HAVEN, Kan. (KAKE) - Authorities say they have found the body of a 17-year-old Kansas girl who's been missing for nearly 9 months.

Laura Dorey was last seen the night of June 12 in Haven in Reno County. The sheriff's office says deputies and a coroner's investigator were called to a rural farm property north of Haven after the land owner found human remains.
A pathologist with the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center on Monday identified the remains as those of Laura Dorey.

The cause of her death is still under investigation.

Sorry to say this, but there was a wildland fire out that way yesterday. I wonder if that has anything to do with the discovery.

This is just terrible and sad. I hope they can figure out what happened to her. With all these kids missing I do hope more are found. It is just very heart breaking. I am very sad for this family.
