I would think if cadaver dogs alerted in the house, LE would of torn that house up looking for evidence etc and been there for days and media would of reported on that.

  • #222
But the cadaver dogs would have been alerting like crazy if there had been a dead body there for that much time, in my opinion...

We don't know that they WEREN'T. They could have been for all we know. Ugh I hate all of this not knowing, even though I know in the long run, it is for the best.

If she put him in there, she may have even forgotten about him and went to sleep after dinner. Any number of horrible things could have happened. :(

That is disgusting. I really hope she didn’t trap him in there.

Thinking about how evil she is makes my skin crawl.

Been reading since the first few threads but have never posted before. Not Sure this is the correct way But.... from the beginning, LE seemed pretty clear that Lucas wasn't abducted and didn't walk out. It was like they were prepping for a body recovery early on.

EG stated that he always takes a nap at 4pm. I think it is highly likely that she could count on him taking a nap late in the afternoon while she did whatever she liked, including smoking. I doubt she had to even restrain him. More likely he was used to making do. Maybe there was an accident while she was gone. She couldn't simply call 911. Police would more easily find out what she had been doing. Smoking, driving, leaving him alone. Not only would she lose parenting rights of her boys, she would start the circle again and lose her daughter as well. Better to make it look like he was missing and hope they never ask about the day before when she decided to treat herself to some good food and in her mind, a well deserved break. In my opinion, OG wasn't an alibi, it was another nail in her coffin and she knew it. When she says she would never hurt her baby boy, that might be true in her weird warped reasoning. But she could try to make the best of a horrible situation and hope to cover up.

JMO but we don’t know that they didn’t.

We haven’t ever heard which dogs alerted to what or where have we? If we did I missed it. All I saw was the article on Blue, and LE stated early on they had used dogs but hadn’t been able to locate him in the house or neighborhood.

Who says they weren’t?

LE NEVER said the dogs never alerted.
We do not have any idea if they alerted or not.

Point taken....:whiteflag:

But I am not convinced the cadaver dogs hit on the home. Wouldn't they have put up some crime scene tape and done a full forensics search, with the trucks and the evidence bags etc etc? We never saw anything like that happening.

We didn't see vehicles taken and computers taken and bedding stripped and taken, etc.

And there were no leaks, like in Baby Lisa Irwin case, and Dylan Redwine case, where we heard that there were cadaver dogs hitting and/or forensics found in the home indicating injuries/struggle.

I just find it odd that we have not seen or heard any thing like that in this case. Maybe they just have successfully locked things down?

I did not realize KS does not have a law that states at a certain age it is ok to leave a child home alone.

Many states do not have laws stating specific ages because it gives them more power to charge for neglect, not less. There are children that over 10 or even older that shouldn't be left alone because of various issues. There might be a disability or may have anger issues etc. If something happens it gives them discretion to investigate to see if it was appropriate to leave them alone.

Exactly my thinking. They would have locked down the crime scene and brought in the forensics team. I don't think that happened. JMO

Thank you and many others here for the honest to goodness caring about this boy. So much so it makes us sick.

If only her mother and the people around her cared as much as some of us here do.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This was said in court today by the ADA and it doesn't look like Glasses attorney was pleased with that statement. I was kinda surprised at what her attorney said because according to the afffidavit she did not ingest the marijuana in front of her daughter, she did it in the garage and then put her in a car and drove to OG. Unless EG told her attorney a little bit of a different story than what she told LE.

Assistant District Attorney Monika Hoyt said Glass also possibly left another child at home.

Glass's attorney, Julia Leth-Perez said "the only issue in this case is the possible ingestion of marijuana in presence of her minor child. That is the only charge before this court. Any issues outside that charge are not before the court this day and they will not be before the court unless they're charged."

This one has the affidavit in it.

This site indicates that Kansas recommends the age of 6 as a minimum:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/apps/g/page/local/latchkey-children-age-restrictions-by-state/1555/

Which is pretty horrifying to me, but then I see that my state not only doesn't have a law, it doesn't have a recommended minimum age, either.

It just floors me to think of a 6 yr old home alone - but I did know of several kids that young that come home from all day kindie or 1st grade that get off the bus and let themselves in and are alone for a couple hours before parents get home from work. Was many years ago when my kids were in grade school and it terrified me then to think about all the things that could happen that a 6 or 7 yr old wouldn't know how to deal with.

The thing that strikes me more than reports of dogs or CSI presence is the fact she wasn’t arrested until 2/21. JMO

wow. that is kind of horrifying. Pretty wishful thinking that a 6 yr old can supervise themselves totally by themselves.

....6 yr olds are 80% of the time, 'rational' and responsible. They can be left alone in the playroom, or their bedroom, for an hour or more, and things will probably be fine.

But every once in awhile, you peek in, and see something truly dangerous and extremely creative, and you need to swoop in and grab the electric clippers and the golden retriever from the child's clutches...and take a deep breath...

Or rescue the baby brother from those electric clippers a little too late to avoid a full buz cut for both...
I can neither confirm nor deny that this exact scenario happened under my watch...

I think they did do a very thorough forensic search of the house and her car. I just think that the media wasn’t there for it. Seriously, from the beginning of this case we have seen almost no media in front of the house. IMO as soon as LE heard her “story” and brought in the tracking dog they knew they were working a homicide. I’m betting they left no stone unturned.

I also don’t think EG fessed up to anything about going to OG. I believe LE figured it out from pings, receipts, etc in their search and confronted her about it. She had to agree it was true at that point because they already knew. I don’t think she’s the type that would give up anything voluntarily.

All JMHO.

That takes me back to my thoughts about her being arrested 2/21.
Forensic testing takes time. Gathering evidence takes time. She wasn’t giving up any info so they had to do it the hard way.

MOD NOTE

Please do not post the name of EG's daughter. If you must refer to her, please say "baby daughter" or "EG's baby" or something. I realize we all know the child's name, but it doesn't need to be dragged into this discussion. She's a little baby now, but one day, she'll be reading all of this on the internet. Let's do our best not to make it worse for her by using her name.
