I was concerned about the competition factor too when rc had his attention focused on Misty. That competition didn't work out too well for Haleigh.[/QUOTE}

Well let's hope that the competition with the other kids and the boyfriend in this family work out better....we just never know do we!

They let is slide before and look what happened. In fact they never checked on ron when they gave him formal custody, despite the fact there was an affidavit stating the children would be in danger if they were to live with rc.

Have their been any affidavits written against Crystal and the children being in imminent danger from her?

If anyone chooses to write them with the knowledge of her severe drug abuse and neglect of JR., maybe this time DCF will listen....but I doubt it.

Just as when rc had custody, DCF must wait till an incarceration or severe bodily injury to act.

I predict JR is in the better home and it will take a long time for him, if ever, to recover from the emotional, if not physically damage he incurred.

I hope for jr sake your right, but i dont think her new boyfriend record is very clean either

I hope they did a homestudy and checked everybody over 18 background.
and gave them a plan to work.

and do some unannounced visits from time to time

jr will need some intense therapy. its not good to yank any kid out of a home overnight and tell them there moving. needs to be done slowly if allowed

This is certainly a stressful situation for Jr. but let's not forget, this isn't a stranger's home that he's going to - it's his mothers. A mother who he has a very active & ongoing relationship with. It's not like he's going off to an unfamilar place with unfamiliar people here... JMHO -

What you call competition, I call family life.

it is still a big change for a 5 year old,

I hope crystal and her boyfriend does well
the boyfriend will have to help financially because I think it might be a little hard to collect from the father facing 25 or more years

that does put a strain on relationships, well it did in my years of foster parenting
boyfriends and girlfriends dont wont to help with money

I hope and pray they both step up to the plate and get jr the help he needs

If we are going to start blaming the parents when a child disappears I guess we better add John Walsh's wife as she was at the department store with Adam....Mark Glaas as he was right there when Polly disappeared...Mark Lunsfords parents as they were right there when Jessica was taken...the Smarts were right there when Elizabeth disappeared and on and on. It is cruel to blame the parents as they carry enough guilt because it happened on their watch in the first place. And to any one on here that has little kids...it could happen to you. These creeps think nothing of walking right into your home and making off with your child with you sleeping in the next room so don't do to much blaming...you could be next. Hopefully not but it happens daily. Besides, not a soul on here knows what happened to Haleigh.

We know there was not signs of a break in don't we?

Nomoresorrow, I would like to say at the onset of this comment that I have the greatest respect for your posts and insight in this case. I find myself agreeing with your position virtually all of the time. However, in the part I have bolded above, I must respectfully disagree.

Sadly, I feel that the information contained in KP’s Bar Complaint defense was likely true. I see two compelling reasons to believe as such.

(1) KP was forced by the Complaint to answer allegations of a lack of diligence by not filing for child support modification and custody. She was compelled to answer truthfully as to why she had not, and could not, file these actions. She gave the reasons to the Bar, they investigated the allegations and her defense, and completely vindicated KP of any violations.

(2) KP was CS’s attorney for only 4 months (mid-March through mid July). A new attorney has represented CS for the past SIX MONTHS and has not filed for support modification or custody either.

Why do you suppose the new attorney hasn’t filed?

In all reality, yesterday’s ruling granting temporary custody to CS was still not as a result of any action filed by CS or her attorney. According to this article it was an Emergency Shelter Hearing which can ONLY be brought in Florida by the DCF.

It sounds like DCF may have actually removed Jr soon after RC’s arrest:

And

I am very glad that Crystal now has Jr no matter how it came about. However, she will still have to file for custody and have a hearing before this temporary measure becomes permanent. I hope and pray that she can and has taken whatever measures in her life are necessary to provide a stable, loving home for her son.

He deserves no less.

BBM
I don't think Annette Sykes or TN had the power to stop the authorities from apprehending Junior and I susect their hearts must have broken when they had to give him up. AS said Junior has lived with them the majority of his life.

Darn shame too....that jr had to spend the majority of his life in such an environment..pitiful.

You are absolutely right Bobbisangel! In each one of those examples that you gave, it could have been any one of us, God Forbid. One thing that in my mind makes a HUGE difference in those cases and this one is the fact that Misty wasn't supposedly sleeping in the next room nor even in the same room..but in the same bed as HaLeigh and if I'm not mistaken at least in one of her stories, one of 'these creeps' would have had to reach over Misty to get to HaLeigh. Really, what are the odds of that happening? I wouldn't imagine very likely at all..just sayin...moo only..

btw~ I never thought any of the others listed above had anything to do with their childs disappearance..

Haleigh Cummings' Mother Gets Temporary Custody Of Son

PALAKTA, Fla. -- Crystal Sheffield has been granted temporary custody of her son Ronald Cummings Jr. after an emergency shelter hearing Thursday. The hearing was held after the arrest of the boy's father Ronald Cummings Sr. on drug charges.

Cummings had custody of his son prior to the emergency hearing. Permanent custody to Crystal Sheffield would have to be determined in another custody hearing.

ITA nomoresorrow and my heart hurts for little Butterbean. I'm sure this is confusing/stressful to him. As you said though, he's going to his mothers home..his other home, a place he is comfortable no doubt. it's not like a whole new environment. And we know what kind of environment he is leaving soo. :furious: Surely no one thinks that's the healthy place to be. I don't anyway, I can't cut GGMS any slack anymore, she had to know what was going on and if that's the case and she let it happen anyway, Jr. dang sure doesn't need to be there. MHOO...

This little guy has been through a year that no adult should ever have to deal with, I can't imagine what it's been like for Butterbean.

BBM.. True and the reason we don't know is because Ron C, Misty, members of his family and perhaps even hers have chosen to LIE and coverup what really did happen.
And as I see it, I highly suspect the coverup was orchestrated in the first place to keep Ron C from going to jail and from fear of losing Jr.
Hope they all realize their plan in the long run didn't work out , and they should have honored Haleigh's life and memory by telling the truth in the beginning rather than covering for Ron...JMO

Concerned papa you stated..
"It sounds like DCF may have actually removed Jr soon after RC’s arrest"

---------------------------------

I was wondering about this the other day.. Player claims he saw Misty and Jr. at the bus stop in his neighborhood around 3:00pm the afternoon of the arrest.

GGMS stated last time she saw Ronald was when he went to work that morning, and didn't know he was in jail until she was notified by the detectives..
So where was Jr. during the arrest?

At no time has anybody I know of ever "assumed" fault based SOLELY upon w whom Haleigh lived at the time she vanished. It does a disservice to parent victims--conscientious, cooperative parents or caregivers whose children truly were targets of random kidnapper and child murderers--when we continue to act as if this is what we're dealing w here. As if even LE were characterizing this as a "stranger abduction." LE may not have been certain initially what did become of Haleigh but they d*mn sure knew what didn't. But yea.. to all those parents on here who are dealing drugs, and further entrust their children to other doped up, strung out, teenaged drug dealers, and who can't keep y'all stories straight.. yep your's could be next so watch out cause these random creeps who stole into your house and stole your child and made your stories make no sense will be gettin folks all around you to lie and talk crazy too lol.

HALEIGH was the victim here--Haleigh; her little brother, who Lord willing was rescued before a similar fate can befall him; and their mother who played no role in any of this. JMO

I remember Ron saying the same thing the morning of February 10. Even before people suggesting there was a lie going on in this case. He was holding Misty tightly and telling everyone not to blame her because it could happen to anybody....

He showed all every day when he drove his recently purchased vehicle around town that only God can judge him.
He sounded worried enough and insisted on making sure not to think he is guilty.

He doth protest too much...

I'm thinking Jr is quite relieved to be with his mom. I remember when they were doing some thing at a park and RC showed up with Jr and Jr ran to his mom and clung to her the whole time he was there.

I can't imagine the trauma of being in the same neighborhood as where his sister disappeared, and living with all the high drama of his dad and all.

It was also his mom who took his dad to court just to get some counseling for him. I'm relieved for Jr. DCF should be ashamed of the decision they made months ago.

There are a lot of drug dealers who are not murderers. There is not a bit of evidence proving who took Haleigh. When the evidence is released by someone of a official capacity like a Pros or LE then we will know who is responsible. Until then it is all assumption from people who are just making ASSUMPTIONS. People who have theorys that are unproven. People who know no more then what all of us have read in the papers or heard from LE.
Many are hopeful that it was Ron and Misty but first there has to be evidence and so far we haven't been informed about any. Hope on.

Dealing Oxys is a horrible crime, it kills people, some slow, some fast. There is a reason why selling a pill bottle full will get you a minimum
sentence of 25 years. They kill people with their posion. They destroy lifes, they destroy families, they destroy kids futures with it and

even kill them with it. They get people addicted to it just to be able to sell them more and at a higher price. There are not many people worse in the eyes of the law and society.

The good part of this story is these two poison sellers will probably die in prison just getting the minimum sentence.
