When I get a chance I want to poke around and sese if the place in Paragould has any "history." It seems to fit a pattern of places that use religious freedom protections to collect money from well-meaning congregations to "save" lost folks. Many have been accused of myriad abuses (and others just continue to fly beneath the radar).

One interesting tidbit from looking at their site. The place goes by the name of Teen Mission--but only accepts folks who are 18 and over (and must pass blood work, and not be pregnant). They claim a high rate of success (defined as "graduates" who self-report to be doing well) for their graduates--however, no indication of how many who start their "program" (only definition provided is 5.5 hours of daily Bible study) actually graduate.

Personally, I think that josh is just the first of many of the Duggar children that will eventually make scandalous headlines. And it's quite likely josh isn't finished being front page news either.

I have first cousins who grew up in this lifestyle; and every facet was monitored, censored, shunned, or not allowed. Eventually all of the children rebelled worse than any of my other cousins. Three of the four have experimented with same sex relationships, three have had serious drug issues, one had an inter racial relationship. And so much more. Their parents almost lost it when they realized that they had zero power over the children once they reached age of consent.

It's quite possible many of the duggar children will "taste the forbidden fruit" and love the flavor of the sweet nectar as well....

It's quite the misfortune for at least some of these kids that the parents chose to make them live their lives in the spotlight. Josh's life is pretty much ruined for now, his name is synonymous with pervy hypocrite. Maybe not forever, this will pass and people will forget they ever heard of him once the family gets off the TV. But it's gotta suck at the moment.

But if he was just some nobody who was never on TV telling the world he didn't kiss before marriage, no one would have gone digging after his childhood molestations and if he got caught in the Ashley Madison hack he'd be just in trouble with his wife, parents and his pastor, and it's quite possible that they wouldn't even find out. No one besides the nearest and dearest would give a damn if some unknown dude from Arkansas watches or cheats.

And who knows if he'd even be married if it wasn't for the storyline?

Not sure how many women there have been. I don't think this is the same woman who performs in a club, has made movies and was "gifted" a couple of large sums for having "consensual" relations. I would imagine that she knows all about prevention (as well as what words to say in order to make it appear as though their liaison was legal--despite the quid pro quo).

Having unprotected relations, however, certainly puts the rest of his family at risk for diseases--which I find even more loathsome.

I was "assuming" that the woman who had unprotected sex with Duggar was the same star/prostitute he shorted $500 on the first go around. Maybe she needs to be tested for STDs. I surely don't think that she was the only one that JD had sex with.
