You know the guy that beat him. The one that had longer cheetah legs. Has he gained popularity at all? Did Oscar lose some of his fans to this guy?
His sprinting days were almost over. He could go on into middle distance, or even long distance ( highly unlikely ).. he would be competing against 19yr olds, and upwards.. he will be 30 by 2016, Brazil. To use the racehorse analogy, he is about ready for the knackers yard.
mod note:
Once court commences, we will be remaining on this current thread since it is still fairly new and there aren't many pages.
Please bump up this post, as necessary, so others can be aware that there will not be a new thread for the day's proceedings.
Thank you!
Jassy... I am embarrassed that people come out with garbage like that.. I cant apologise for that person, but I am appalled at such casual denigration based on nothing but whim and venom.
Samantha Taylor testified that he had woken her up a few times with the same old story of the bathroom noise, the imagined intruder, etc.. it was a default position.. the story flew with Samantha, why not the SAPS being taken in by it?
Yep Zwiebel this one. I have to go out very soon so thanks in advance for my reading later this morning.I think we are using this thread today? I can't see a new one anywhere...
ETA: Lol, I see the answer to my question was just posted above!
But it would be really unusual to revoke an accused's bail in the middle of trial when he's not violating his bail conditions.
Thanks.OP doesn't by legally "have a history of reckless gun use", at least not yet and not until Masipa's judgement is in for those events which are being tried at the same time. And the Masipa will not be able to use them for her judgement on the murder or culpable homicide charges anyway, not even let them influence her and she can't even slip them in either because she has to use logical reasoning for her judgement and write it all in a judgement.
While we're waiting, in terms of his athletics career, would OP have been reaching the end of it? I don't follow athletics so am not sure what the optimum age for a runner is. Now if he were a racehorse, I'd have more of an idea.
The physical peak for most humans, in most sports, is between 25 and 35 years of age; during this peak period, the well-conditioned athlete can create a confluence of muscular strength, peak cardiovascular and oxygen transport, speed and reaction time, and mental capabilities (including the ability to deal with competitive pressures), all bound together by a desire to succeed.

Since nobody else has been identified as screaming, it seems reasonable to conclude that it was the person who was shot four times that night.
✄
I believe Mrs Stipp said that the screaming got louder, as though it was someone coming closer along the street. (Or words to that effect.) But nobody was coming along the street, or the Stipps would have seen them.
✄
I will, though.
Professor Saayman corroborated this when he stated that screaming is an involuntary act, and that Reeva would almost certainly have screamed when shot even in the head.
Apologies for this OT post, but just while it's quiet and for the very few Aussies here, have you been reading about the trial re the Lin family massacre in North Epping that occurred in 2009. One of the worst multiple homicides in NSW history. It was just a couple of doors down the street where my parents lived. My dad bought his daily newspaper from Mr Lin.
