Police release surveillance photos of missing Wichita man

In the photos, 64-year-old John Wilson is inside the Kwik Shop at 2750 S. Oliver, wearing a green Army field jacket and a brown hat, though the colors in the image appear different.

He was last seen wearing white and blue Nike shoes, and in the photos, he appears to be wearing sunglasses.

He was seen leaving the Kwik Shop at around 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 16 and has not been seen since.

His family has been looking for him every day.

Kimberly Sims, who is leading the search effort, wanted to find Wilson before the winter storm hit this weekend, she said.

Still no Johnny. There have been so many areas searched! It is frustrating to not now what happened to the poor guy.

Here is another picture of John. Yesterday the Wichita Police Department reviewed CCTV at the Meritrust Bank near where John was last seen and he was caught on camera scaling the cement wall behind the building the night he disappeared. How he did it is beyond me! The entire neighborhood in that area has been searched as well as many other wooded areas within at least 2 miles.

Which way did he scale the wall? If he went east, there are homes in that area. Much more of a chance someone may have seen him and given him a ride somewhere else.

Yes, he scaled the wall on the east side. I am praying someone gave him a ride! I am relatively sure he is not back in the neighborhood anywhere because it has been searched many times.

Nothing fruitful today, either. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Nothing again. There was a couple of reported sightings but nothing that panned out. Well, actually we don't know if a sighting at Wal Mart was him because the security was not helpful AT ALL. Hopefully the WPD will be able to view footage.

Keep praying for this family, they are some of the nicest and most dedicated people I have met.

No, it wasn't. We did drive around there though just because we are at a loss and look EVERYWHERE. I sure wish he would turn up soon!
