Quick update: the FB page for Lucas will be published as soon as the name change is approved. The name we originally chose was too close to several FB groups.

An email account has been setup for anyone who may need assistance checking their property. It’s [email protected].

FLA and AnaPisces are admins on the FB page.

An updated flyer will also be posted on the new page.

We’re encouraging everyone to use the hashtag #TeamLucas.

(O/T - I’m having some complications from my accident and will be going for testing/lab work this afternoon. I will check in as soon as possible and catch up on missed posts).

Glad to see you back Paddleboarder and I hope you are doing well after your incident.

I was wondering, since the last known sighting of Lucas was 5:30 pm on 2/16/18 (ref https://www.websleuths.com/forums/s...-Feb-2018-13-*Arrest*&p=13997737#post13997737) should the flier be updated to mention any suspicious activity after that time?

I'd like to add my thoughts on this.

Lucas is not a rough and tumble kind of kid. When he plays with his older sister and things start getting rough, he doesn't like it.

I also wouldn't exactly describe him as shy. When Lucas met my other nephews for the first time he was the one to jump in and start playing with them. I've never observed him as being a wallflower or standing off to the side while other kids play. He always gets right in there and has fun even when he's with new friends.

Maybe it's just a difference in environments. But the neighbors report of how Luke just stood there with his hands in his pockets breaks my heart. Was he so "sick" that he couldn't play? Was he so scared of Emily that he wasn't comfortable?

These are the questions that eat away at me. He wasn't quiet and shy over here. Why was he when he was there?

Thanks for sharing some of Lucas with us. I love hearing about him aside from the tragic things we have been hearing and imaging played out in his life. I can tell from the pictures that are posted on the FB page he was a very sweet, happy boy. I think the pics that are without EG or when he wasn’t in her presence clearly show the love and happiness he did have in his life - wish EG would have never ever had the chance to put her toxic ways into Lucas’s life.

Some people answered this already but they were technically wrong.

NO vaccinations are required in Kansas. You can sign a release form saying you do not vaccinate for personal and/or religious beliefs.

I have an allergy and don’t have any vaccinations. My parents were never given any grief about it. Due to concerns about this allergy being genetic, my son was on a VERY delayed schedule. He started attending a public school with next to zero vaccinations. All I had to do was sign a form... no doctor’s note or anything.

Are you in wichita? I ask because I am and
I’ve had ‘warnings’ because I forgot to turn in my oldest kid’s booster record in middle, that they would be excluded after a certain date until they ‘caught up’... also my youngest because they lost his shot record somehow I had to provide a duplicate or he would be excluded from school...

Wait - he has an older sister?

I thought I just missed something. I thought it was strange EG seemed to have said he has sisters and brothers (both plural) that miss him, too, but thought maybe it was irrelevant.

I’m not sure what my parents signed as it was over 20 years ago.

I can promise you that the Goddard school district did NOT require a doctors note when my son was enrolled there 5 years ago. They haven’t asked for any documentation after the first form either.

Goddard may not. Wichita USD 259- where Lucas attended - DOES.

Good to know! Phonejockey has a great point about the big front window- if Lucas was in the front window, which I would assume is the window he was seen at- it would be in fairly good view to notice a big bear on the front of his shirt. I wonder too what his facial expression was- scared, nervous, maybe he was happy to be looking out the window knowing EG would be gone for a bit he could have some peace in his life... poor Lucas!

He/she could also verify if he was just in a pull up/underwear, right? It would be evident if he didn't have any clothes on like a T-shirt or sweatshirt.

I live in Wichita, yes. My son goes to Goddard. I went to Maize. After the initial form being signed in kindergarten (didn’t attend pre-k) we were never asked again about vaccination records for either district. It was more a “if you ever get anything just bring the record in” type of thing.

Honestly, my son is vaccinated now and I have never provided records... just never thought of it since they haven’t asked again.

Wichita checks it at enrollment. And with 5 kids, attending 5 elementarys, 2 pre-ks, 2 middle, and 1 high school in the district over the past 20 years I have had the school nurses check it every year. It gets tedious ahaha -
Sorry I know it’s completely off topic. My mind is a little blown [emoji23]
Ok. Now to focus back on track!

I don't want to make you feel bad, but I think that was part of her abuse. I don't think he was allowed to play with them while her sons were around. I think she withheld fun and food and other things as a form of the abuse. I say that with zero knowledge or proof, but after the OG it really made sense to me that she would do that.

Do you know the recent discovery of the 13 kids who were restrained and abused? Those parents actually bought yummy food and put it out in front of them to see, but would not let them have any. It rotted and had to be thrown away, right in front of their eyes. They were really tortured. I think EG was also this type of cruel individual.

Hang in there FLA and we're not giving up on Lucas:heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:

Yes. For her privacy I won't be sharing any info about her at all, though.

Completely understandable. It was the first time I'd heard it, so I was surprised! Poor thing must be devastated by this.

Same - my daughter actually had to leave school one day because she hadn't had a booster shot she needed. And it took me a couple days to get her in, so she missed about 3 days over a vaccination!

That happened to me with my son when we moved here. He did have the booster, but because it was done four days after it was supposed to be done (not my fault, doctor's office scheduled that appointment) I had to have him tested to see if the booster took, and when it didn't we had to do it again. Ticked me off, but I did manage to get it done in time before he had to go back to school.

I disagree. But maybe that's because my heart and mind want to. I dont think she taunted him with unobtainable food/treats nor tormented him by making him stand to the side. That day the neighbor met them, he commented that her two older boys were playing around and fighting with broken rake handles. I think there is no way Lucas wanted to get in the middle of that. , it's up to him to keep himself safe. They told him he had to be careful. I tend to think she really just let the kids do what they liked. She was lazy. She didn't take Lucas to OG because it was more work and would dip into her gift certificate. More likely than not, he was used to managing on his own while she did what she wanted. Remember, how she fell asleep and didnt pick up Lucas from school in December which ended in an altercation between her and bio mom? She did as she pleased, she does a song and dance when she's caught doing something wrong and if that doesn't work then she starts swinging (as seen with her volatile relationship with JH). She's probably lived her whole life making excuses about any and every neglectful, mean, illegal, irrational decision. Her continual pattern of bad behavior was bound to catch up with her. Unfortunately for Lucas.

I'm in the Kansas City metro area, and the 2 different school districts my kids have been in will not even let you begin enrollment without their vaccination records, no ifs ands or buts. They will turn you away until you have everything ready to go. It seems a lot more lax on the KS side.

My feeling for that situation with neighbor kids is that LH was fearful of getting into trouble. Maybe EG had already lashed out at him that morning and told him to be good and be quiet or else.

Im in Johnson County KS and they are extremely tough, if you don't have the required immunizations, personal health assessment then it is a no go for your child to enter school, and as the years go on when boosters and such are required you get 14 days to comply and then your kid is out of school until you provide proof of the booster.
