Maybe the thread title should be changed.

I think in light of these convictions that there should be a profile done on the rest of the family members by the FBI. A family history. Even if they are not suspects.

I'm sure that was done right away when the FBI team assembled. Info about the Uncle would come out in he course of questioning them IMO.

I agree I wanna know where the uncle was 2 wks ago....also how far away he lives from Kyron's family????

Didn't I read SM has a facebook? Did she post about the science fair? Does Kristian have Facebook?

I could rattle off the events/activities my nieces and nephews have going on because they and their parents include in their status updates. If his relative use Facebook and post often, it would be very easy for a creep to follow that person(s) online and plan/prepare an abduction.
We are not allowed to talk about SM's facebook, so I can't answer that question directly.

I can use my own experience, however, which is this: I don't personally post in advance about my 'goings on', i.e., I'd post about something like a science fair AFTER the event, not before. My friends tend to be like this as well. If we do post about something BEFORE it happens, we generally post in, well, general terms...i.e., 'working on the science project', not 'working on the science project that will take place at this address at this time that is open to the public', etc. IMO, for anyone who was a facebook friend to KNOW specific details about what was going on at the school that day AND to know that it was going to be a rather chaotic/open environment at the school, they'd have to be really close to the family. The uncle in question MIGHT very well have been that close. But, IMO, if someone weren't that close and merely knew the family routines through facebook postings, I very sincerely doubt that he would have chosen a science fair at an elementary school as his site of choice to do whatever he'd planned..again, IMO.

He was convicted of statutory rape, so no force was involved. Wholly different mindset than a SO who would take a little boy, jmho.

My guess? The FBI CARD team was immediately aware of the uncle's charges from their own database. I don't think that they'd have to wait for the family to tell them about him.

Here is the code law for his charges.

RCW 9A.44.089
Child molestation in the third degree.
(1) A person is guilty of child molestation in the third degree when the person has, or knowingly causes another person under the age of eighteen to have, sexual contact with another who is at least fourteen years old but less than sixteen years old and not married to the perpetrator and the perpetrator is at least forty-eight months older than the victim.

(2) Child molestation in the third degree is a class C felony.

That's what he pleaded guilty to... what were the original charges tho' ?

The FBI knew about this brother BEFORE the hit the ground. They will and can find EVERYTHING out about you before you even know it. I got to see them in work many years ago when I got off work and went to my BF's house and there were 4 agents in his living room. THEY WERE NOT AFTER ME OR HIM OR ANYONE CLOSE TO US - they were chasing the guy next door (the owner's new BF). Those agents told me things about me that even I didn't know lol.

So, yea, the FBI knew about this guy from the get go - he was already in the system. LE probably rounded him up the first night and grilled him.

Are there any other siblings?

I want to know where he was two weeks ago.
I've posted a couple of times wondering if LE were asking for surveillance video from the day before Kyron disappeared to try and bust somebody's alibi. I'm not convinced that is why they asked for it but it is a possibility.

I wonder if Kristian still lived with his wife. If he didn't, it's a lot easier to imagine him making the six hour round trip (it would take at least that long), from his house near Seattle to Portland. Or maybe he stayed overnight.

But...I've seen other cases where a murdered child has had at least an accused sex offender in their family and it wound up having nothing to do with the murder (at least in no quantifiably tangible way).

Hello Pufnstuf,

Good to see you this eve...

You asked... I wrote on page 3, dunno if it got missed we are moving so fast...

.......
Now then... This trial was on the 16th of June? Kyron disappeared on the 4th?

Hmmm... Just thinking... What if Kyron knew something that might have come out in court at some point and make things worse for someone who was already in trouble? Could it be a motive for that someone to arrive for one of Kyron's events and make sure that he could never be a witness against him -- maybe getting him put away for life?

I don't think so, Wrinkles... I just don't think so.

And it's always delightful to see you too.

And yet they haven't changed Kyron's classification after all this time from Missing / Endangered. That says a lot IMO.

If Kyron was supposed to be a witness in this case (although doubtful because of the stipulated facts), they would have postponed the trial when he went missing.

He had a bench trial, meaning there was no jury. The judge heard the facts and decided for himself. The facts were agreed upon by both parties, so, as a matter of law, (not the opinion of a jury) he was found guilty by the judge. This kind of trial will often happen when both prosecuter and defendant agree that a jury is more than likely to find guilt. It will also spare victims from having to testify in front of a jury. The defendant has to agree to a bench trial because he/she has the right to a jury trial.

Actually, he pleaded guilty. "Trial" lasted 30 minutes.

This thread is to discuss the arrest of Kristian Horman. It is believed he might be related to Kyron.

Could this person be involved in Kyron's disappearance?

Please note: we will NOT allow any other family members to be discussed. Stay on topic with Kristian only.

Thank you all for your patience!

Bumpity bump

any posts about the rest of the family and the thread is closed. that's it

This was on page 2 so I'll give everyone a last call. I had over 50 PMs wanting this thread. Please don't blow it for everyone else. Thanks!
