Yes thanks to you and every other who is searching and especially for Hoping I Can Help:tyou:.
Mad Respect:heartluv:

I wish I could search, but I am not local. :sigh: I have covered a lot of ground online, however. And while it's super frustrating to hear that people think he has been found, or that WPD isn't looking for him anymore, etc., I intend to use that information as renewed motivation.

I believe that she has already formulated her next story to explain the condition of his body when/if he is found.

An old study: https://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/ojjdp/187239.pdf

Maltreatment Homicides
Child maltreatment homicides are committed by persons charged with the care of a child, including parents and other family members, babysitters, and friends who have taken responsibility for the child. In1997, FBI data showed that 27 percent of all child victims of homicide (more than500 children) were killed by a parent, stepparent, or other adult family member. Other data reported by child protection authorities showed 1,196 child maltreatment fatalities in 1997 (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Children’sBureau, 1999). This difference reflects the fact that many studies that report data on child maltreatment fatalities (e.g.,Ewigman, Kivlahan, and Land 1993; U.S.Advisory Board on Child Abuse and Ne-glect, 1995) include deaths other than those officially recorded as homicides, particularly deaths caused by neglect or negligence. (Deaths caused by neglect generally include situations in which a child dies because parents or caretakers failed to provide food or obviously needed medical attention. Deaths caused by negligence, by contrast, involve parents or caretakers who fail to provide basic supervision or precaution and a child who dies in a clearly preventable accident, such as falling after being left unattended at an open window.) Approximately 42 percent of deaths counted by child protection authorities as child maltreatment fatalities are classified as resulting from neglect or negligence, 54 percent as resulting from abuse, and 5 percent as resulting from abuse and neglect (Wiese and Daro, 1995).

Just because she has a lawyer for the child endangerment charge does not mean she’s not being interviewed about Lucas’ disappearance. That’s the beauty in not arresting her for that because she’s being “interviewed” and not “questioned”. She will not have the option of not talking to social workers tho if she wants contact with her children. The fact is we don’t know what is being done behind the scenes, this investigation isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. It takes 6 weeks to go to court on a speeding ticket, so this is a waiting game, EG isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. She’s young, used to instant gratification and obviously has some self control issues. There is a method to the madness here, and dragging this out investigation wise is exactly the way to go. Control is what is at play here, and the second EG feels like she has lost all that is when she will talk, unless we find Lucas first, and we are searching hard. I’ve lived in Wichita 30 years and I’ve seen areas I didn’t know existed looking for Lucas.

Me and my avatar aren't local either but we are spreading Lucas' flyer and info everywhere we possibly can. Many places. Our hearts are in the right place and that is really what counts.:heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:

ETA chihuahuas are pretty active and once they get stuck on a sweetie like Lucas there's no stopping them

For sure. Starting with a blue pull-up.

I agree but it won't fly. LE will catch her in her own web and she will know it. I can't wait!
(obviously I'm pretty impatient and ticked off at this point)
I do think EG wishes it never happened. I don't think she factored in being thrown in jail on a high bond for a misdemeanor. Heck! I don't think she factored in they would ever find out about her driving high with the baby! Oops!

Yes ma'am, I think this is spot on.

I think you are right on track, too. Though, I picture a man gaining her trust more easily, possibly.

I think this is a great idea

Trying to think outside of the box. If she was doing meth or heroin, went into a rage, hurt Lucas to the point she killed him, hid his body - is there a possibility that she does not remember where she put him due to the drugs? I have a cousin that is a recovering meth addict and it completely changed him when he was actively using. He did the strangest things and the paranoia was intense. We had no idea what he was capable of doing day to day. Meth grabbed onto him and took control. He came from an amazing mother, loving family, good dad and husband, top sales producer world wide for his company, the All American Boy. Was under stress at work and home life which led to him taking Adderal to accomplish more and more. When that got to be too expensive his dealer in San Francisco suggested he try something else which unfortunately was meth.

With that said - I am not comparing my cousin to EG because they aren’t even in the same category. Not even close. However, it does make me think about the fact that we didn’t know what he would do while using. It altered him in a way unimaginable. Thankfully he has quite a bit of time under his belt that he has been clean and sober.

Please don’t think that I am making excuses as to why she would have done this because what I truly believe has happened is not ok in any way. I’m just trying to think of this from a different angle. No one should ever be hurt or treated the way Lucas has been. There is no excuse for this behavior regardless of drugs, being a narcissist, wanting to get back at JH or any other reason. It’s disgusting and unforgivable. One day whoever did this will have to answer for it. Makes me physically ill and I don’t understand how people can do such things. Ugh.

Locals, are the billboards still featuring Lucas? If so, maybe someone can talk to them about making it clear Lucas has not been found.

Maybe the news can also do this AND ask locals to check their properties, telling them HOW to check, what to look for and who to call if they see anything unusual.

Also, what about headlights? Has anyone anywhere ever asked people to try to remember if there was unusual headlight activity that Friday night after Valentine's Day?

Why did NG handle BOTH of these concepts? So obvious.

I think it's very possible LG doesn't remember (if she did know) where she placed Lucas.

I hope you all don't mind. I was reviewing my timeline of the events in EGs life. I added and corrected a bit. I think it is notable that she has two instances of hitting/pushing JH in the face/head.

February 2016, police were called to an apartment Hernandez was sharing at the time with Glass during an argument over a bar tab that Hernandez had paid, the report shows. Hernandez said Glass hit him in the face, but told officers he did not want to press charges because he didn't want her to go to jail, according to the report.

November 2016 altercation with JH visible injuries:. Later that year, on Nov. 8, 2016, police went to the apartment on South Webb after a report of a loud disturbance. An officer wrote in a report that he saw injuries on the side of Hernandez’s face where Hernandez said that Glass had slapped him. She admitted to pushing him.

Police noted that a child’s table, possibly a Ninja Turtle table, had been knocked over.

O/T but related as it shows experience with WPD EMCU

On a warm May day, going about my regularly scheduled activities I received a phone call. I don’t get many phone calls, and since it wasn’t a school number or a family member I sent it to voicemail. When I listened to the voicemail, my stomach completely sank. I listened to the message three times. It was a detective with WPD EMCU asking me to return his call ASAP. I even googled the name and number to see if it was a prank. This was my worst nightmare come to life. See, my son has severe autism and he is completely nonverbal. I’m freaking out in my mind, he’s wandered away from school and they lost him! (Mind you, what I have described just now took less time than it took me to write it, but it felt like a millennium).
I called the detective back. He tells me he is calling about my son. I’m glad I’m sitting or I might’ve fallen, my knees are weak, my hands are shaking, my voice breaks as I ask is he ok. The detective tells me something that makes me so happy I could sing- my son is fine! I am so relieved but now I am confused- why is he calling?
He tells me he is investigating a report made by a staff member at the school, on another staff member. That said person may have mistreated my son. That they saw the person twist his arm inappropriately and other things. He asks me has my son mentioned anything about anyone mistreating him? I started crying again- my second worst nightmare come to life. I told him as much - my son couldn’t tell me even if he wanted to. I am hyper vigilant with my son, I check him for marks and bruises daily, watch for changes in behavior because that is how he ‘talks’ to me.
The detective didn’t have the extent of his disabilities in his report, he said. The person who reported it to them, may not have that knowledge of my son and he wanted to speak with me before they approached the school. He told me he knew it was a hard thing to hear and we chatted for a bit. I remember him being so nice and comforting. I asked him to keep me appraised of developments as he was able.
When I got off the phone, I was a wreck. I called my husband, my family members, my friends, and I consulted an attorney friend of mine. He told me to just keep on the detective and make sure it didn’t get swept under the rug or forgotten.
I called to check in about once a month. No new updates to report each time but he was glad to hear from me.
Then, almost six months later to the day, I got a call. The person had been charged with 22 counts of abuse! And wouldn’t ever be allowed to work in the school system or with children again! I wasn’t provided their name though.
Shortly after this, they had an EMCU Q&A night at the school - there were several high profile cases in the news about the same time in the same district also. EMCU came to the school and answered many questions about their investigations, how thorough they are, what tools they use, how the testing especially takes awhile... they were amazing to hear.
I’ve told this to help provide some perspective. My son was well, he wasn’t missing, not a visible mark on him. The investigation took almost 6 months, and they had solid proof for every charge. Sure it was annoying and frustrating to hear ‘no new updates’ for almost six months. But the peace of mind I got, knowing someone is watching out for my son when I can’t, was worth the wait.
I pray every day that Lucas’ family can have that same sense of closure and the department doing their very best job for Lucas.

I’m totally with you on areas I didn’t know existed!! Also, I’m saddened by the amount of trash and random items in our creeks. It saddens me to think a person would just discard a child like a piece of trash. It is just Inconceivable.
