I'm still puzzled about the anonymity, too. Is there something in someone's background they don't want found out? Not anything released, even their faces??

No, North Carolina Head Start is for 3 to 5 year olds. PreK children, can be in a Head Start classroom or an exclusive Pre K program. Early Head Start is birth through 3.
Sorry, implied this was across the board. Don’t know other states. Sorry to come across so ‘all knowing’.

My thoughts....some people want to help little man but they don't want to be involved in the drama that appears to circle these situations.

I'm still there, but getting frustrated at the overall hatred.

That's true. But I don't really see people carrying a body across Woodlawn. If they killed him and wanted to bury him somewhere just driving out to the middle of the country and burying him would be the much safer play than doing it at the Nature Center.

That area is desolate after midnight most nights. It’s also pretty dark towards the south end of the parking lot. I don’t even know if the street lights around there work?? The only business open in the area is Casey’s and that’s on the other side of 96. If you wanted to carry something across the road quickly you definitely could.

I had to banish myself from all FB on the first night.

I guess I’m just spitballing... trying to figure out how someone would get into this park after dark.

I think crossing Woodlawn or maybe even 29th is more realistic than pulling over on 96.

You guys rock explaining the issue with divers. I forgot some states have weather....where I live it's sunny and 70 all year round (ugh).
Thanks!

I am wondering if the ponds at those parks are frozen over or not? Maybe a local can answer. I am about 5 hours north (so pretty far away) but everything is frozen here even with a few warmer days mixed in...I saw people ice fishing on the lake here a few days ago.

ETA - I finally caught up on the thread and see this was discussed the last few pages. Disregard. :)

What's the deal with his teeth? 5 seems young for teeth falling out.

As we mentioned earlier.. probably not. If they are frozen the ice will be very thin. It was in the 70s just a couple of days ago. Today is really the first day it has dropped below freezing and it didn’t get too cold. Only down to 20ish degrees. Not cold enough for a thick layer to form in such a short amount of time.

Unfortionately, very common with some kids in this social demographic. A lot of my children are all medal mouth, except for front teeth.

I bailed on them. The hatred and unfounded accusations were appalling. Not to mention the drama.

I'm not sure how old the younger sibling is, but perhaps she said they were at the park?

Also not unusual for cleft lip/palate people. Enamel is often low and dental issues abound.

I definitely think it varies per state/district. I think early on, his pre-k teacher commented about him being in her class and it was a pre-k class in a local elementary school.

He has a cleft palate so it is possible that contributed to teeth problems.

I don't know about the ponds by the Nature Center or Chisohlm Lake, but I do know the pond in our edition as well as another one close by have not frozen over; it just hasn't been cold enough.

Watching KWCH and the reporter said dad had returned home within the last hour and said he did not have anything to say. :(

Wow, can’t even thank you for this post.
I was totally shocked. Fortunately the guy she came with marched her out the door and broke up with her on the spot. I hate to think she might have gone on to be somebody's mother or stepmother.
