The judge is talking about scheduling a Spencer Hearing.

The state and defense said they will each need two hours in this hearing.

A Spencer Hearing is an opportunity for attorneys to present additional evidence to the judge before a sentence is entered.

The judge will make a final decision on Mark Sievers' sentence at this hearing.

Both sides now scheduling a Spencer hearing. This gives Sievers an opportunity to change penalties from sentencing. This is scheduled for Jan. 9th at 8:30 am @winknews

Per Florida law, the judge can overturn the jury's decision and sentence Sievers to life in prison without parole instead of death.

So very sad for Mark's step sister. To have such a close relationship with a sibling, and then they commit such an atrocious crime. I really cannot imagine .

My goodness. I can’t bring myself to celebrate putting anyone to death, but I pray for these families.
