His client is only innocent until proven guilty IN A COURT OF LAW. What the public perceives is also their right to free speech. He needs to go back to law school and learn how to file a motion and how to investigate a case - he wants EVERYONE ELSE to do the work for him. It doesn't work that way

Couldn't have said it better and couldn't agree more!:clap::clap:

We have all brought up the fact, more then once, that we find it odd that KC spends 6 hours a day in his office. You know sometimes I question myself, like I am sure others do. I think, "Maybe you are just overly suspicious." Today when the prosecutors office questioned the HCO, several times, as to whether she had other clients who do this I was relieved to know that the prosecutor's find this odd also. The HCO admitted that she didn't have nor has she ever had a client before that spent this much time in her attorney's office.
I feel that he is too emotionally invested in this case. For whatever reason it may be.
I also feel that he doesn't think things through. When he demanded that he see all the investigation into ZFG, he gave away the fact that he knows there is NO ZFG. If there was he would know who she is. Especially since he has had all time to be questioning his client.
I just have a lot of questions regarding this man and what's really going on here. Maybe he approached her to make a name for himself. If that's the case he is totally not spending enough time thinking these weird motions of his through. IMHO:waitasec:

Watching him try to spit it out was like watching the grass grow. I fell asleep during Part 2 of the video. OTOH, the state attorney was pretty good IMO.

How much would you say the bill for his services is up to at this point? How is she ever going to pay it? I went to a lawyer for something small and it cost me $5,000.00 - how is he going to get paid for this? I don't get it....

According to this story, Jose Baez has handled 3 high profile cases, one of them was murder of a child in Lake County.

Nilton Diaz -- accused in death of a child (boxer's granddaughter). Found Guilty.

Mayor (Dr.) George Gant -- sex charges (inappropriate touching of patients during exams). Not Guilty.

Elvira Garcia -- kidnapping of 6 week old infant. She stated the baby belonged to her. Story doesn't state outcome of trial.

I think Baez will do most anything within the Law to appease Casey. He has to know there is a chance the A's will hire another Attorney if Casey is indicted.

It's my understanding that Casey has never been in general population ......right ??? So how could she have gotten JB number from a fellow inmate ??

That's exactly what I thought when I heard that. Another lie from Casey (the child killer)

Does anyone know if Jose is in his office while KC is there? Maybe he just lets her hang out, use the computer, get her hair done, nails polished, watch TV....anything to get away from Cindy.

pisses me off- he makes it sound like the local law enforcement, the state, the FBI, are all out to get his client. They are doing thier job. He makes it sound like they are destroying evidence, tampering, and lying.

He is doing a dis-service to his future clients and his reputation in that county as long as he keeps insaulting state, LE, and FBI.

Actually, Defense attorneys are always dissing LE - it is part of their job description I think:) Seriously, I don't know if you have followed other cases where the accused doesn't have a whole lot of credibility - but the Defense will do the same thing every single time. I joke about it, but it kind of is their job, in that they have to defend their client against any and all evidence, whether it has made the news or during the trial.

While I don't LIKE the fact that defense attorneys pull this kind of stuff, they have to vigorously defend their client - if they don't, that leaves the door open for appeal if the defendent is found guilty. Defense Attorneys are a necessary evil - and you know, sometimes, just sometimes, they manage to keep an innocent person out of prison. Not this time, of course, Casey is guilty, no doubt about it!

Holding cell. It takes about 2-3 hours to do everything that needs to be done to actually put a prisoner in jail - paperwork, fingerprints, pictures, etc. Between each event, prisoners are put in holding cells usually with other prisoners, Lots of time to chat.

There have been times he has not been in his office and KC was not allowed to leave her house during those times. I remember at least twice Jose was out of town and KC was home. One of those times, he went to visit KC at her home after he'd been out of town for the day.

So apparently she cannot be in his office if he's not there.

I also think he is besotted with her. The hand-holding, hugging, buyrying her face in his neck seem to go beyond attorney-client privilege. moo

KC actually got his name and number off of a board and also asked for a good lawyer while waiting to be booked. This is what I heard from the news. I guess she picked a winner. IMHO.

I believe it specifically says "to visit with her attorney."

Also, protective custody is not TOTAL isolation from other inmates. True- you are not in a cell with anyone else. However, there are other cells and inmates around you. They can talk to each other through the doors and she may have even went out to rec with others on protective custody. IMO

Also kiting goes on

On the OC court records website JB is listed as the atty. on a total of 46 cases. 2 of which are KC's. Under each case number there may be more more than one count. I looked only at the felonies and have listed the most serious offense under each case number. This does not include KC's cases. It breaks down to-

Armed Burglary- 1
Burglary- 3
Prostitution- 1 (I think this was a felony due to prior convictions.)
Petit Theft- 2
Drug poss. 10
Sexual Assualt 1
Driving w/ DL susp 2
Arson 1
Ag. 🤬🤬🤬. w/firearm 1
Alt. DL 1
Grand Theft Auto 1
Poss Firearm 1
Trafficing C.S. 1
Fleeing Police 1

Three of these cases are/were in Judge Stricklands court. Was unable to see what the sentences were for these cases.

I have read he also practices in Lake County. Have not had a chance to check the web-site.

This is great information:clap:. It seems from these cases he is in WAY over his head. I think she will change lawyers.

Here is a Kathi Belich elevator interview with JB:

Discuss amongst yourselves:

I have to admit I do not care for Kathy Belich's style of reporting, just my opinion of course, but the clip was really funny. Poor JB, what a nightmare, in an elevator with a news reporter and a camera person - you know he was prayin for all he was worth that the elevator didn't get stuck between floors!

He is not doing anything that any other attorney would do for his client with regard to motions he brings before the court. Just because the court says "motion denied" doesn't mean the motion shouldn't be asked. In fact, motions now go on record that he has asked and received certain objects of evidence. As a MATTER OF RECORD, it is important. Yes, the court found several points where he asked and was told essentially to do his own investigation; however, that does not address what I was getting at overall.

He has a client that is reprehensible in the court of public opinion and is doing his best to follow the rule of the law. I think your post is not only condescending to me but misses my point completely.

This guy is doing his job and it is easy to deflect anger at what we, the public, believe are Casey's actions in the disappearance of her daughter. It is natural to want everyone to see the "truth" as we all seem to be seeing it. That "truth" says this guy shouldn't be defending her. This "truth" says that anything he's doing is manipulative and deceitful. This "truth" as we see it suggests that anyone with a primitive brain would see she's guilty as sin and needs to be electrocuted right this minute. However, this "truth" to me says he is doing what the law allows in order to defend his client, and if people have a problem with that, they need to take that up with the Judiciary branch, and not a lawyer who is defending his client with the tools at hand.

And again, saying all that, it is not to say that the bile in my stomach doesn't rise when I think about the potential of Casey walking away free. Saying all that, it is not to say that I believe she is innocent and undeserving of electric accessories for her last moments on earth. Saying all that, it does not say anything other than the guy has a job to do and within the laws, he is doing it.

As always, my opinion, while not humble, is my own.
