The reason Homeland Security is involved in catching those involved in any aspect of CSE in the US relates not only to the domestic Federal criminal codes, but because the mission now is to analyze the files for other messages related to any number of terrorist cells.
Usually, this, if present, will be embedded.

I have done my research on this, and posted about the process of tracing the origin of CSE images early in this thread because I wanted to know specifically WHY Homeland Security was the agency prosecuting CSE users and all those involved instead of the FBI and the above is the answer.
I can provide links for those who do not understand that one evil ( a CSE file) can corrupt in more than one way.

Like minded people who want to view CSE files have to find an established email group and get on the list. Now I've said the thing I didn't want to say. Sickos sharing with sickos. Because it's illegal to make, own, download, or share, there is no cost that I can find anywhere on the legitimate WWW research.

If people want to look on the bad part of the web and find a charge fee, that's up to them but is that really the point anyway? Children's lives destroyed for sickos.

Yes please, I would like to see your links, I looked for them but cannot find anything after reading many links about HSI’s work on internet child sexual abuse, but nothing about the link between child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and international terrorism.
I think TOS require the links to your research anyway.
This is all I could find, they participate because once a criminal act is on the Internet, it crosses interstate and international borders, and also, our best digital technology experts are in HSI.
Both of these links are long but very informative.
Homeland Security team focuses on child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 investigations
When you think of homeland security, you probably think of stopping terrorist plots, protecting the border and immigration agents. But in Hampton Roads, the agency does a whole lot more. They also investigate child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and those predators who try to take advantage of kids on the Internet.
Part of the job of the Homeland Security Investigations team is getting inside computers, cell phones, and other digital devices to fight crime on the Internet.
“The Internet has no borders, which is why this has come under the purview as well of Homeland Security Investigations,” Lamonea explained.
“In today's day and age, the world [without HSI] would be very different,” he added. “There'd be no counter to the nefarious activity. “So, their skill sets are integral and they're even going to be more integral as we move into the future. Technology's not going anywhere.”
This next article is really interesting, it tells how they caught a New Jersey family after child sex abuse was recorded in their home and opened in Australia and how they rescued the child.
Rescuing the child is the number one, main goal, of HSI in cases of child sexual abuse.
“Identify the victim and you will identify the perpetrator”.
Homeland Security Takes the Lead in Battle Against Online Child Exploitation: Part Two
Homeland Security Investigations is one of three federal agencies, along with the FBI and U.S. Postal Inspectors, investigating child exploitation crimes. But HSI’s top brass will tell you that their agency spends the most time on the issue.
HSI launched Operation Predator in 2003 to combat child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 and child sexual exploitation and has since conducted nearly 31,000 criminal investigations. Of those, more than 8,000 people have been indicted on child exploitation charges, according to the most recent agency data available.
“Often times, we’re working cases that are from the Dark Net or from Tor that don’t have IP addresses or things that traditionally you could use for investigation are not available,” he said. Tor is a form of internet browsing that masks your IP address by bouncing it around a series of locations across the earth before reaching its final destination.

Thanks for this. I count mostly nonChristians and non-observants among those I hold dear, and I would have a real problem with my family being a product of some kind of master plan. That would be....shudder.
Religious faith is a personal view, involving personal decisions and individual thoughts. IMO.
IMO in this case, above all, we can’t insert personal religious beliefs. The only relevant ones are the Duggars’.
This is supported by the Flying Spaghetti Monster religion’s code of conduct:
“I’d Really Rather You Didn’ts”

Again to me, you are blaming foreign sites for this.
IMO there has been no category for domestic terrorism, at least no functional one. That has now changed, insofar as our intelligence and federal law enforcement regard domestic terrorists as one of the greatest threats to US democracy, so now the category is functional and overt.
As I thought about the quoted post, it seemed an interesting idea that terrorist groups are inserting recruitment and disinformation messages into online 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and child sexual exploitation. This doesn’t seem at all unlikely to me. They are ALL asocial and violent predators IMO.

I wonder if having the warehouse occupied affects the ta

Pre - paid debit/credit cards can be purchased in various denominations and assigned a fictitious name and address of the users choosing - much harder to trace.
True. Hopefully the investigators have found out whatever they need to convict him if he is guilty. IMO

Something I don't understand....

Josh was fired from the car dealership 2 years ago?
How is it that he's viewing CSE in the car dealership NOW?

Y'all, we have to be missing some big pieces, 'cos not only does much of this not make sense, but it REALLY doesn't make sense.

I am definitely not about belittling anyone. But children have legal guardians for a reason. The children have to be protected. If one adult in charge is not safe around children, it is absolutely the duty of the other to keep them safe. Why are we so quick to not hold adults accountable for keeping their children safe? In my opinion, until we start to change this dynamic, children will continue to be abused and exploited in the alarming rates that currently exist.

Exactly. At least all the adults in this situation have the option to go out the door and find a better situation. These kids are stuck with whatever these adults who seem to already be making terrible decisions around them decide to do.It really makes me sick.

The dates of the materials accessed were in 2019. He was arrested now, but the dates for the materials being charged were 2019

Was that on the charging document?

Legal question: If Josh is found guilty, can other Duggars be charged as accessories for turning a blind eye while there were kids all around?

I know that there are informal networks that financially assist people struggling in an insular community, such as Amish, Hasidic & Orthodox Jews, and FLDS. If Anna or someone like Anna is reading, Fraidy Reiss has an incredible story. There are resources - some formal, some not - to help someone with very limited/selective education to become financially independent. They might also provide child care assistance and legal help. I’ll put Fraidy’s bio at the end - her organization is devoted to arranged marriages, but the common theme is needing help from outside an insular community.

it would be nice for Anna to get info like this however, we do not know how the mail comes to the property. All going to one address and then someone goes over it and hands it out, or does the warehouse have its own mailbox which no one can get into because it is locked mailbox and only Anna has a key. I don’t think there is a computer in the warehouse, jmooo, and it could be monitored. It may be very hard to get info to Anna of any kind.

remember when the show first came out, it was said that computers were monitored, phone calls were listened into, and no TV…..all to protect the young and innocent? Being so strict did not help the accused at all.

I bet it is only the females who are subject to that scrutiny.

Legal question: If Josh is found guilty, can other Duggars be charged as accessories for turning a blind eye while there were kids all around?

Everything I have read says the alleged occurrences were at the car lot. Nothing has been said about anything occurring at home, around or against children in the home. I think with what they have released, charging somebody else with accessories would be a stretch. I would also guess, if guilty, he tried to keep all of this a secret. JMO

I think it is speculation that the alleged crime was committed at the car lot because the car lot was raided in late 2019. UPDATE: HSI amends information into Duggar investigation

The raid was initially stated to be at the Duggar home but HSI later stated it was at a business associated with the family (Josh's car lot). The family denied that ANY person of their family was the target of ANY investigation which we now know is a complete lie. I wouldn't be surprised to find that they also raided the warehouse on that day.

Also, there's a solid chance he was dumb enough to use an email account he also used at home. I have no doubt that Josh left plenty of proof and breadcrumbs for officials to follow on his devices.

Yes, middle of the page here is the PDF: Josh Duggar formally charged with receiving and possessing child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, pleads not guilty

If you can't get the PDF to show, here's what count 1 says: "Between on or about May 14, 2019, and on or about May 16, 2019, in the Western District of Arkansas, Fayetteville Division, the Defendant, JOSHUA JAMES DUGGAR, knowingly received child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, as that term is defined by 18 United States Code Section 2256(8)(B), using any means and facility of interstate and foreign commerce and that had been mailed, and had been shipped and transported in and affecting interstate and foreign commerce by any means, including computer, and attempted to do so."

Interestingly, the court stipulates that if Josh gets bond he must have a custodian to live with, as opposed to him just moving into an apartment or something. I guess that's to ensure he's a good boy and doesn't download more CSA material. Ugh:

"Given the nature of the charges against him, the court would likely require a third-party custodian that he could reside with and that would ensure compliance with conditions of bond so you all would need to get that line out and inform our probation office of who that person is so they could interview that person," Wiedemann said.
Josh Duggar won't be allowed to return home with his six children if he's released on bail

As for finances I'd think that if he can come up with bond money he could instead give it to his wife and children... but I don't see that happening. MOO.

The Duggars are no strangers to soliciting donations for themselves as shown by two of the adult children so certainly they'd know how to negotiate online funding in order to help Anna and her children. I guess the question is would they help? Would Jim and Michelle allow their grandchildren to go without food?

I think Anna will be okay. If she chooses to stand by Josh again then it's likely the Duggars will see to it that she and the kids are taken care of. If she chooses to leave it appears her own family will step up to help. After all, aren't these people devout Christians?

I am concerned about who Josh's custodian would be it says it would be a third-party person, but I'm worried they'd just let a Duggar do it anyway. Also, who would ever want to live with Josh? You couldn't pay me enough money to be in the same room as him, much less living together! I worry that there are ways around it that he would use to access the "materials". The best way to solve that issue (IMO) is keeping him in prison FOR LIFE!

She will never leave him imo. If it gets her kids taken away, I guess she will live with that. The religion (not Christianity, just their version of it) values men over children's safety. She is not in the best situation, living with soon to be 7 kids in subpar housing on the compound, but her own family, the Kellers, are very poor (her parents, at least). It would probably be better, financially-speaking, for her to stay on the Duggar property. Her parents also live in Florida which is probably farther from Arkansas than she would prefer to be.

(Apologies for double-posting)

It is my opinion that the 2019 car lot raid was because of something else, probably finance and fraud a related, and they discovered unexpectedly that Josh had accessed child abuse materials on his work computer, which again, he probably used his personal or work related email on. He is, luckily, an idiot and it is probably a lot easier for investigators to figure this out.

What was the 2019 real estate fraud suit?

Lol, I can see it now; "You take Josh!" "No, I don't want him, you take him!"

Seriously though IMO it'll probably end up being a minister or someone from their church.

And even if her own family is poor IMO Anna is luckier than many women with 6/7 kids. At least she has family, including 7 siblings, to turn to. Surely between two large families these ardent Christians can come up with help for Anna and her children? How hard would it be to provide her with food and shelter while she figures out her life? What about her church?

I'm not saying it wouldn't be hard but right now we don't even know what kind of finances Josh and Anna have but regardless it seems like she has a heck of a support system to turn to. Not every woman is so lucky.
