The Vanished Podcast has released part 1 on this case including interviews with Ellie, her boyfriend Zach, her cousin and Zach's parents.
I am pretty convinced her dad is involved in some foul play here. Blaming Angela after the fact by alluding to her being mental is so abhorrent - living in a foreign country and not knowing the language makes anyone crazy, especially if your support system is not stable and you feel betrayed by your family - I almost thought for sure it was self harm until I started hearing Jeff's story change so much. I hope Ellie gets the answers she deserves.
EPISODE 248: Angela Green Part 1 — The Vanished Podcast
I'm listening to part 2 now also - this call with her dad is irritating me. It seems as though his story is changing with each question being asked - like he's trying to remember what he said before, in the event that it's different than what he's telling her now. And how did he know that she went to a mental health facility, but had no idea where?
I feel bad for Ellie - I hope there is resolution soon.
In the vanished podcast, Ellie confronts her dad multiple times about the cremation and urn expenses. Why he would pay $1,500 in cash with no questions asked to a guy who came by his house. Ellie says to him that it’s not like him to do that. That he never has that much cash laying around and always had a bunch of questions if he has to pay something.
I wonder how expensive a mental health institution would cost if Angela really did need to go? It sounds like she needed help.
The most glaring red flag is that apparently he paid the $1,500 cash and did not ask for a receipt. At least, no mention was made in The Vanished podcast of a receipt being given. What would have prevented the service provider from claiming that he never paid for the cremation and urn? How could he prove that he did, since he allegedly paid in cash? But, never mind any of that -- you can't legally cremate a body without a death certificate. After looking high -- and low -- no death certificate was ever issued in any U.S. jurisdiction.
This guy knew exactly what he was doing and, unfortunately, it looks like he's going to get away with it. But hey, this seems to be more and more the norm.
IMO, a receipt doesn’t even matter. It’s a asinine story to begin with and he knows it.
IMO, the red flags are endless.
-she goes to a mental hospital but he doesn’t know which one.
-she dies at the mental hospital but he doesn’t know which one and there’s no record of her death anywhere in the US.
-the dude that shows up at your door (like the old Kirby door-to-door salesmen) to collect cash for your wife’s urn and ashes but hold up, the urn is empty. I’m sure that happens often.
-now she’s alive again and sneaking in and out of the house but he can never catch her.
-she left with a friend, even though it’s reported she didn’t have friends and pretty much always stayed at home.
Screw that guy and his stories.
IMO
Perhaps Prairie Village LE should pass this on to the Attorney General or the Highway Patrol???

I just finished the 2 part Vanished podcast. The father is so full of sh** his eyes are brown. I don't know what the daughter's next step should be, the police seem to be inexperienced at a case like this turning it over to the state is probably best for everyone. A p.i would be a great next step but that is an expensive alternative step. My heart hurts for her though.
I don't recall this from The Vanished Podcast - when the daughter was recording the conversations with her dad that aired on the podcast - had LE executed any of their search warrants on the properties yet? I'm thinking those conversation happened before those events took place. IMO
Sad, seems that the liar's right to tell lies is more important than Angela and Ellie's right to be safe....
Kansas, I'm disappointed....
