Josh Powell's House in WA blows up - Thread #2

He gave away their (the boys) books and transferred money from his bank account to someone elses. Where was this monster getting money??? How did he pass/rent a house? Most people require, oh, a job for starters, money etc. I'm not getting that part of it.

As far as renting, some landlords will take x amount of months paid up front. No questions asked.

I know this is probably hard for the Powell family (with the exception of dear old dad, imo), regardless of what we might think of them. But the last part of the video with Josh's sister Alina's statement angered me. Blaming everyone else for what Josh did, imo. Worse though, she says it's because Josh and his boys were so hated; that's what brought this on. Makes me mad - completely ignorant and untrue, imo. Those boys were never hated by anyone, other than possibily their own father. If she must make a statement, why does she have to make one that implies, to me, that Josh did the unthinkable because he and his sons were victims of others? Josh was hated by some, because he victimized others, including his wife and sons. He was the "hate-filled" one who killed his wife and his own babies. Josh Powell is NOT THE VICTIM, his boys are the victims of Josh's final act.

I wish all Powells would refrain from blaming others and just tell everything they know to investigators instead - but it probably won't happen.

I didn't see Alina's statement at the end, but it's not surprising. They appear to be an entire family of enablers. JMO

Wasn't the house a rental? If it was, I hope the owner gets a judge to put holds on all the family accounts to pay restitution to the home owner and for the wrongful death suit against his estate (if there was any real money - like from media interviews in the past or something.)

Okay - I am trying to avoid the emotional pain of this horror and evil with a logical post and probably failed miserably - but I guess what I really want is just to know I am with like minded individuals.

Judging by the supportive statements of his cousin (on-line) and his sister in the video Doc Fessel posted, I'd guess the Powell family was aiding him financially. Just a guess based on their expressed sentiments that clearly imply that Josh Powell was an unfairly persecuted victim. Shaking my head, again...

IMHO the only victims here are Susan, her 2 boys, and the entire Cox family . . . not to mention all of us who cared more for those little boys than their father.

Powells should just crawl under a rock because I don't think they can "fix" this with their actions or words.

You know what I wish. I wish that judges would at least give a cooling off period for visitation after ruling against a parent who is a poi in a crime.

JP looked as if he was literally coming apart at the seams at last weeks hearing. I just don't understand how the judge couldn't see the decline in his physical appearance. It even became a topic of discussion on the Cox's file for custody thread.(last 3-4 pgs) Then when she ordered the LDT and psychosexual eval and postponed her decision til July, JP's eyes began to dart around and they looked so evil! This is all moo and I don't have links due to my laptop is SLOOOOOOW today but there should be some videos of him on the thread I mentioned. No doubt he was a narcissist (and prolly some other stuff I am not qualified to diagnose) because he made it all about himself in the end. I haven't listenend to the voicemail, I can't stomach it right now. But does anyone know how many times he said 'I' in his short message? TIA

Thank you Foxnews for calling Josh a monster. I can't believe he used a hatchet on his children - don't understand it at all. He didn't just want to blow up without warning... he wanted to terrorize them first? If the social worker had been with them, he would have killed her also.

If MSM calls him a monster, can we within TOS? Cause I really, really want to. YELLS: MONSTER (and other things off line!)

I don't understand why he would want to blow the house up. Obviously he didn't care if the kids suffered, but wasn't he concered about himself? Wasn't he afraid he might die a slow, painful death by being burned alive??

He was obviously a narcissist which leads me to believe he would only be concerned with his own suffering. I would think a gunshot wound to the head would be more in line with an immediate death.

And I hope that the police are investigating every possibility to be absolutely certain j's family and friends were totally clueless about j's plans.

And if they knew, they should be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

It's really too bad that Josh Powell can't be brought back to life and killed all over again, because if anyone deserves that, it's him. I thought I had no words on Sunday night. I couldn't find any all day yesterday. Hearing the news this morning, those are the only ones I can come up with.

Two innocent children who had their mother taken from them by their father, and now have had their own lives taken in such a horrible way. There is no justice great enough for this atrocity. Rest peacefully, Susan, Charlie and Braden. Your lives did count, and the entire country mourns the loss of you greatly.

Interesting thought. Though it was in Josh's best interests to demonstrate independence from the family for custody purposes, I agree that he would never have done this while living in his father's house. IMO, Josh was about as crazy as a fox.

The Powell's are victims as well-I am uncomfortable with people bashing them. Josh's father is a charged perp who has been tied to Susan's disappearance in MSM and by LE, so he is fair game imo.

I dont believe it is fair to lump everyone else in with the two of them.
