One positive I can see is that a seasoned Prosecutor can adjust how he is presenting the case if he can read what the jury may be missing or not understanding.

our target is calling this same particular number

it is listed twice - the one 2162 was entered into handset and was the number called

1-1's infront of number indicate it went directly to that cellphone numbers voicemail

see the outgoing 23:48 ending @ 23:51 - same phone call as they overlap

another entry 5 min later - a different phone call - 961 seconds - same sort of entry as before

No he would not and most abuse victims never get a RO anyway. They are very aware that a piece of paper will not stop a stalker or an abuser.

He would just have to tell them that they had dated at one time and then tell the Judge of the violent things that have happened since the break up. He could have witnesses like his prior girlfriend Lisa or her written statement and others who had seen Jodi so obsessive and seeing Travis feel very uncomfortable about it.

A RO would not have stopped this from happening. It may have made the violent behavior from stalkiing to slitting tires go up to a different level. DV victims have been murdered and had ROs against their murderer. It did nothing to protect them and I think Travis knew that.

I think a lot of people don't necessarily realize someone cannot just decide to go get a restraining order as well. Ultimately it is up to a judge.

I had to fight tooth and nail for my restraining order. There were no police reports so it was much my word versus his. After I was initially denied one I sought out the services of a domestic violence advocacy group in my area. Once they helped me refile I had a restraining order the same day.

(And mine didn't help either...he continued to contact me and like many in an abusive relationship I ended up going back a few times before I left for good.)
