Typical AZ jury - more time off than on. We could be here for weeks :) Does anyone know how long the trial is expected to last?

until the tax man cometh-mid April ;)

o/t - there is A LOT going on in your signature. I feel seriously inadequate. I mean SERIOUSLY. I'm going to develop an inadequate signature complex if I don't upgrade and at least put something flashy or funny in mine!

Steely likes to keep us entertained. :)

Can someone help me out? I zoned out earlier during the detective's testimony...

What was in the email which caused TA to be so angry? The last thing I recall is the detective was reading multiple pages of an email transcript. What was the deal? TIA!

Jodi wasn't much of a maid leaving blood stains all over the place including the top of the washing machine and she ran the washer but that laundry looks really bloody.

I missed that too so I hope someone will post about that email.

Something about that Travis felt like he was a dildo (his language, not mine.)

So is she crazy like a fox, I do not think so. If she truly planned this, her cover-up would not be so hectic and frantic. Very sloppy

Really, the laundry was so bloody. Did it go through a whole cycle? (it was a surprise here while eating my French Toast)

This is going slow, huh.

I believe that quote was "dildo with a heartbeat". :what:
I'm sure this trial will be -unique- for the stenographer.

Not that I've planned or executed a murder before, but I would truly think that planning a murder and actually executing it would be two entirely different things. Even if a murder is planned, I would imagine that there would be a lot more to it than you see in the movies. I'm sure she was shocked by the amount of blood, etc. I think that it would be pretty messy and difficult to clean up, etc. I don't think that she could have anticipated what actually DID happen during the murder.

48 Hours

To better sum up my feelings on this I'll say this. In most murder cases there is a tendency to paint the victim as a saint who was killed at the hands of a satanic killer. I don't believe that TA was an honest choirboy.

If it had been the other way around I think it would be easy to paint him as a jerk. JMO

I don't want to broad brush people involved in multi-level marketing schemes, but I myself couldn't be involved in one. I think it takes a little too much willingness to look the other way about the ethical points of such companies.

Hi, Steely Dan. Your posts are always interesting. I agree with your qualms about multi-level marketing schemes. From what I gather, the prepaid lawyer business is much more advantageous for the sellers rather to the buyers.

And I can agree with you that Travis was not an honest choir boy. That said, it seems that at times, at least, he viewed Jodi as the sexual user: One email quoted in court today accused her of thinking of him as nothing more than a dildo with a heartbeat.

To me, though, the description of him using her as a booty call doesn't quite fit. For one thing, he wasn't doing the booty calling; she was; and for another, he is showing the ambivalence that religious people do when their hormones rage against their religious dogma. (At college, I knew two very sweet minister's daughters who were similarly battling with their relatively late sexual awakenings. Like Travis, they were very religious in other areas of their lives. I didn't and don't think of them as users or hypocrites.)

It sounds like this witness is saying that bleach was used in the load of laundry. Can you imagine what that towel and other bloody stuff looked like BEFORE the washer cycled through with bleach??? egads

I guess that JA took care of that heartbeat part.
