Ramzah said through the interviews, detectives learned that on Wednesday, May 4, Miles picked up Jhornee from her mother.
On Saturday, May 7, Miles had a birthday party for another child at a local motel where those who attended the party, including Jhornee, spent the night.
Ramzah said evidence obtained by investigators show Jhornee died sometime after 1 a.m. and prior to 8:50 a.m. on Sunday. Miles then placed the girl's body inside her vehicle.
On Sunday, May 8, Miles removed Jhornee's body from her vehicle around 10 p.m., prior to picking up the child's mother.
On Monday, May 9, information provided by Miles led investigators to a field in the 1900 block of N. Hydraulic where Jhornee's body was located shortly after 2 p.m.
On Tuesday, May 10, an autopsy was performed at the Regional Forensics Science Center. The autopsy didn't reveal any trauma to Jhornee's body that would have caused her death. Police say further testing is being conducted.
Ramzah said investigators met with the Sedgwick County District Attorney's Office and determined that no charges would be filed until all of the testing is complete and the final autopsy report has concluded.
Ramzah said investigators will continue to work with the DA's office and the Forensic Science Center.
Once the investigation is complete, the case will be turned over to the district attorney's office for consideration of criminal charges.
