011 when she told the DT that the Jodi she knew couldn't have killed somebody.
--Leslie said that Jodi was a very quiet soft spoken gentle person and she could not imagine Jodi doing something like that.
--Leslie told the DT about a night she spent in Travis' home. Travis was on the phone. Prosecution objects, objection is sustained. DT asks to approach the bench.
--Leslie went to Arizona for business and stayed
--Leslie woke up at 0100 and went to the kitchen to get water. Travis was talking on the phone. Leslie said "say hi to Jodi". She got the impression Travis was talking to Jodi.
--re: trip to Huntington Beach. had some conversations with Jodi. Leslie is asked if she ever got the inkling that Travis and Jodi were having a sexual relationship. Leslie says that she did.
REDIRECT
--Leslie was given the impression that Jodi was quiet and reserved.
--Prosecution says he is going to show Leslie some photographs. PT says he doesn't mean to be indelicate with Leslie and approaches her with some photos. The DT objects and the judges asks the lawyers to approach the bench.
--PT: "you said you knew her". Shows photos <assuming that they are the sex photos>. Do you know anything about that aspect of her life? Leslie: "no". Leslie is shown the photo of Jodi's foot with the pants...asks Leslie if she has ever seen those pants. Leslie says no.
