In opening - the Prosecutor stated that Travis did have a roommate and they when his friends became worried and were able to get into the apartment/house - they still needed a key for the bedroom door. The friends did say they noticed a smell in the upstairs of the apartment.
So they went to the roommate who was in his room - listening to music is what the Prosecutor I believe said. The roommate was able to get the key and that's when they discovered the body of Travis.

he had a few room mates - if i remember right, they were on vacation together the day he was killed, and when they got back they thought he was out of town til a friend of travis came over worried because no one could reach him, and travis' bedroom door was locked

There is really not any incense made that will cloak the smell of a dead body. I can't understand how the roommates did not wonder about the smell.

I think the judge said 2:30 they are sloooowwwww just like the Ej trial.

I just read on facebook that Vinnie Politan will be covering the start of this trial at 4 today on HLN.

BTW, I think you should have this thread in the "trials" section of the forum, not the "currently awaiting trial". That's confusing and people may not realize that trial has already begun.

When I went to look for a forum on this case I was astounded I couldn't find one. I was under the impression the trial would start at 9:00am EST :doh: and just hurried to get it up. (no comments on that last part!!!

Yeah, I just heard on HLN that he had roommates. The dude didn't smell the body? :waitasec: That's awfully hinky to me.

IMO the camera was accidently placed with the sheets and washed. Just like the body, JA thought that washing the sheets would erase any physical evidence tying her to the crime. I think JA had her wits about her enough to realize that LE would be called to the scene and would go over everything in that house. Finding a camera in the laundry wouldn't fit with the first couple of stories she told LE about ninja killers raiding the house.

I thought I read somewhere that Travis was found in the shower and the shower was still running? Didn't that roommate think it strange that the shower was running day and night?

The ABC15 seems to have the same exact audio feed. I'm guessing all media outlets all have the same video/audio feed.
