I am looking for official confirmation that Dr. Baden has ruled Kathleen's death a homicide

I was thinking...
maybe she had just had a bath and was getting out when he
snuck in?

That could explain why her fingers were wrinkled.
He could have put her back in the tub... or she could have fallen back
in during a struggle.
The tub could have been empty by that time?
Now that could be possible and would explain the pruning of the fingers...if the tub still had slight bit of water in it and her hand was down inside the tub. Hmmm...

I just heard on the Shep show on Fox that Dr Baden has finished the autopsy and said that it was murder.

Since Greta is in the area now, I know she will try to have a conversation with Dr Baden tonight about the autopsy.

Thanks Chico!

When did Steve tell the backyard, mean dog, broken window story?

Did those have to do with the altercation that resulted in Kathleens arrest? I think he spoke recently about that although I could have him confused with someone else.

That could be as I haven't seen any of Steve's discussions regarding Kathleen's arrest.

I heard it last night....not sure if it was Dan Abram's or Greta. We were talking about it in chat. Should be a transcript soon, hopefully.

REPEAT OF THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Doctor Baden has told the family that it IS A HOMICIDE.
Happened outside the tub. Possibly injected with a poison.

If Kathleen Savio's death is definitely ruled a murder, how can they prove that Drew did it?

Am I missing some concrete evidence that he killed her? Of course, most of us believe he did without a doubt...but how are they going to prove it to a jury? He'll defend himself saying if it was murder it had to be some random killer who somehow got in the house.
Or would it have to be like Scott Peterson's case, based on circumstantial evidence? I heard a medical examiner say in one interview that even 3 years later they can find small particles imbedded in the body.

So where does poisoning fit into this?

  • #352
If it is poisoning, that will be totally unexpected (on my part)
But if it was poisoning, it means premeditated.

  • #353
And very unexpected on my part as well.

  • #354
The poisoning does seem unusual, but very effective, however it doesn't explain the bruises etc on her body..unless she was physically beaten by him and then he came back and poisoned her. Isn't antifreeze the common poison of choice with murdering spouses these days?

  • #355
Unless he smelled bitter almonds, I don't get how Dr Badin was able to detect possible poisoning.

I hope we will find out in a little while when Dr Baden appears on Greta's show tonight.
All that I have heard so far, is what I posted a bit ago. And, that was said to be what
Dr Baden told the family of Kathleen earlier today.
It will be good to hear from Dr Baden himself.

I'm confused. I thought Steve said that after Drew came to his house asking Steve to accompany him next door because Kathy did not come to the door, Drew charged ahead thru the back gate where there was an angry dog and went in the back door which had a broken window.

So, why did he even need a locksmith? Did he call his brother the locksmith after the body was found, or did he call Paul, then go get Steve and go in the broken back door before Paul got there? Something stinks.

From http://www.nbc5.com/news/14546968/detail.html?dl=mainclick

"Peterson told Carcerano, who was a locksmith and was going to be at the house soon, to open up the house and see what was going on. "I went from the closet to the bathroom," Carcerano said. "It looked like there was a rubber exercise ball or something in the whirlpool. When I looked down, it was Kathy. She was naked -- she was dead -- hair over her face."

Carcerano, who said Peterson was steps behind him when the body was discovered in the home that Savio and Peterson owned, described Peterson's reaction when he saw Savio's body.

"He ran upstairs and upon seeing her, he just broke down and started screaming, 'Oh my God, oh my God! What am I gonna tell my kids?'" Carcerano said"

Bruises could still be explained. Most people are not going to lie still and let their ex husbands inject them with anything. She would have to have been caught and held down to be injected.

I too am anxious to hear what Dr. Baden says. I don't see how he could give a definitive statement about poison this quickly. Usually lab tests confirm poisoning.

Are certain embalming fluids poisonous?
