I just had a horrible thought. There are meat plants I believe down in Wichita? My dh used to travel down there to inspect and I am not sure what kind of plants they are. Could their trash containers be accessible? I know there won't be meat in them but there could be other smelly stuff there.

Eta: dh isn't home right now to ask

You are reading my mind!
I followed her case because it’s so close to home.
That’s also why I was questioning big commercial dumpsters!

I definitely worry about the commercial dumpsters. The guys have been trying to pay as careful attention as possible but with the way the commercial dumpsters get picked up, it’s almost impossible to see what’s getting dumped. They have dumped homeless people before because it’s hard to see, and hear, when those trucks are going.

Iirc, our amazing searchers here thought a local teen hangout was an unlikely spot and it is the wrong general direction. Maybe even toll road cameras or other cameras. Of course that is the thought of hiding a body there. Going there on a moonless night to hang out and freak out the kids? I sure hope not.

I don't know if you might be referring to an earlier post of mine? I said that I thought maybe a place where she'd hung out alone as a child/teen as opposed to a place where lots of kids hung out (or still do).

I have no idea if I'm right or wrong, but I kind of think that if you associate the place with people hanging out there, are you going to think it's a good hiding place? Is it going to feel private enough in your mind?

If there's a place close to a group hang out that maybe no one ever went to because "don't go there, it's haunted" then maybe that sort of place would feel okay once one's an adult and got over those fears?

I did wonder earlier if EG had dropped Lucas off somewhere and left him alone as punishment. She might have even gone back later and thought "Oh no, I can't find him!" And that might have been consistent with LE not focusing on the house, or more accurately the media not covering LE focus on the house. But I don't think her taking him somewhere as punishment is really consistent with her coming home to a child she's left alone...6pm must be getting close to bedtime for a child of Lucas' age, and I think the lack of media attention on LE forensics etc on the house might be misleading...they might have been asked to move the cameras, and responsible media will do as they are told, they don't want to be up on charges of interference with an ongoing investigation, they know they're walking a fine line when they report on these things and they want to keep a good relationship/rapport with LE so that they might get info thrown their way in future.

Her bond has a condition of no contact with JH or MH or LH
So I don’t think he’s been able to talk to her

They can communicate by phone and email.

Her other kids are under court orders already that is why. Her ex had filed to temporarily halt visitation so the judge in her new case won’t issue a new order to overwrite an existing one.

Did you read anywhere about the no contact with jh, mh, lh,? I only have heard mention of leaving mh's case up to another judge. What was the outcome of no contact with jh?
ETA:dismiss question. Paddleboarder answered it above. Thanks for everything PB you guys are doing a great job.

There’s Cargill and idk what others.
I’ve also wondered about the recycling/scrap and other industrial spots on 21st- on a warm day (not even hot) it stinks of rotten pickles up there

That’s if she were to bond out. The media report for it is on the media thread. But other than that, the safety plan for the kids is not public record, I’m just going off my memory and experience. As long as EG has parental rights, family reunification is always the goal. It can take years to dissolve parental rights by the state.

What day is trash picked up at EG’s house? Is there a Saturday pickup?

Wish we could find that out [emoji52]

I don't think EG would feel comfortable putting Lucas in a regular trashcan. If she did the trash thing, I'm almost certain it would be in a big dumpster because he is less likely to be seen when dumped.

Makes me nauseated just typing that.

So if they can email each other_ that means she has internet access? Paddleboarder? Does she have her phone back too?

Here locally when we have "extra" trash we can call a local waste removal company and they will come out and take the stuff that our city trash services dont. I would imagine LE would know if EG had done this, but I wonder if that's an option?

It's been my fear from early days that she dumped him in the trash and he's now in a landfill. I even messaged Wichita PD and asked them to consider it

Since the city doesn’t run our trash, what customers do is leave the extra bags and the drivers will mark their route sheets for the customer to be billed. We do have Neighborhood cleanups but those are in the spring and summer.

I’ve rented a dumpster when cleaning out the garage or doing remodeling in my house- I’ve called for other pickup possibilities but have always been told to take it to the transfer station myself. And there’s a special hazmat drop off location that’s separate. I’m not aware of any large bulky items pickup separate from regular trash pickup or dumpster rental.

I have an extra (smaller) cart that I use I bought from Walmart. I set it out next to my service cart. They empty the big cart then they toss the little cart contents in the big cart and empty it again.
With my service I get up to 10 extra bags free. Beyond that they add a extra service fee. But in 20 years I’ve never had them charge for the extra.
