KS KS - Lori Heimer 57, murdered in her Saline County home, 25 Jun 2016

  • #321
You made some great remarks. From what I understand, the police checked out the PU, and ran the tags, and it hadn't been reported as stolen. I was surprised it has not been impounded.
Saline county jail does have a website listing all persons currently in custody and what their charges are. I don't know if they give any info about court hearings, etc. You might try to see if there are websites for Saline county court, and Saline county district court. I personally haven't been down that avenue myself.
They just ran the darn tags! I
don't think the vehicles used were stolen.

I hope a person is not missing that owns the truck, and foul play could be involved. Its not a bad truck and not sure why anyone would just leave it there, I just thought maybe since its blue could it be the suspect-s truck here is the side view, they have 48 hours to move it. Here is a side view, I mainly would to load this on here, just in case that ost gets deleted and someone picks the truck up. Wanted to see what others thought. I don't think it matches

Missimple- Could you give me the link for this or the specific FB? Salina has many different FBs and I'd just as soon not have to try everyone. I would like to contact this person. Thanks.

I still think Lori's husband needs to be notified about this PU and get his opinion on whether or not this could be the one he saw that day. I imagine it is ingrained in his memory for the rest of his life.

P.S. Yeah, running the tags and not bothering to do any further checking seems rather lame in my book!

Not that I don't trust the husband but... I would like LE to see it first and if they want to show it to him, fine.

I also checked Saline County courts and I was going to have to pay just to search. And I wasn't doing the ads!

Bummer. I hate pay sites. Everybody just trying to suck people's pockets dry! I tried to read an article in the Lufkin (Tex) paper. They wanted 99 cents for one day, or $16.00 monthly! That'll never happen.
I wonder if somebody at the Salina Post has an email address where they could look up the info from a previous issue?

This is the man that did the three stabbings back around the time of Lori's murder.. I'm not sure why he is being charged with murder - as far as I'm aware, none of the three stabbing victims have died.. http://www.salinesheriff.org/InmateResults.aspx?BookingID=-145539&pg=h&ji=-18263

I read there were two stabbing victims, not three. And - Both men were treated at Salina Regional Health Center and released the same day, a hospital spokesman said.
I do wonder who this inmate is charged with murdering, and if there is any connection to Lori’s murder.
Here is my July 8[SUP]th[/SUP] post about this man:

Yes, this is interesting coralynne - - that the Inmate Details listed for John James Brown 7/4/2016 booking show the following in the Charges section:
Murder in the 1st degree; Intentional and premeditated
Agg battery;knowingly cause great body harm
Agg battery;knowingly cause great body harm
A capital murder; Kidnapping

Here is a link to the most recent news article I could find (SALINA JOURNAL) which states that the two stabbing victims were released from the hospital.
Regarding the arrest of John James Brown, the news article lists one of the charges as “attempted first-degree murder“, but the inmate booking page has “Murder in the 1st degree; Intentional and premeditated“ AND “A capital murder; Kidnapping”.
John James Brown is charged with murder. Who is he charged with murdering? Nowhere in the article is Lori Heimer’s name listed.

Stabbing victims and suspect were acquainted
By ERIN MATHEWS Salina Journal
Jul 5, 2016
Two men who were stabbed early Sunday and the man arrested Monday for stabbing them were acquainted, a police department spokesman said. . . .
Both men were treated at Salina Regional Health Center and released the same day, a hospital spokesman said.
. . . an arrest warrant was issued Sunday for John James Brown, 34, for attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery.

I remember reading that, too, but I don't recall having seen it read anything further about him. I remember thinking what??? But it was almost like he went to jail and that was the end of that.
I miss KAKE news channel 22, exclusively available in Kan. With a continuous 24 hr news blips, I always thought that was the best way to get info from around the state.

Thank you. I see that he's been in jail for 49 days. The charges still remain Murder. Very intetesting.
I'd love to know what he was driving.

Besides the two stabbings, this same man attempted to cut off a man's hand with a sword a few nights before the stabbings . I will try to find the link.

Yes, see if you can find that info.
That would be seriously serious if you can find it!

Here is the article - The rumors were though were that a sword was used - not a knife... As far as I'm aware - he still has not told police dept who did it or exactly what happened as he is afraid for his life... He has told others though that it was the same John Brown who cut the other two men.. http://www.ksal.com/man-not-talking-after-being-slashed/

The above article says this unk. man rode his bike to a McDonalds in Salina and stopped police about his slashed hand.
The article is dated July 5th but stated it was reported on July 1st, a Friday. He was taken to the hospital where his hand required stitches. He would not tell police who did it.

Early Sunday July 3, at 3:30 am police were called to the Salina hospital where 2 men had been stabbed.

These men were acquaintances of John James Brown who they say knifed them.

An arrest warrant for JJB went out that day, Sunday July 3, for
att. murder and who was described as armed and dangerous.

JJB was arrested and booked into the Saline County Jail on Monday, July 4th 2016, where he continues to be incarcerated to this day Aug. 23 2016. (50 days)

Now that JJB is in jail, police should (and maybe they have)
contact the man injured on Friday, July 1st and have him identify the suspect.

He has stood out to me since his arrest, and I won't change my mind until they charge somebody else. He seems to have the personality of a rattlesnake.
