[FONT=VERDANA,ARIAL]The State of Michigan issued the Amber Alert Thursday afternoon (02-24) after the girl was reportedly abducted in Grand Rapids sometime late Monday (02-22) or early Tuesday (02-23). The child is considered to be in extreme danger. The suspect did not take a diaper bag or appropriate clothing for the child. The suspect also reportedly stole $2,800 from the girl's mother's purse. The suspect was last seen in the Heartside District around 2 p.m. Tuesday (2-23) but the girl was not with him.
[/FONT][FONT=VERDANA,ARIAL]The State of Michigan canceled the Amber Alert Friday afternoon after the suspect told police that the child died Monday night at her home and that he had disposed of her body in a trash receptacle near her home. Police continue to search for the child's body.
