I think ArtH implying the calls have to do with M's prior behavior that weekend; Ron overslept that morning; M's behavior that weekend (3-day bender) led up to R's calls

Why would LE release the number of calls? Or have they? Seems easy enough to check tho, so what's the point in fabricating it? (re: whoever reported it)
