What made you feel compelled to pursue a career in forensics, death investigation, etc.? Is there a significant event that influenced your interests, or a cumulation of experiences that aided in choosing your career?
Also, as a fellow Southerner, has that had an impact on your career, negative or positive?
I’m a born and bred Floridian who has also spent significant time doing volunteer work on the Gulf Coast, here and Louisiana specifically, I’ve noticed sometimes that people can be dismissive of one because of that,— along with having to work around complicated issues of overburdened, underfunded, and unfortunately sometimes, corrupted government and law enforcement.
If you could give any advice to others who are curious about pursuing a similar career, what would it be? Are there things you wished you knew before you moved from college to career, and what qualities do you think matter most in order to pursue a career like yours?
Thank you so much!
