Yes that’s the case number listed
It’s her attorney asking for discovery of all the evidence they have related to the charge

I know we have to wait until tomorrow, I just wonder if LE will put any cards on the table about evidence. Curious minds thinking out loud! jmo

no. They are legally bound to turn over some. IF the judge orders it. The motion is simply asking the judge to order it. The DA may be able to argue this for a while, but it’s obvious EG lawyer trying to get her out. Interesting to see how this plays out.

Judge could decide tomorrow, continue it, or take it under consideration. Imo

They have to turn over everything directly related to the endangerment charge
This is why the DA pulled the charge regarding Lucas

There was a couple tailed by the police on a child they killed’s birthday that they followed and caught visiting the child’s grave. Most of the time, kids are found and parents confess, the guilt and the pressure get to them. The not knowing if today is the day the body is found leaves them paranoid, and the cases where two people are involved are solved much quicker. I know my opinion isn’t a popular one, but I do base it on experience and education, I believe EG does love Lucas, and that’s a good thing. I also believe if we were to look in her own history, I’d bet we’d find history of violence and physical abuse.....if she were raised in a manner in which it was considered normal to physically discipline kids to the point bruises are left, then it might be instinct to her. And could explain why seeing bruises on Lucas didn’t raise red flags in her family. I don’t think she hated Lucas, he “legitimized” her-made her look like a “good mother” so hiding him when he’s bruised would be very important to her image. And it’s why I think he would be left behind during an outing or kept home from school. Kids are the most vulnerable when they are young and not spending time in school or around mandated reporters. Home schooling has a whole website devoted to abused kids who were considered homeschooled just to hide the abuse. It saddens me that Lucas hasn’t gotten to the point of being in school long enough to get real intervention. It’s hard to make a case for child abuse unless a child is observed over long periods of time with consistent injuries that aren’t able to be explained away. Bruises that are in places like knees, shins, bony parts of arms, even the temples and chins are normal places kids will hurt themselves while playing....there is little fat between the bone and skin, it’s places where impacts will happen first, etc. Bruises that go all the way around a limb, or have odd shapes over large areas for instance, are not typical. Bruises on meatier parts of the body aren’t normal if they are showing up constantly, and seeing bruises on babies who are not sick are almost always signs to be concerned-babies just don’t bruise easily if they are being properly cared for.....premobile stages of course.

I digress, that happens, I think the lack of information or control for EG will be huge. I think it would be her first move outside of jail to come on the internet trying to see where people have searched, and where they haven’t. I don’t think she would go so far as to visit him just because she will be highly monitored, and she would know that. However if she were to think searchers are close, I’d expect her to all of a sudden have some kind of “memory” or detail to come out hoping to throw searchers off. She’s smart, but LE is smarter......l do think given enough time, she might confess once she realizes it better for her to do so than not. No body cases are difficult to prove however ones involving kids are actually easier because kids can’t take care of themselves the way adults can. Especially ones as young as 5. The chances of EG getting a reduced sentence will depend on her telling her “story”, otherwise she leaves that in the hands of a jury and that’s unpredictable. I don’t think EG will be able to afford the type of attorney Casey Anthony had plus there were signs of abuse, whereas with Caylee, there were not.

I respectfully disagree that EG loves Lucas. IMO she is a narcissistic sociopath. It is not love to hit, kick, throw water etc..I don’t care if she was abused as a child. My mother grew up in an abusive home, and she did not treat me this way. It may be her instinct to abuse, but she’s knows it’s wrong. And if she can’t control the impulse to abuse..then LOVE would cause her to get help to break that cycle. It was not loving to leave a sick 5 yr old at home alone in a new house and new neighborhood. She loves herself. Period.

I think this is more likely the what will happen tomorrow. I don't think LE will disclose much of anything if they really feel EG is at fault for disappearing Lucas permanently.

What was EG's reason for reporting him 'missing' the day that she did? Did he have visitation with his biomom soon? We're her boys going to be coming to her house in a day or two? Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I feel like there has to be some reason she ran outside and asking neighbors to call 911 at the time that she did.

My opinion is that she waited for the drug (s) to wear off. Wouldn't be good to call 911 while still showing evidence of your activities (or the time it takes to air the place out from said activities).

We need to be careful. I don't think that everything you compiled here are "facts". In reading along, I understand them to be assumptions, or suppositions, or opinions. jmo
IMO I don’t think anything Chi said here was stated as fact. Words like “likely”, “not necessarily”, and “probably” all points to opinion.

They have to - by law- turn over everything related to the child endangerment charge
That is all they have to turn over.

Agreed. It's not our WS readers that I'm concerned with that might take an assumption an repost it as "truth" elsewhere.

Point taken as they are doing so anyway. Nothing we can do to stop it. Almost all the time there are more guests reading than members. Everything we post here is going to be out in the public anyway. What I posted is what I gathered from what our VI's have stated are their informed opinions. And I trust them.:moo:

I'm hoping that extra people being out over the Easter weekend might help someone come across something. People doing hunting, nature watching, fishing, clearing up around their property...and as the spring comes on more people will be doing those things at weekends.

I would add to this that farmers should begin planting corn in the next couple of weeks.

But it's not about Lucas tomorrow. It's about her daughter and the endangerment charge.

I wish things were very black and white, but they aren’t. I’m basing all this off my own opinion of course too, but also based on my back ground in child protection and my masters in social work. What EG May define as love could be very different than what you or I define it as. I’ve worked with families where abuse occurs, and if you can feel hate, you can feel love too. It’s difficult to understand someone who abuses a child but that doesn’t mean they didn’t care for and even love that child. Please understand I’m not for one moment saying there is any excuse for hurting a child to a point you take their life, but the key to stopping any child abuse related deaths is dependent on understanding that parents/care givers can, and do, often love their kids. To simply write it all off as hate is too short sided and will continue to stymie any opportunities to learn from these situations. But my opinions are my own and I have not sat down with EG of course. I do think, as a mom, it would give me some peace thinking my child was at least loved somewhat by the person who took their life. It certainly doesn’t mean that person deserves any less punishment tho.

What discovery is the presentation of any evidence they may have that they want to be part of the record. The judge will rule whether it’s admissible and then make sure both sides have copies of whatever evidence it is. Anything regarding the CINC case won’t go thru the civil court but will be handled in juvenile/family court and won’t be public record. Chances are, if it’s only a discovery hearing, EG won’t even appear. And this is on the endangerment charge, you can tell because of the case number. CINC is a designation indicating CPS supervision.

I understand the love/hate dynamic in families of abuse, but I don't think it would comfort me at all to think that the person that took my child's life even somewhat loved them at that point. I know it happens. I just wouldn't take comfort in it.:moo:
