it may appear that way when he leans in to see if Mullins is dead and delivers the last two shots. his hands (with gun in them) is very near to it for those last couple of shots. MOO

Perhaps near to it but certainly no evidence of Stines hand inserted and conclusively removing something out of the backpack, as alleged!

not at all, I blew it up. It never even touches it let alone gets something out of it.

I can't seem to find a version of the video that shows him touching the back pack.
On his way out the door, he reaches for the door knob then turns around one more time and with both hands gripping the gun, he fires again. Then turns around, and walks out the door.

I just watched again . I thought he had reached in the back pack also, but now I clearly see he fires the gun again next to the pack .

I'm reading that Mullins phone on his desk appeared to be receiving an incoming call shortly after Stines set the phone down and started shooting. Some have speculated the call was by Stines daughter, after missing a call from Mullins phone seconds earlier.

I believe the incoming call could have been by Wallace Kincer, Mullins Bailiff. Reportedly, Kincer first believed the shots had come from inside the courtroom and that Mullins could have fired his own gun at the assailant who slipped out the door, unseen. JMO

The bailiff, thinking the shots had come from the courtroom, cleared it of people.

Had a gunman come through the door from the hallway? The door was next to the stairway leading outside. Had Mullins, who was known to carry a gun for self-defense, fired at an assailant who had slipped in unseen?

I never noticed what appeared to be him reaching for the bag before it was mentioned, but after re-watching I can see why it looks like that.

Looked this accident up and it is sort of curious in itself. All I could find was this.
Car wreck is fatal to Stamper, 72 - The Mountain Eagle
It does not identify or state condition of driver of the colliding vehicle. Just a " lifted" Dodge pickup. Further Googles and other search engines only found basic repeats of that report. Weird too, man killed was named Larry Stamper. KSP detective testifying in Stines hearing was named Clayton Stamper. Now, I am curious to learn the name of this "lifted" Dodge pickup.

Geezoo, this is starting to sound like the makings of a murder mystery.

I don't think he cared. He did it in a civic building with half a dozen witnesses in earshot. Then he surrendered almost immediately. Everyone saw them go in together. There was never anyone else who was a suspect.

He had a mission, it was to kill Mullins. Nothing else mattered. Whatever it takes.

IMO Stines never even touches the backpack

That is an absolutely brutal, cold-blooded murder by someone who was chosen to uphold the law. If anyone deserves the death penalty, Stines does in my opinion. How people can support him is beyond me.
