Not that it even matters, or that PF chose the date because he's a criminal mastermind, but I actually disagree about Thanksgiving being the worst day to do this, because most people would just expect you were spending the day with your fiance. It's a break from normal routines. Most things are closed for business. No work to miss. If you don't show at your daily coffee place or gym, no one is going to think to look for you. Neighbors may assume you are gone visiting family for the holiday. No appointments or meetings to miss or not show and raise any flags. If you didn't return friend or family texts or phone calls, people would likely just assume you are busy celebrating with your fiance and daughter. The only people who could have possible been expecting KB for Thanksgiving dinner was PF's horrible family, and he wasn't acting like they were even a couple.

NO case being made by the defense + that asinine statement that alludes to the authenticity of the letters makes me wonder.

Yes. It’s been asked many times here soLots of people are worried.

I don’t think any of the attorneys are however.

His team was solid. They just didn’t have anything to work with. I saw nothing they did or didn’t do that would rise to the level of ineffective assistance.

Of course sometimes things come out later- like failure to introduce exculpatory evidence.

But if these are CO public defenders I’ve been very impressed with CO public defenders from other counties. I’m assuming state wide they’re pretty good.

Anyhow, lack of evidence or argument doesn’t make counsel ineffective. They worked with what they had which was nothing.

Successful appeals on that basis are super rare because they are super hard to win. Any appeal is for that matter.

I have read conflicting reports that he decided not to talk to them and reports that they didn’t want to talk to him. I’m not sure what is correct.

First of all, I don't believe for one minute that he 'accidentally' called the public defenders office. Every inmate knows the difference between Public Defenders and District Attorneys. It was no mistake.

In my mind, JB hoped to 'sell' those notes to the defense , or trade them for something. If these were private defense attorneys and not public defenders, he may have gotten some kind of deal.

When that was a dead end, he went on and called the prosecution. JMO

The defense argued there is no blood or DNA evidence found on Patrick Frazee. His DNA wasn’t found in Kelseys condo either. There is no video of him leaving her condo with a black tote. Krystal is also never seen on surveillance coming or going from the condo.

Don't pile on me for saying this, but my heart goes out to the defense team of AS & AP. I'm not sure how it all works but I would imagine they are assigned a case and unlucky for them they got the PF case. What I respect in them, is it appears they accepted the old saying "it is what it is" and they never tried to spin a story. They quietly let the trail/case/evidence/witnesses play itself out. As @gitana1 said a while back, they are used to losing. Kudos to them for their service to our justice system and taking a hit on their own reputation. I'll bet they are more than relieved this whole thing is done with (and I also bet they are expecting a guilty verdict and probably agree with it). They are human after all and would not want a PF running free.
