This is why I believe JD, he has way too much to lose. Apparently, if he loses he has to pay 100 million! I am trying to find article where I read this. My apologies in advance.

This and the fact that many if his exes were willing to testify that this is not his nature in their experience. There has never been any suggestion that I can recall during Depp's long career that he is an abuser or that he treats women badly.
Amber Heard on the other hand has been accused of physical violence to at least one previous partner.
I believe him and I believe Amber has proved me wrong and she is actually a way better actress than I gave her credit for.

Yes, sorry I edited/ added to my post.
I’m not sure about the tones or accent.
The word searching is familiar to me though.
I am concerned how he will be on cross.
He may surprise us all.

edited re: accent….he’s lived in the UK & France

I can see that--a mishmash of KY, CA, UK and France. I just googled an interview w/ AH and JD from that movie Rum Diary and he sounded the same, so he's not just doing it for this trial.

AH sounded bright and sweet during that interview, so either she's a great actress, or she's gone WAY downhill.

He's there. They showed him when he first came in the court room. He's sporting another pony tail today
It was the coverage I was watching. The cameras were on the witness stand the whole time. I switched to court t.v. and they had a much better view of the room. Found he and ah both.

I hope tomorrows testimony has more to do with the accusations. I feel JD deserved his time and opportunity to 'set the record straight' on his past, but it fell a little slow, flat and word-y today

Johnny did get in the fact that her family & friends lived free in his penthouses .
He bought those ,btw , before the Amber relationship.
She -became- what he thought he needed.
I have no doubt she talked her way around the -pre- or -post- nup.
He got baited & switched.
And when he’d had enough ...she started to create her exit narrative$.
The 7 million wasn’t enough.
She set out to destroy his career... because she had none.

Amber who?

He’s very long winded, but I feel like he’s got a lot to say after six years and it’s spilling out this way. There were times I wished he’d get to the point but he’s quite introverted and shy, he’s always spoken like this. He’s painting a very interesting and insightful picture, albeit rather slowly.

Did the 2 of them testify in the UK trial?

Thing is - the more someone rambles on, the more the jury will begin to tune out.

Important details could get lost in all the rambling.

He's very monotone too, which just adds to the disengagement.

Exactly! I was very engaged when he spoke about his addiction to opioids, when he spoke about his childhood, and when he was speaking about AH. I got lost during the 'creative writing, creative music, painting etc... I realize he is a gifted and talented man, but that was a big snore to me. It just accentuated his eccentric ism, IMO

I find him credible and her a complete b!tch!

With the Me Too movement as strong as it was when she presented her "essay", someone else would have come forward to smear him.

What is sad is this combined with his years with his mom actually breaks my heart. He may be an actor, but he is human first and foremost. People like AH seem to believe that money comes above humanity.

He’s an introvert fighting for his reputation IMO.
Jurors may just get him…get it all.

As an introvert with a similar childhood, known as the "invisible child" in my family because I would disappear to my room when home life became heated - I found Johnny to be very credible and relatable. While I never turned to self medicating two of my siblings did so that is relatable as well. I have the "need" to create.. I sew, knit, paint, play the piano, do woodwork, etc but not to summon what I need to summon, my need to create is to keep my mind busy to drown out the childhood and ex abusive husband demons that haunt me over 30 years later. I thought his security team working for him for almost 2 decades showed they consider him to be pleasant to work for. He came across as a loving father, a generous person, and someone that does not like confrontation. Despite his celebrity status I thought he was humble and grateful for his success.

JD has lived most of his life outside of Ky, and he doesn't sound like "us" when he speaks. I think he is fluent in French, but, I'd still claim him as a fellow Kentuckian if asked :)

The attorney described it as bizarre, and I've heard others describe it as boring. Some may have wanted to shout that old tv-show line, "Just the facts, ma'am" while watching. Personally, I saw his testimony as an artistic soul trying to explain his feelings, and how he's viewed and lived his 58 years... and trying to honestly (in his own way - not an actor playing a part) clear his name in the face of horrible accusations by a person he loved. This is, of course, jmo... I have no idea what the jurors think now or in the weeks to come.
