This guy is absolutely the lowest of scum. I'd like to ask why his child support was only $200 a month. This is extremely low and wouldn't in any way even come close to supporting a child. The fact that he wouldn't even pay that measly sum says the worst about the guy. He has no morals and no integrity whatsoever. I wonder if he has tried to do anything at all for his child over the years. He makes me sick. Casey got just what she deserved by hiring this 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Quoting from prior post (I'm assuming the closed thread will be merged in?)

"I think it's unfair to bring up JB's personal life in a career issue. Firstly, the child support system is very biased towards men. Alot of men pay cash for their kids and the system does not take that into consideration and alot of men pay child support and the spouse will not let them see the children.

Secondly, what does filing a pesonal bankruptcy and falling behind on your student loans have to do with being an attorney?

Our 42nd president did his job quite well although he received bj's from his intern."

Couple points to make:

1) Admission to the bar is general admission, and not by specialty. Once JB got his law license, he could be the atty for a title company for example, and be responsible for the funds placed in escrow when borrowers purchase or refinance. (I once worked for an attorney who got busted dipping into these funds...he got 2.5 years in federal prison). As an attorney, he could act as executor of a will in a probate case, or the receiver in a bankruptcy and be responsible for the disposition of assets, etc., etc. If he can't manage his own assets, it would be foolish to trust him with the assets of others.

2) Saying the child support system is biased against men, a lot of men pay cash, etc. is like saying red is better than blue. It's an opinion, wholly unsupported by fact. Lots of men pay their child support in full, on time. Lots dont. Some have valid reasons for falling behind, i.e. job loss, health problems, etc. Others make a cold hearted choice not to give their children the support they deserve. To be fair, we really don't know if JB had a valid reason for falling behind or not. However, if he did, the court likely would have taken that into account.

:floorlaugh:

Baez is hilarious, he should take his act on the road ..

He is quite the one man circus act isn't he? The 4 letter clown nickname he's been given fits him perfectly.

Pulling this over from the other thread, worth reading, if you haven't read the specifics. (J.A.B.'s Miata car lease= $320/mo.- paid. Child support $200/mo-unpaid, etc)
........................................................................................................
More complete details from the Fla. Board of Examiners, regarding J.A.B.:

$200.00! He couldn't even scrape up a measly two hundred bucks per month to help support his child? First of, $200.00 is nothing - I can't believe he was ordered to pay such a small monthly amount! I guess he placed his beloved sports car and gym membership at a much higher priority! :furious:

Thanks for this!

Baez seems to have a problem with paying court reporters. Up in Virginia as well as here... that can't help his reputation in the legal community!

MM, I can't open the link.....any suggestions?

Don't know, it opened for me... but I had to do a "new search" putting his name in.

I also downloaded the docs. :)

Orange County court reporting firm got a $4k + judgement against him.

"this profile you are writing has nothing to do with Jose Baez's representation of Casey Anthony and appears to be a sensationalist persecution of a Hispanic lawyer who has been targeted by a newspaper... "

the investigators said he left out parts of his history, including that he wrote a bad check and entered a pretrial program to avoid conviction.

I agree with Ms. MacKenzie. These are all mishconshtruthamentificalications solely because Mr. Baez is Hispanic. Being an immoral deceitful law breaker has nothing to do with it.

LOL!!!! ITA. I'm a Hispanic and I can tell ya', this profile has nothing to do at all with his race, ethnicity, discrimination or persecution. Instead, it has everything to do with a lawyer who seems so smug, arrogant, condescending and stomach-turning that someone needed to uncover the truth about who he is in a concrete way. I have learned in my eight years in the business (passed on the first try and admitted a couple months later, by the way!), that people often pick lawyers who mirror their own ethics, personalities and sense of morals. So, SP picks Geragos, Ted Bundy picks himself and casey Anthony picks JB! As an attorney and a Hispanic myself, what do I think about JB? Ugh!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry guys, but this is hilarious-this is the guy who is going to QB a death penalty case? NOT.....

However, this does give him added incentive to sell his story etc to the highest bidder....hmmmm.....oops sorry. He is too ethical. My bad.

PSST; JB the bus is coming for you....change of venue or no change of venue.

Mods, remove at will...:blowkiss:

The links are really giving me a hard time. I test them before I post them here and then poof........they don't work.
Try going here
http://www.osceolaclerk.com/RecordingDivsion.htm
Then click "Official Records Online"
For the search just enter "baez jose" and go to page 4 you will see the Jose A and the Jose Angel Baez entries.
There may also be some under Jose Baez but I didn't go through all 4 pages of them.

Respectfully snipped. A simple assault charge and he later starts a non-profit for Domestic Violence victims. He doesn't pay child support, fails to provide HEALTH INSURANCE for his only daughter and starts a non-profit called 'Miracles for Children"...the absolute gall astonishes me.

Kind of makes you wonder if he's giving C & GA advice on how to start/make profitable their "non-profit" foundation, doesn't it? If you notice, both of the non-profits he started, lasted only a short time, and neither had annual reports filed, as far as I can see.

Wow! I just read part two!

Quote from part two of the OS article:

"In refusing to be interviewed, Baez issued a statement chiding the Sentinel for writing about him. Commenting on recent coverage, it said "your discrimination against a young, hard-working Hispanic lawyer who represents a high-profile client borders on racism. I wonder what reactions this profile on a prominent Hispanic lawyer will have on your readership."

O M G!! UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE! I'm at a loss for words here! WHAT IS THIS GUY'S PROBLEM?

Who ever called JB a "prominent" lawyer? This whole statement seemed prominently redundant on the whole "Hispanic" thing JB's now trying to hide behind. :chicken: In fact, "I wonder" how many Hispanics could even identify with JB's "suffrage" or approve of the ethical example he is setting for other Hispanic lawyers that are genuinely prominent in character.

We all know I'm slow------something I don't understand:
http://198.140.240.30/or_web1/new_sch.asp
Here is a bunch of what looks like properties, all with JB's name at the front of each. Are these properties all in his name?

Wife Lorena is listed in the public records search, also, and listed on a couple of properties, for what it's worth.

Well, she was working at his office this past summer, as the public relations person (pre-Todd Black). Don't know if it was a paid job or not, but...

Thanks for this!

Baez seems to have a problem with paying court reporters. Up in Virginia as well as here... that can't help his reputation in the legal community!

And possibly expert witnesses as well (the $10,000 judgment from the Dr. who has been expert witness in many other cases).

Which got me to thinking.....maybe there really is NO "mystery benefactor" or money trail. It appears that Baez has hired "help" with the few cases he has had in the past, then run out and not paid them. I am wondering if maybe all of Casey's "expert witnesses" were assured by Baez that they would be paid. Could be that during all those meetings in his office when she was out on bail (video of her toting binders into meetings) the plan was hatched that they WOULD sell photos of Caylee to fund her attorneys, as well as H. Lee, LKB, Dr Baden, etc but then when the prosecution filed the motion for a hearing concerning how everyone was being paid, their little plan was blown. Haven't seen or heard a comment from Henry Lee, Dr Baden or any of the other attorneys in a very long time....maybe because they realize that there is no money source as baez promised?

As for the second $500,00 bond to get Casey out of jail by the "want to remain anonymous benefactor", could Baez or his wife have put their $600+ house up for bond? Wasn't Baez' wife's cellphone number linked to Kidfinders or Todd Black at one time back in August/Sept?
