Hallelujah! Maybe there will be some important things to say. Checked Salina Post and didn't find anything.

Finally got to view the video today. I couldn't get it to do squat last night. Went to Wichita Eagle and put in Lori Heimer murder update and got the video and short story. Said we should have an update Monday. Was also relieved to hear they had investigated over 250 tips. The entire county seems to be involved and doing their part to help with the investigation.

Well, nothing in today's paper. Guess we'll have to wait til tomorrow for the promised update.

I hope LE is looking at phone calls or messages Lori received. Was it ever determined whether any dogs were missing? It would seem to me that whoever did this knew that the husband wouldn't be around, yet somehow knew she would be home. It just doesn't seem random being as it was during the day. Such a senseless act of violence..for what reason? I'm just glad that their children and grandchildren weren't there. Did the perp(s) see the husband working in a field as they drove to the house? Seems pretty brave (or foolish) to not have worried about him coming home at some point. I'm hoping and praying that they are close to an arrest. This family has suffered so much, and I wonder if they are fearful for their own lives- not knowing who or why?

LE reported they have rec'd over 250 tips. From what I understand from reading, people felt there weren't any dogs missing. Another breeder and friend took the dogs to look after them for the family. KBI has also been involved since the weekend Lori was killed. There is supposed to be an update tomorrow. You can check out Friday's video, it skips, but is ok. Check out daughter's posts on Lori. Also one of hers talking about her puppies.

Thanks. The fb site is so sad. You can feel everyone's pain and anger. Let's hope some of those leads leads to an arrest. I wonder if that area is seeing a rise in drug usage which is leading to more crimes? I'll look for the update tomorrow.

Was looking around websleuths and found this thread..
What a horrible horrible tragedy! I can't imagine the fear and grief for this family and community... praying something gives and those responsible come to justice. Its just not a safe world anymore, in her own home! So so sad. Prayers to all of you and the family. :rose: :rose: :rose:

That's what has bothered me so much about Lori's murder, I guess. She was in her own home in middle America FGS! Such beautiful, quaint and peaceful surroundings.....who would ever expect that to happen there? I'm sure the whole region has been rocked by this crime because it's so totally unexpected and unheard of.

After living in SE Kan for over 15 yrs, things like this just don't happen. Then in 2013, we had the murder of a young mother and her three kids. And the creep who did that not only had lived in my town, but had a relationship with a friend of mine for roughly two years. He goes to trial in 7/17. Now this awful, ridiculous, unreal murder of Lori. I really hope we get some encouraging news today.

If KBI asking for help, and that's an update, I'll eat my hat! And there is the article about three being arrested. Plainly states arrested for conspiracy... murder, NOT for murder! At the bottom of that page, under the comments, was something interesting, nonetheless. Hoping somebody will look into that, I cannot!

I don't know if this is related.

ETA: I really don't think it is but I figured I would post as an FYI.
Very interesting because it’s in the same area.
Likely drug-related. This article has more details:
