lol my first And only thought.....“Bummer.”

Dang! Kanye West is the most entertaining character on the entire cast. He could easily be his own show.

I bet that this whole Covid thing has changed the way shooting for the show would work, and they just decided it was time.

I think Kayne needs to get back on his medications, POST HASTE! His "reality" is getting a bit out of hand.

Yes, he's really out of control. It's one thing to humiliate yourself on an International stage, but it's truly sad and scary when there are children in the mix. KK needs to make her kids her priority and keep them safe from the delusions of their father. A very sick individual is being exploited, and his children may wind up paying the price. Wonder if he has access to guns?

I find it incredible that you can take the bar exam without doing the course work.
You can study to pass an exam but that does not give you a comprehensive education in the subject.

There are a small number of people most years who study under someone else and take the bar. I think their overall pass rate is slightly lower than average.

I’ve taken (and passed) three states’ exams, if it matters. I’ve never heard of a “baby bar” but I will say that the chance of passing the bar after a failure is low - maybe around 30%.

The bar exam isn’t THAT hard. I’m reasonably intelligent but not super-smart. It’s a lot of memorization/mnemonics. I’ve known a few people who failed - most were smarter than me. IMO, they failed because they aimed for a deep level of understanding in all areas. It’s impossible. If you don’t get, say, the rule against perpetuities, just accept that it is a tiny percent of the exam: plan to circle “C” for those questions and focus your studying on the big areas.

I’d never heard of the “baby” bar exam. It’s specific to CA and typically given to students at unaccredited law schools or those doing independent study. The State Bar of California

Honestly, passing the (real) bar exam is not that hard. It’s about targeted studying and intense memorization, not deep understanding of every subject IMO.

I saw that you passed three bar exams?! That's impressive. After I took my one, I was done.

CA's bar exam has changed since I've taken it. You're right, you cannot go deep into the subject. Know the rules, know how to apply them. The part of the CA bar that was awful for me, is that it wore me out. Three days, 18 hours!!!

And I read an earlier post from 2019 about needing to go to law school to pass the exam. In all honestly, I didn't learn how to pass a bar exam until barbri classes. (I even worked with Chuck, whom KK worked with too!). I would be in barbri classes and say to myself, why did my professors make it so hard, when the concept is so easy?!

What KK is getting that most of us did not, or only through semester internships, is the experience. She will be a bit ahead of the game when she does pass the bar exam.

Kim Kardashian has passed the baby bar exam after two years of attempts, moving her one step closer to becoming a real-deal attorney.

Kim certainly didn't hold back her excitement when she made the announcement Monday, saying, "OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!!"

Kim had previously failed the exam 3 times, but had COVID during one of those attempts, she joked, " ... on the 3rd try w a 104 fever but I’m not making excuses ;)"

That is great! Congrats, Kounsel Kim!

There are many reasons NOT to like KK, but the reasons why you should or could like her, are very convincing. One of those reasons is surely perseverance.

If she failed thrice before, passing now is probably a very big deal. For the actual bar exam, the chance of passing after two fails is minuscule IMO.

I think it's just a big publicity stunt to make herself look good in the public eye once again. <modsnip - no link> I believe that the "lawyer" stunt she's putting on for us is just a big fat lie. Anyways, if she studies enough for the Bar exam, she'll pass, so it's not that big of a deal. But it's super important for a lawyer to pass it well. It's something I look for in each trust attorney I hire, so it's essential. For all it matters, I think that if she's smart enough to become this rich and famous for taking selfies, she's smart enough to pass the exam.

It is not “super important for a lawyer to pass it well.” I don’t remember any of my scores, and I’ve never been asked by anyone - potential client, employer, etc. Trusts barely make an appearance on the exam, to my recollection, and I wouldn’t rely on bar exam scores as an indicator of competency. Trusts isn’t even a required class, though property & contracts are. Passing is basically a matter of memorization, not mastery.

Passing doesn’t make anyone a lawyer - there’s the character/background component as well. Several classmates got follow-up interviews for poor credit scores or high debts. I don’t know anything about her earrings, but if she made a false police report it would probably be investigated by character/fitness committee.
