I just received an email directly from Klein Investigations. They have no been retained for Lucas's case, will never work for Jonathan, and will never work for the defense. If they ever are actually retained, they will work solely for Lucas.

Would they work for the prosecution?

Philip Klein, president of Klein Investigations and Consulting, on Tuesday confirmed that his hiring is dependent on $25,000 being raised to pay him. That amount is necessary to cover transportation and lodging costs for a team of investigators, Klein said. He said he would cover separate investigative costs. His business is in Nederland, in southeast Texas.

Klein said he got a call last Wednesday from a friend of Lucas’ family. If the money is raised and he is hired, he said, “I made it very clear: I am not coming for any family member. I’m coming in to look for Lucas.”

[...]

Wichita police did not immediately comment Tuesday on the plan to hire a private investigator. More than 100 officers and FBI agents have investigated the child's disappearance.

Klein said he has been featured on the TV show "Dateline" and that Lucas’ case has drawn national and international attention. He has spent about 15 hours looking into the case so far, he said.

What could his team bring to an investigation that Wichita police and the FBI have not?

“That’s a great question,” Klein responded. He said he could assemble a team of specialists with search and interview skills who would bring “a new, fresh set of eyes,” who could uncover something possibly missed by police detectives.

If he gets hired, he said, “I represent little Lucas. I’m going to go find that boy if we can.”

I'm thinking this "friend" did set up the 🤬🤬🤬 on JH's behalf. Might not have done it by the rules tho.

For those that did not follow the Deorr Jr. case, the same PI was used in that case. IMO the PI did a great job and they tried their best even though the boy has not yet been found. Summary article below.

In this case for Lucas if there is an honest effort to hire the PI to help find the boy wherever that maybe, then they should make sure the funding is controlled independently by a bank or something. There are ways to do it properly to give donors a comfort level that funds would either be used for the PI or returned if not used. .

"A private investigative firm hired by the family has now handed over their findings in the case to authorities. Klein Investigations and Consulting was hired late last year and reportedly conducted more than 80 interviews and spent 500 man-hours on its investigation."

Have had to take a break from here for quite awhile, and come back to find EG is pregnant?!?!!!

A paternity test seems like a good idea. How soon can they test for paternity? Could lead to important clues if there's another man she's been intimate with.

Do we know how far along she is?

The 🤬🤬🤬 was set up on JH's behalf. Problem is, all money donated is going to the "friends" bank account and the "friend" will be the one writing the check. Allegedly

I think a bank would be better than a 🤬🤬🤬 account. I just hope something breaks before this all takes place. EG goes back to court on the 16th. I doubt if she would say anything now though as she probably feels JH is in her corner. jmo

I'm worried about all the kids' health that are involved in any way shape form or fashion with EG.
I believe the baby is in state custody.
:moo:
I think she means the unborn child.

FLA didn't seem to feel comfortable with whomever set up this acct. I'm wondering if they aren't trustworthy. Is there suspicion that they might not give the money to the PI, use it for themselves, use it to pay a bond? I sure hope it goes to the PI (and I think it will because the PI has spoken about it) to find Lucas.

Yes, you're right. I don't feel comfortable with the person/people that have access to the money. That's my only issue.

I do believe Klein was contacted. I do believe Jonathan also wants them hired. I don't believe this specific person/group of people have any business handling this money (or any money related to Lucas).

I might get censored for this, but there were issues at one point with reward money being missing and a relative of this person was involved and this person vehemently defending them. These people do not have finding Lucas as their motive, imo.
