I completely understand not speculating about the identity and sleuthing those people. I guess I just took it to heart when it was posted that EG was a grown woman fully capable of acting on her own and making her own choices - and further speculation would result in TO's. I understand it was meant to stop suggesting and sleuthing family members, but you put out a theory and before long someone has added their thoughts and before you know it someone that is considered a victim is being sleuthed. Which makes your job harder because you gotta clean up the thread, so best just to avoid that scenario. The important thing at this point is to focus on finding Lucas that is all that really matters.

Unfortunately, speculating that EG had help has always led to implications that are not very subtle about who might have helped her. Also, I do wonder if EG were not a young woman if so many people would assume she had help? If she were a man, would there be so much conjecture that someone helped? I just notice a gender bias in a lot of cases like this one. It's possible EG had help and it's possible she didn't. Personally, I am content with leaving that detective work to LE.

If LE or one of our VIs gives us information that someone helped EG, then we will decide if anyone else can be sleuthed.

I don't think that LE is too concerned with EG tampering with evidence while she is in jail. She couldn't really tell someone on the phone or via email what evidence to destroy. I think they believe someone else could it though. Maybe someone or a few someone's who have a history of enabling EG. I have researched a little on police keeping mum in quite a few cases. There are always different reasons why but in quite a few articles I read, the botched Jon Benet Ramsey case comes up frequently. When details are kept quiet and LE sees or gets a tip that a particular person is talking about something they shouldn't know, then they know better who to talk to. IMO.
We know Lucas was alive on Feb 16 when the Landlord was there. We know EG reported him missing about 24 hours later (more or less). We know EG was arrested on 2/21. There's a lot of gaps in there that could have been filled with conversations LE did not know about. We do not know who she told what to, or when.

I think she killed him by herself. My question if did she have help after the fact? It has been mentioned that the areas searched by TES aren't made public so that nobody can move the body to an already searched area.
Personally, if I had killed someone I don't think I would tell anyone because that would be one too many people knowing.
Agree.
IF she had an accomplice then they could move the remains.
I'm listening to Tim Miller about it being like the Caylee case. With her body being missed in so many searches. Mainly in parks. And then there she was right up the street. But if EG had a helper (unlike CA) then she may or may not know where the spot is.
Just thinking out loud:thinking: and frustrated like everyone else and I never knew Lucas.:moo:

Here's my thing about that. In my experience, a narcissist such as EG avoids relationship crossover. That way, the lies she tells person A do not get relayed to person B, who was probably told a completely different set of lies. The main goal is to not get caught. Ever. Relationships are severed before that can happen. It's very possible EG has some sort of trusted ally that pretty much everyone in her known life is unaware of. Keeping her groups of people separate from one another. I have no doubt that if she sought help with hiding Lucas, she did so with someone unknown to her family.

It's also possible she acted alone. We would need to know if she's the type that blabs every little thing to different people depending on the topic, or if she is a real dark secret keeper.

This is (probably) unnecessarily long. I apologize. I am not gushing, I am seriously thanking. Please acknowledge our own efforts and our mods' unrelenting commitment by liking this post, even if you don't agree with my message. Thanks in advance.

This is a pretty respectable place. WS is quickly becoming regarded as the go-to place when you need help. LE comes here, families come here, PIs come here, Media comes here, 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 come here, the bad guys come here, and the people who want to help come here. WS crosses many genres, not just the missing. We have so many forums for so many different types of issues. Trials, Missing, Unidentified, Crime in the News, particular cases, etc etc etc.

And here we all are, in here posting our thoughts an ideas about how to find Lucas before we run out of time. We just post and post and post. Puzzle solvers. Working with limited clues and figuring out how to solve a crime. Aren't we amazing? And with an active thread such as this one, there's bound to be some boundaries crossed, mistakes made, feathers ruffled, and information shared that shouldn't be, etc. Think about this. In the last one month, this case alone has now accumulated 12,400+ posts. Just this one case.

Well I want you all to appreciate something. Yesterday it was a lot more than 12,400. Yesterday we taxed the living daylights out of the mods. I am not sure if it was just LilTexans or if the poor dear had some help.... but I think it was just her. She was tasked with cleaning up the thread for us, and modded some number of posts in the range of 700-1000 probably, that we flagged to fix. All in one day. For just this case. It was an evil task that maybe could have been avoided if we had known better. And the best part is it was done with a smile, not one single complaint. I went to bed past midnight last night, flagging the last remnants of the mistake, and I know everything I flagged was taken care of by the time I closed my eyes. I feel really bad for making a person work like that, and I appreciate the passion and commitment to keeping this place solid and on the up and up and a place LE can come to and know they are getting legit help.

At the time of this posting, there are over 30 brains posting in this thread, and another 25 lurking. It's absolutely incredible to consider all of those different mindsets coming together and hashing out ideas that very often turn into clues. Searches are planned based on your banter and clues. Searches are happening on the daily, and we are really getting into the nitty gritty far corners now. We have to keep pushing, coming up with ideas, and looking. We have to get property owners to go out to their culverts and look for unexpected activity. We have to ask around to see if anyone saw headlights in a place they usually aren't, at a time they usually aren't, acting in a way they usually aren't on the evening of Feb 16. We have to get the every-day-person to start looking in corners as they walk by wherever they happen to be. Everyone. Everywhere. Lucas is somewhere. We can not give up. We can't allow a child killer to have access to other children. We must find Lucas, and we can't do it alone.

So, thank you mods and especially LilTexans for your thankless commitment to WS. And to all of our posters here in WS.... I am so proud to be among you. You guys come up with the most incredible thoughts. It's just mind-blowing. :loveyou:

Hi margarita, I don't know if you have caught up on the posts from yesterday regarding search locations, but we will not be posting which areas have been searched in the open thread anymore, unless the locations have been publicly revealed by LE or MSM.

I believe Henry2326 and others are still privately keeping search maps and records of all areas searched, but that information will not be posted here.

(Hi liltexans,

My apologies, thanks so much for explaining. I am quite behind here. )

Lucas was added to prayer list at our church and today his name was read and that he be found, after service standing around talking, I was shocked by the number of people who assumed he had been found because stepmom was arrested for his murder. They don't follow the case of course, just glimpse on the news he was missing, and then his stepmom arrested. Makes me wonder how many have stopped looking.

Good points. I think she's just like Casey Anthony and will never tell or admit to anything. To this day, Casey denies harming Caylee.

What is interesting to me is that in the beginning they released they were searching Chisolm Park. After that most of the search areas were hidden from us. Was that just when TES got involved? Maybe that's common procedure for them.....just in case.

Thanks, GigTu. It was just me, but I couldn't have done it without your help and Henry's help. :)

Wow I’m just catching up and I’m so sorry PB for your accident and immediately praying for you! I agree there are some excellent minds working numerous angles for our darling Lucas. We MUST MUST MUST find this child!

Why do you think EG decided to send JH that picture of those 2 people? I keep wondering about that. She claims to have invited them in and then sent the picture of them leaving telling JH she's alone there as if she had reason to be afraid. I've wondered if those people had anything to do (in her mind) with drug dealing.
The story makes no sense to me and yet apparently she did send him the pic and text.
Was she expecting someone and as it turned out it wasn't those two people? If she was expecting someone were they strangers to her?
Did JH tell her someone was coming over and then when these strangers seemed to respond oddly to her she took their pic, sending it to JH, telling him she's alone, indicating she's in a vulnerable position?
Does this situation even have anything to do with Lucas's situation at all? Is EG trying to suggest JH sends strangers to the house? Is she somehow trying to throw JH under the bus?

It’s supposed to start raining here shortly and continue overnight into the morning. I hope that the rain somehow aids and not complicates search efforts.

I've been watching it develop. We need it so desperately. I'm a storm spotter & the consensus is we'll even get excited about fog.

GigTu- what is the reason we are focusing on areas further away from the immediate area of the house? Because of the vast timeline? Thank you!

In my mind's eye, she is the type of person who eats in secret, tries to keep a low profile, doesn't want to be seen. I don't think she would put him anywhere that a home or building or person or even a place where people typically go was in her line of sight. I feel like she went somewhere hidden from view. Not right off a main road, but probably off a side road.

So, the back side of someone's farm land. Or behind an accessible by car treeline. Etc. Away from society. Secret.

You should, however, search where you want. Follow your gut. I'm just guessing like everyone else.

Hey everyone, let's not speculate on WS members' genders, okay? If they want to reveal that, that's totally fine. But we need to allow everyone their anonymity, to include their gender.

I agree with your line of thinking on this. You have to understand the workings of a mind like EG seemingly exhibits to fully grasp what she might be capable of. It's like a game for her in a way. Now she's not enjoying the results she is currently "suffering" in, but I'm sure she will garner her share of sympathizers. I will leave that thought alone.
You know what they say about anyone staring too long into the abyss...

This. Just this. All of this.

Honestly, do I know you all? No. Do I even know your true names? Well, some. But for the most part, no. Do we all live in KS? No. But, do I love you all? YES! I love you all for being here, even if you just come here to check... just checking means you care. Lucas is loved.

And liltexans!!! THANK YOU! We appreciate you more than we could ever say. I'm sorry that we (I mean me!) are such pains in the butt sometimes, your work does not go unnoticed. I admire you for what you do.

Anyway, gushing over. Love you guys, love this thread.

LETS FIND LUCAS! :)

Way to "witness"!!! I concur. :)

I wonder if they kept track of each other's locations regularly. That thought comes more into play with the messages about smoking then going to eat. Like, don't be surprised when you see me in this part of town.

I don't think the picture means much. I bet she didn't even mention it/them to LE. It wasn't important to her. I think when LE is checking JH messages they see it then and ask about it. Why did you take this? Why send it to JH? You didn't think strangers loitering a few days prior to when he went missing would be relevant information, but the pull-up we know was light blue? Oh, now you DO think they were actually acting suspiciously offended when you were actually just being nice, oh, ok....(end pretend interrogation)

Now that people have pointed out that a HS, alternative no less, would be within walking distance, it is less weird to me that they would possibly loiter and smoke a cigarette out in front of a stranger's home. Maybe this pair of kids did this every morning and it was messing with EG's beauty sleep in her new house, all alone. No respect. Hoodlams. On their way to school. Smh.

I've been curious what her idea of "actually pretty early in the morning" is too.

Only speculating about the black man and white woman as kids on their way to HS.

I also think it could be drug selling/buying related. But if it is, I don't think it has a darned thing to do with Lucas, other than Meth making her more energetic & paranoid, or being out of her drug of choice making her rage.
