I still don’t think he’ll plead but, if he does or is convicted, will he have to register as a sex offender for life?

I hope they hit him with every possible fine and punishment. 10+ years supervised probation/parole, sex offender for life and a heavy fine and restitution to the children he victimized.

For life, yes. So he might have to give schools a wide berth but what about his family's home school? Hummm...

Anna will stay by his side no matter what.

But what on earth does she tell her children? What does JB say to his younger kids?

What will be said when Anna takes the kids to visit daddy in the Federal Pen?

How do you say daddy/brother made a mistake?

Rhetorical Questions
Stopping the denial would be a big step forward. When that takes place, they can talk honestly to the other children.

How can they deny he was downloading 🤬🤬🤬🤬?

He either was or wasn't.

Is Anna standing by him because she thinks he's being railroaded?
Or is Anna standing by him despite the fact he is guilty and she knows it?

Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we start to deceive.....

Don't forget that JD used the same password that he used to access the CSAM images as he did for several other applications such as his bank account. What are the odds another employee at the car dealership knew JD's password he regularly used elsewhere?

Well…to play devil’s advocate, it is not that unlikely that others knew his passwords IMO. When I worked, I handed out a chart of passwords to the secretaries - my work email and other work sites. Made life easier for me, and I’m sure there was overlap between work and personal life - same password for a work-reimbursed newspaper as my personal subscription to NYT, for example. But never for sensitive things, like personal email, banking, or social media.

I’m not familiar with the work habits of a used car salesman, but I imagine there could be a reason for several employees to share an account - maybe for a credit-checking website?

Maybe Josh wants to see the employee phones not for CSAM (LE said none) but to see if an employee logged into, say, Josh’s social media? If so, that employee could - theoretically - try out Josh’s social media password on a CSAM site (knowing that people use the same password for many things). This is a tenuous argument, of course. And I’m sure LE has ways to link a person with downloads…otherwise, all the CSAM defendants would be set free if their login was “password1.”

Homeschooler & public schooler here. It’s going to cause problems for his kids’ education. Arkansas doesn’t allow homeschooling in a home with a RSO (links at the end). Some homeschoolers form co-ops where instruction takes place at someone’s home - Josh can’t be around kids other than his own. Oh, and now things like soccer or acting classes will be limited because he can’t exactly hand out post-game snacks or attend rehearsals.

Sounds as if Anna will be a single Mom, then a single Mom who has to bring each & every child with her every time she leaves the house.

Errr whoops leaves the machine shed.

Can Anna and/or Anna and the children move in with Josh at this house he is living with? If it’s not in any filings specifically saying she and the kids cannot move in, then she could. The filing just said he cannot live with them at the building on his parents land….thanks for any info….will read tomorrow….good night

I suppose that would be up to the homeowner? At least one member of that couple has expressed some, er, dissatisfaction with the experience so far IIRC.

Also a guess, that might be patriarch JB's decision.

Truly heartbroken for Anna. We are each dealt different hands in life, really glad that I didn't have to play the hand Anna was dealt! (Or little MD, MD, MD; and TV personalities Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, JoyAnna, Jennifer, Johanna, Josie, and others.)

Any news of a please deal? I do think JB will try to keep this out of the media.

No. This is a private home and it is an imposition for them to just have Josh over there. The wife wasn't even thrilled having Josh hanging around all day while she was there alone with him. There is no way Anna and 6 kids and a coming newborn could move in. Anna can visit if it is OK with the wife.

The off MSM sites say Anna visits him over there alot - maybe that is true maybe not. I suspect that Josh spends most of his time at his own home with Anna and the kids and then sleeps at the other place.

There doesn't seem to be any time limits on how long he can be at his own home so it stands to reason that he is over there alot as well as out working wherever he works now.

He has a huge family to support and needs to make money just to feed everyone. Imagine feeding 8 people 3 meals a day plus all the diapers with newborn on the way!

It doesn't matter where Anna and the kids live, Josh is not allowed to live with them. It's not about where they live it's about Josh not being able to live with them.
They could move somewhere else and still Josh could not live there.

Which is stupid sorta, because he can visit over there all he wants.

Just how I am seeing it.

BBM I thought that, according to the terms of his release, he could not be around his children unless Anna was with them. And that he was not allowed to be in his own home with his children. That’s why he is staying elsewhere.

From your linked article:

"While Duggar will not be permitted to return to his family home, his release conditions include having unlimited contact with his kids as long as his wife, Anna Duggar, is present."

I took this to mean...

that he can be home all he wants as long as Anna is with him. I assume that he can see his kids at his own house. He just can't live there.

I don't see why he can't live at his house just have Jana (for example) live there also. That way Anna or another adult is always there.

I only say this because he can be around his kids all he wants with Anna there. That could be 24 hours straight. Might as well live there.

*** Put it this way....I would be surprised if he is not allowed to see his 6 almost 7 children at their own home. Where else on earth would he see them? Can't see them at any relative's house as they all have children.

No going next door to grandma Michele's and grandpa Jim Bob's.

Ok, gotcha. I just assumed from the article meant Anna had to bring his kids to him. Personally I don’t think he should be in the home at all. JMO

I would really, really hate this burden to fall on Jana. She spent her whole life taking care of her parents' kids. As the oldest child still at home, it would be IMO misery to have her forced to raise another brood. She's innocent in this whole situation and I'd love to see her married and out of the house. Or out on her own, if that's what she wants.
Free Jana!

That was an example. I meant have other adults live at the home so Josh could live there. Doesn't have to be Jana. Could be rotating adults.

I do not know 100% for sure if Josh can see his kids at home but it stands to reason he can.

And if he can see them at home with Anna present why can't he sleep there with Anna present? Especially if the judge had another adult live with them 24/7.

I get why the judge has him basically sleep somewhere else but I find it isn't really
necessary.

You have unlimited access to your kids during the day but can't sleep in the same house at night. Hummm....

  • #378
I think when it says that he may not return to the family home, that means he can't live there, or anywhere they live.

I think Anna has to be physically present, like in the same room, when he is around his kids. Can't do that 24/7 unless he follows her around room to room including the bathroom. Not realistic. I think he can visit with his kids, with Anna there, but like for an hour or two, not all the time.

JMO though.

It's not possible. Anna has to sleep, too. So does any other adult who might live with them. It would mean someone would have to sleep in shifts and that's too much of a burden to impose on anyone. We all know that Josh prowled around while his sisters were asleep when they were young.

Right, wasn't thinking.

When Anna is sleeping she can't watch Josh when he wakes up etc... So sad really for those children.
