You can't tell me that from the second the police got there on the 26th, they weren't asked for ANYTHING from the day before that was suspect. In that case, they went over EVERY SECOND from the 25th over and over again. Not to mention that it was their baby's last Christmas. Those hours are BURNED into their memory.I agree Brefie,its alright to say that the Rams cant rememeber anything after the murder,but how do they deny remembering anything before the murder.

Every woman who gives birth to their child remembers everything about that blessed event and the same goes for their death. Every minute detail is burned into their brain.

Patsy and John have selective memory in recalling the events that lead up to the death of their daughter which I find unbelievable. In her book Death of Innocence, Patsy recalls the events leading up to the birth of JonBenet....even describing what John wore to the hospital....Pink shorts!

I was known for falling asleep at our famous Ukrainian 500+ people wedding that went on all night at 10 yrs old. Grandma said I could sleep right beside the bands speakers.

Kids can sleep anywhere. They can shut out anything.

Why do you think they are revamping the FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS???????

They have found that 60% or more of children under the age of 12 do not hear that sound at all.

I don't recall that this has ever been discussed, but I've been reading John Ramsey's police interviews again and some things (well actually quite a lot of things!) strike me as odd.

Lou Smit asked John about the journey home from the Whites and these are the key points he makes:-

1. That it is only about 6 minutes drive from the White's to the Walker's.
2. Only Patsy went into the Walker house - John, Burke and JonBenet stayed in the car.
3. That it was another 2 minute drive from the Walker house to the Stine house.
4. John DOES NOT RECALL if Burke went into the Stine house.
5. John DOES NOT RECALL if Jonbenet went into the Stine house.
6. John DOES NOT RECALL if HE went into the Stine house.

eh? This is supposed to be the last few hours of his daughter's life and he doesn't recall if he went into someone's home or if he sat in the car with the kids? In my experience, people who lose a loved one suddenly and tragically tend to go over and over in their mind those last moments that they were together.....OK...

However one thing does strike me as odder - that he doesn't recall if Jonbenet went into the house. So he isn't claiming that she was asleep at this point..... AND...

7. They THEN debated whether to go to the Fernie's
8. But decided NOT to because
9. It was a 15 minute drive and
10. BOTH the kids might have wanted to go in there which would have resulted in
10. Another 45 minutes when they had an early start...

Note that John remembers debating going to the Fernie's but NOT whether he and the kids went into the Stines. Their decision NOT to go to the Fernie's did not include their need to get a sleeping Jonbenet home - 2 minutes away.

2 minutes later, the Ramseys were at home and in that space of 2 minutes, Jonbenet had become so zonked that she didn't waken up even when they put her in bed and semi-undressed her....

I find this very odd indeed. Quite a few inconsistencies. I know kids can fall asleep quickly but if my children were trying to fall asleep even 10/15 minutes from home, I'd be trying to keep them awake! "Don't go to sleep!" is a common exclamation in our car when we're nearing home after a long trip.

Yet according to John, JonBenet may have gone from 'visiting' at that Stines to 'zonked' at the Ramseys - within the space of 2 minutes - yet in the moments prior to her falling into this zonked condition, her parents didn't consider her exhaustion as a factor in whether or not to keep the kids up for another 45 minutes whilst they visited yet more friends!

Patsy is similarly vague. She says that she *thinks* she went into the Stines by herself but that it might have been her and Burke because Doug is Burke's friend.

I just can't get my head around this. I always try to relate to things by imagining myself in a similar scenario. What I DO know is that when someone close to me has died, the events surrounding it have been imprinted in my mind - possibly because in trying to come to terms with what has happened, I've gone over and over things in my mind.

Also - this wasn't just some routine stop at a friend's house.

a) It was Christmas day and they were delivering (collecting?) presents.
b) It was the last few hours of their daughter's life
c) They had ample time to discuss this with each other and with friends.

They spent enormous amounts of time in Susan Stine's company over the months between the murder and those interviews. Didn't Susan Stine ever describe how she remembered that night? i.e. We didn't see Jonbenet because she was in the car.... We came out to say "Hi" and she was fast asleep....

Doesn't make sense.

In Cyrill Wecht's book there is a part that speaks of the lawyers for the Ramseys knowing that Patsy did it. Was very interesting. Supposedly a girlfriend of one of the lawyers said he told her, we know Patsy did it.

John Ramsey is an intelligent man who made all the right decisions in getting his wife off.

And what is really interesting and bizarre at the same time, is the lengths they go to prove their innocence - the interviews on Larry King Live, Barbara Walters, Katie Couric, Bill Kurtis. It is nonstop. That is what I find fascinating AND I BELIEVE 100% that they did it or know who did it and that they both aided and abetted in covering it up.

Supposedly one of the lawyers for the Ramseys told his girlfriend that they believed that Patsy did it. Of course it is hearsay, because it is from the girlfriend and certainly the lawyer is not about to admit it. It is a short paragraph in the book and I am 99% sure that it came from Cyrill Wecht's book. I will look it up when I go home tonight. Have to find my book.

I wonder if he regrets that now.It cost him almost everything,and he has a rep. for lying now...a few ppl were fooled,but not many,I believe.It certainly didn't save his image(not to mention his money) to do the wrong thing and not immediately turn her in.I believe she had sexual abuse of JB on him,and that's what tied his hands.

And I believe that JB was "bubbly" when she helped to carry in presents into the house too. I believe Burke...that was his initial statement. And then he changed it to match that of his parents....she was asleep. How do you mix up walking in on her own, and helping to carry in presents....to oh, I MEANT TO SAY....she was asleep. NO, IMO...JB walked into that house that night...and helped to carry presents...just like Burke said she did. They came up with the asleep story to keep their story straight....that's not as hard to remember, and keeps the Ramsey's from being questioned about that timeline. imo
