Ok so can they now explain if she fell, jumped, or pushed off? It’s crazy how this story changed.Search underway for cruise ship passenger who went overboard
-------------------
Snipped from the above article:
"Miguel Chicon, head of Maritime search and rescue in Palma de Mallorca, told NBC News that after checking CCTV cameras on board the ship, the crew determined that the passenger disappeared at around 5 a.m. on Saturday."
JMO Without all the facts it sounds suspicious. Hope they fill in all the holes. The ABC article states that she went to the balcony at 1am to get some fresh air. Apparently she stayed there long enough that her husband fell asleep. Can we assume that she returned to bed? Did she go out again at 5am and fell over?
A search is on in the Mediterranean for a woman who fell off a cruise ship.
I think the passengers might have started a rumor about a teenager when they were told to look for a woman in pink pyjamas (now some sources say nightgown). The cruise line previously only spoke of "adult female", without mentioning nationality.from American teenage girl to American adult female to Korean adult female to Korean elderly female
ok then
RIP
I don't know if it is confirmed but the headline for this case on here still says American teen girl. How can they get this wrong? So is the part about her family saying she is not a strong swimmer true or false I wonder? Is it family or is it husband and wife?
It's likely that the husband reported her missing when he woke up in the morning. According to passenger testimonies there was a PA with an appeal for her at 7am. At 8:30 they turned around the ship. It could have taken them that long to search the ship and review the surveillance footage. The passengers were reportedly told there was evidence that someone went overboard. If my husband woke up and saw me gone from the cabin, he would assume I left for coffee. What led the husband to believe she went overboard? Was the ship searched first?
Thanks I missed the evidence part. Was just odd to me to conclude that a grown woman went overboard just because she was not in cabin when spouse awoke. But maybe he woke at 1:30-2am...I would first think she went for coffee, breakfast, or a walk if he awoke around 5-6am.It's likely that the husband reported her missing when he woke up in the morning. Hmm so nothing about the original release was true. 1)Korean not American 2) 63 not a teen 3) not reported by parents
So strange....
Photos of the ship also show lifeboats attached to the ship under the balconies. These lifeboats appear to protrude out away from the ship, and appear to be present the whole length of the ship on both sides, except for a few gaps. Depending on the location she reportedly fell from, it seems likely that she could have come in contact with a lifeboat before she entered the water. IMO and MOO.
No kidding. Seems to the case in almost every case lately. It is frustrating.IDK, but with each information update, I have even more questions.
