Going off of the assumption that she had help I would think that she wouldn't have lifted anything heavy. But maybe if someone were to help her throw away boxes and bags of trash in a dumpster and she got nervous and went back and moved whatever box or bag Lucas was in, she could have very easily banged her hands up in the dumpster. I went dumpster diving with my dad when I was a kid. There was a walmart a couple of blocks from our house and they threw away good stuff! But I would always exit the dumpster with scraped knuckles and knees and bruises on my shins.

Or, Lucas could have been buried in a shallow grave with the help of another person. Again, Emily could have gotten scared and went back and moved Lucas. She could have gotten her hands scraped up by rocks and debris in the dirt.

She could have put Lucas in a very small space. I was looking at culvert sizes and some of them are very small. If she was trying to push him in as far as he would go she would have scraped her hands on the outside if it was a very small enclosed space. I hope the searchers are able to shine flashlights down into those culverts, at least as far as human hands can push something in. But Emily is also a small statured person. She very well could probably fit a portion of her body in a tight space. It would be beneficial to know if she had scratches anywhere else on her body. They would have noted this at the jail when she had to strip naked and do the squat and cough.

She could also have gotten the scratches from vigorous cleaning. Maybe Jonathan did ask her where she got the scratches from. If she did, I wish we could know what her explanation was. Maybe she told a half truth to Jonathan and he didn't even realize it. The only other thing I can think of is that the scratches happened after the fact because she wasn't arrested until 4 days after Lucas's disappearance and I think her first appearance was a couple of days later which makes me think it is also possible that those injuries happened while in jail. So many possibilities.

Where are you Lucas? You have so many people thinking about you. ❤

Just bouncing of this
It could be both. Let’s be hypothetical and say you try to lift something of rough concrete palms up, knuckles then would scrape along the surface as you manoeuvred your hands to the right spot for lifting. Then into some type of brush area causing the scratches. The spread of redness has my mind towards concrete but the shallow scratch sounds like trees or branches etc.
Couldn't both have been present?

I know some folks are eschewing AFTM's post about her doing this while he was alive, but let's be honest, this woman has no soul, no spirit, no conscious. She left him all alone that Friday night to go out to eat! She lost custody of her older kids! She has had violent episodes with JH in front of the children!

Why oh why does AFTM's thoughts on this matter not bare more discussion? Yes, it is sick and morbid of anyone to do such a thing, but where there is no evidence that we have heard of in terms of body fluids being found in the home or vehicle, just how in God's name do folks think she did this?

I personally think she was pissed off at Lucas for either letting the landlord see him through the curtain or it could be the poor child tried to make himself his own dinner and she came home to a little mess in the kitchen. She got angry, but was smart enough not to do what she did in the home or car. She obviously took him somewhere that night or early morning Saturday before he went missing! People think this woman is stupid- I beg to differ with you all. Know why? Because we are ALL HERE, 10 damn weeks later, and no one has found the poor boy! She had to obviously think this through- if she did this alone, she had a damn good idea where to do it, and where to bury or dispose of his body. If she had help, and I believe she did in some respect- she has managed to even keep them silent somehow, from her jail cell!

She has JH buffaloed, or he's scared crapless because she might know something about him he doesn't want getting out about himself. He also has his own abuse allegations he will have to deal with for laying a hand on one of her children.

This woman is evil, pure, plain, and simple. There have been murderers who have killed their victims practically right where they've buried them or tossed them into rivers, oceans, lakes.

Sorry GigTu that’s what I was trying to say. I see the way it’s worded makes it sound not that way.

Yes Gigtu, please see this post, basically indicates there are instances where multiples scratches can be sustained/have multiple and differential origins / sources / but can be isolated/ gah tech diffs...screen is rolling...post 725 paragraph 2..

Or what if he were so ill, she took him to a valued friend to see what his prognosis might be - or after another “accident “ he may have had.
Just thinking..........

This has jumped at me. I had thought of this earlier on and discarded the idea, but reading this thought again has my mind really working. Perhaps she intended to go somewhere for help and it became to late on the way.

Squat and cough. I have never heard of this. I'm horrified and humiliated just reading it. But I digress... you mentioned the bruises. New bruises are very red. Then they go purple, then blue, then black. How long before the area starts fading and turning yellow?

Thinking out loud (like Wildcat Runner ), cement blocks...bricks....

Did her garden/flowerbed/ yard have any?

Going back to read now!

Another thing, that I am not sure if Paddleboarder or FindLucasAllen can or cannot confirm to us- back when Lucas first disappeared, it appeared that LE didn't bring her vehicle for forensic testing. I also remember that in the news, they mentioned something about the house wasn't searched or any items taken out for testing. Was this done and we just weren't aware of it? I know it was said that she was staying in the home with JH and the baby until her arrest. I have wondered why the cops didn't tear their home apart, looking for evidence of foul play or items possibly used to harm or dispose of Lucas. It's been ten weeks, and this has been baffling me all this time.

Bruising and scratches on the top of her hands looks like the palms of her hands were facing up when her hands hit the ground.
I think she used something heavy to cover Lucas's body.

Yes I am a little woman in her 50s and I have always been able to lift them.
The part of your post about the rain is what made me ask about rain in the first place.
Wasn't there just ice in the following days after Lucas was reported missing?
As in things like ponds froze?

O/T kind of---Not my herb garden but what I wish for Lucas :)
cache.php

(Garden...flowerbed...(talking to myself)...

Pleeeaase mods don't kill me for this off topic post but it has to do with these gnome things....a very interesting case here involved these gnomes...a woman was abducted in a vehicle, somehow it was released LE was looking for some kind of "blue statue" she may have passed along the way iirc, one brilliant poster here was able to come up with the idea of those dwarf things and members searched here via satellite photo search/cross check/streetview and isolaTed identified a location...sorry if I don't have all these details exactly right, but this is what I think of every time I see those guys...)

Very often here I've seen shallow pieces of wood, particle board (not heavy though, just sayin......)

The squat and cough is one of the most humiliating things you ever have to go through. And anyone who makes it past book in has to do it. Also, women have to lift up each breast while men have to lift up their, er, stuff. No matter the charge.

I like this post. Hope it's bookmarked/noted by anyone important...I would think with all the resources in that area those would be checked, but good to note just in case imo.

Does anyone think she got rid of Lucas the night before( in the dark) she reported him missing?
I wonder if she drove over the state line?

LE probably checked cameras near and far to pick up an image of her car.

  • #757
(More on the concrete, what about (encased in) poured concrete...thinking out loud, that wouldn't be abrasive til it dried though....)

  • #758
Just wanted to say big hugs to all that were out this weekend looking for Lucas.

Did she ever explain where the bruises came from?
Im sure LE asked.
Her answer was probably stupid and will be used against her at a later date.

I keep thinking about the garage for some reason moo (not that he is there, obviously, but maybe something to do with materials, etc...I wonder what tools she immediately had available at her disposal (literally, sigh).)

Also, I think I posted upstream that I hope cameras at home improvement type stores, walmart, etc have been checked, I've seen this help solve cases before. Moo.
