North Carolina is one of the few states that still allows Alienation of Affection lawsuits against a third party responsible for the failure of a marriage.

By speaking out in this way,,,Rielle is giving Elizabeth's attorney's plenty of evidence to work with.

These things happened in another time, too. People just didn't have the media and Internet to broadcast them. Aside from Kennedy, I remember how appauled I was when I learned about Franklin Roosevelt's mistress and the possibility of Dwight Eisenhower having an affair. John Edwards... Elliot Spitzer... Mark Sanford... The Tiger Woods affairs shook the world, of course, and now Jesse James (Sandra Bullock). Amazing how politicians, sports starts, etc. think they won't get caught. It's a different age, for sure - one that won't let you hide.

Well, yes...but some things are better hidden than splayed all over magazine pages. <g>

It's not the affair, it's Rielle's "exposure" I am referring to.

JE needs to grow a new pair and speak-out about this. If he doesn't feel he owes it to Elizabeth or to his country, how about to his children (including the little one)?

This whole tawdry tale makes me want to live in another time, one in which I was born but has been sadly forgotten.

Again, what would you want John E to say? Would you be happy if John came out and said Elizabeth has not been a "wife" (i.e. alienation of affection, sex, loving, caring, happiness, respect... ) since her diagnosis of cancer years ago? Yet because of her health issues, I felt I should stay and care for her and the children.

And surprise, he cheated.

"Poor Rielle, she doesn't know that she isn't the first blonde that JE has locked eyes with across the room...or across the lawn, in regards to the story I'm recounting. My bff, happily married, works in a gated community but I'd rather not say outright in what capacity because she still works there. (Perhaps you can infer her position from the details that I am repeating) While working in the neighborhood one day in '06, she had gone out to her truck to fetch supplies and who walks from next door and gazed at her across the bed of her pickup truck while striking up a conversation, but JE. And in his swim trucks no less. He introduced himself and said that the family of the home where she was working had given him permission to use the pool while they were away and would that be alright. He also said he was there vacationing with his family although she never saw anyone else. But the point is, this attractive, happily married lady came away from the encounter swooning over JE. She said he was much more attactive in person than on TV and that she felt an attraction when they 'locked eyes' but nothing happened other than a conversation. She gushed about how 'cute' it was and how she planned to vote for him in the next election.

Like I said I am repeating this second hand and it was a few years back when this occured but I'll never forget how downright giddy she was over this encounter and how 'hawt' she said he was.

However I do think Rielle is more shrewd than smart and there was one only thing on her mind when she posed for the pics....JE. She wanted to remind him how 'seksee' she is and this was her outlet for doing that. It's been reported that JE sees baby FQ with a third party present but not RE, yet they do talk on the phone about FQ. Surely they are staying apart til JE & EE's divorce is final to avoid an 'alienation of affection' lawsuit against Rielle. I'll bet he wasn't happy about the story and pics. But All JMO.

Did anyone besides me see a similarity to Octomom's pics exploiting her babies?

exactly...No mater what he says at this point, it would be scrutinized, dissected, made jokes about, and berated.
He is best off keeping to himself till the divorce is over.

HOWEVER if he has any further personal dealings with "the Hunter" As I have been calling RH from the very start.
He is yet a bigger AZZ then I thought. She is IMO a barracuda deluxe.

Yes I do understand that an abused men will stray, will be weak at the coming on of a person who is showing him approval instead of degrading him...
BUT FOR GOD SAKE JOHN EDWARDS WAS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. He did not have the brains to put everything else on a shelf until whenever???? Sometimes it is hard to care for someone who is constantly abusive....He could have lived in the guest house and still not throw all of his aspirations to the wind....

Yes straying has happened long before the Internet and the information era, but he knew that times have changed, and yet could not keep his head on his shoulders, only in his pants. not smart at all....:hand: :doh:

She is dying after she is gone how could she stop him from marrying her?

1.She hopefully goes into a very long remission.
2.Has the goods on Johnny maybe she can make sure he spends a long time in Jail.
3.She loses it figures I don't have long to go and pops the babies Mama.

Hopefully for the kids it 's#1 but that is up to God not Elizabeth

You are correct that these women see their babies as 'props' in order to gain whatever it is they want. RH stated she wasn't getting paid for the interview but I have to wonder if she was paid for the pics. ESpecially since FQ was included in the layout. The only reason I can think of that RH wishes to continue hurting the Edward's family is revenge/jealousy of EE. Does she not realize that in attempting to hurt EE, that she is also hurting the Edward's children? And that by doing that JE will not be as attracted to her because when she hurts his children with EE she is also passive aggressively hurting him.

There are 3 things I pray for 'the Hunter' (as songline calls her, LOL!)
First, I pray that she never has to fight a terminal illness for FQ's sake.
Secondly, I pray that she is never 'First Lady' of the USA, (which will never happen, IMO).
Thirdly, I pray that some benefactor will send her to charm school to learn how to be a respectable lady/mother.

From what I had heard earlier, this decision is expected to be overturned...as it should be.

The plaintiff's HUSBAND is the one who broke the vows, whether he had "help" or not in so doing.

If you never heard about Alienation of Affection (and I sure have not) it is because that law has been outdated in most states, and only a few still say it is a crime.
