Even his motion for change of venue was all wrong, he was mentioning a lot of national media, eye,ye, eye! How can he have the Anthony's going on TV, and he and other lawyers on the case be on TV and then complain to the judge about the level of media coverage?

The judge is probably still :floorlaugh: about it!

Quoting him tonight, he's raging against the reporters in Orlando calling them "unethical" and they will be dealt with:waitasec::waitasec: After what came out about his background today, & he's using the word "unethical"

I hope he's dealt with...........

Like the stove calling the kettle black!!

It says:
During the summer of 2008, Christina was hired by her father, Jose Baez, to handle all media relations in the Casey Anthony case and the search for her missing daughter, Caylee Anthony. During this period, Christina handled all national and local media appearances for her father in print, network and cable television, and radio. Christina has worked closely with major print publications such as People magazine and the Orlando Sentinel.
(How interesting, I thought Todd Black was doing all of that?)

The same way he could lease a sportscar for $340/month and not be able to pay his daughter's child support $200/mo. or health insurance, I'm guessing :)
Wait a minute.... **picks up spectacles**

Did you type $200.00 a month in child support? You've got to be kidding. An "attorney" paying $200.00 a month in child support (arrears I might add)? That's a freaking joke. A pittance. If my math calculations are correct, it comes out to approx. $6.60/day.:woohoo:

What a loser!!! I am a huge advocate for moms receiving child support... (I have raised my kids as a single parent now for 14 years and they are almost grown). And I am so glad that this has been brought out in the news about him because we all know why he is involved in this case. He's a jerk and they deserve each other!

During July and August 2008, PR was handled by Christina. Here's one snippet:
Christina Baez, speaking on behalf of her father, defense attorney Jose Baez, said the Anthonys want to bond their 22-year-old daughter out of jail as soon as possible, but the bail amount is "outrageous."
From this article: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/serv...landstate/orl-caylee2408jul24,0,7351291.story

She's also twittering: http://twitter.com/christina_baez
Not very interesting except for Jan. 30th entry. Wonder what the media reported that day?
At least she can put together a grammatically correct sentence unlike her replacement, Mr. Black.

Thought she worked for him when KC was there. Guess it wasn't a rumor.

$200.00! He couldn't even scrape up a measly two hundred bucks per month to help support his child? First of, $200.00 is nothing - I can't believe he was ordered to pay such a small monthly amount! I guess he placed his beloved sports car and gym membership at a much higher priority! :furious:

What this tells us is, unless his ex-wife is independently wealthy, he fought for a low support, probably on the grounds of being a lowly student and also claimed to keep said child X amount of the time to keep support low.

Since the dollar amount didn't go up as his income increased his ex discovered it did no good to keep taking him to court, it's time consuming and costly. And he isn't paying anyway. For the amount to reach 12G between 1993 and 2004 he paid his support slightly less than half the time. If he's like a lot of deadbeats he probably paid regularly for the first couple years, gradually paying less until he stopped paying at all.

Finally in 2004, something moved her to to get the DA to attach his wages, possibly her daughters 18th BDay was the catalyst. The money, $550/mo was being deducted each month, from 2004 until he left in 2005, but he didn't have them take any extra to get it paid off while he was at Lexis/Nexis, when they stopped cutting his check he "forgot" to keep sending the money so in 2007 the DA charged him with contempt. At that point he either paid her off or they made an agreement to keep his arse out of the pokey. A measly 4$G, 11 years after his original judgment.

Once again he is either above all those people these laws are written for or just an angry little man who lashes out at those he can't control by whatever means available. With ex-wives the easiest way to prove he still has control is by withholding his child support. Petty, petty. petty...

He is still arrogant, has no respect for the legal process and is totally rude to his opposing prosecutor and still doesn't answer direct questions, he always dances around the issue. He has not be rehabilitated in that sense..he may have overcome his "financial" situation but not his demeanor..

He is a perfect match for KC...his true colors will shine through at trial and will be despised by the jurors...which means, :behindbar for KC for the rest of her sorry life....

No rumor, fact...

 Yeppers...sometimes you piss off the wrong people too many times....I think JB went beyond a line and his fellow lawyers are doing a little:) heinie spankin'

Muzikman,

I tried to open this and it came up empty. Did this include the judgments from Pebble Point? There were a couple of them that I saw earlier tonight.

Did you unzip it? A folder should appear with the docs.

Did not see a Pebble Point doc, these are the court reporter and Dr. from St. Pete judgements.

Thanks for this!

Baez seems to have a problem with paying court reporters. Up in Virginia as well as here... that can't help his reputation in the legal community!

Does he have judgments against him in Virginia too?

Sorry MAMABEAR, I think the Forum's way of shortening the URLs is messing them up.
Let me get tiny urls for you.

http://tinyurl.com/cry7n9 This is the one for 10,000. for the DR. Click blue box that says "get image"

http://tinyurl.com/dgs994 Another judgment from 2009

http://tinyurl.com/czughz Marriage license

Notice the first was a Summary Judgment
http://www.lectlaw.com/def2/s102.htm

The second was a Default Judgment (JB failed to even appear!)

Well that's certainly interesting. Thanks for posting that, whiteangora.

This was mentioned in the Sentinel article on Sunday, they talked to the court reporter. Baez wouldn't pay her until she took it up with the State Bar there.

Yes you are right... and she's a MUCH BETTER woman than me because I would have had him LOCKED UP IN A QUICK MINUTE. So stupid for these men to play games with money that is supposed to go towards feeding the kids. Unbelievable! :behindbar

I wonder who, at the Orlando Sentinel did JB pee off b/c although the website article looks like most others w/ text & a pic, however I receive this paper in my driveway and read it ceremoniously everyday and I was a little taken aback by this morning's Sunday frontpage. I mean, true newspapers are dying but what a tabloid this once respectible paper has become!

http://www.creationwiz.com/misc/frontpage.pdf

I had to save it & store it on my domain b/c they change it daily.

IMO...JB went too far WITHIN his own professions limits. I think he pushed too far and stepped on too many lawyerly toes  and is now getting a little smackdown from his peers. I would bet my last flavor blasted goldfish cracker that he was repeatedly told to rein it in.

Sometimes professions, in fact most workplaces have a way of disciplining their own. IMO JB just bit the hand that fed him and they are letting him reap what he has sown.

An ironic smack as in: "be careful what you wish for"...you want publicity and cameras JB? Well here they are....:)

You're probably right about the tabloid, but think about what they are printing and what people are buying.

Tot mom Jailed for murder of 2 yr old

M Vick Rich Famous Footballer abusing his puppies, creating vicious pit bulls

Local Teachers 24 yr old (female) teacher arrested for sex with students

Ditto

Ditto

Tennis Instructor busted for kiddie 🤬🤬🤬🤬, parents protest calling him a "great guy"

D Hasselhoff taken to hospital with alcohol poisoning

Ambulance driver, former Bahamas senator plead not guilty in Travolta extortion case

Kinda sounds like something you only found in the tabloids a few years ago. Sad but true Newspapers have dumbed down like everything else, to keep up.

I mean for goodness sake KC Anthony has her own subtitle on the front page!!
