The air freshner, could it have been directed towards Lucas-hurting him? I'm not saying I would ever hurt a child but one thing that would get me angry is seeing another child hurt my child. I would also yell at that childs mother if she tried to intervene.. I'm not say e.g. sons are mean, horrible or anything as it could of been an honest mistake. I just see my children in this scenario. For example if my child were doing this I would yell at the person supervising, my child and "he did it first" so I would make it a point to hollar at both children. Would it have been to push the child of Lucas? -This is all 100% speculation.

I did take note that Lucas mom, never seemed to admit that JH abused her child, it was always e.g. The distant and body language I was picking up from their interview together was IMO the fact that he was still on e.g. side at that moment.

Could JH of said that after that fight as soon as he's back their done?

All of this is just IMO

Please know that this isn't directed at you, but I have seen folks question the timing of the possibly theft of the doctor's RX pad and such.

I believe that that was when it was noted it was missing- Jan 11. At that time, they might not have known who stole it until after Lucas was missing. Perhaps they used it at a later date to excuse his absences from school and perhaps she got caught when a note was written with the doctor's name and letterhead on top..

This theory makes good sense to me.

Can anyone speculate on whether there would be any reason prosecutors would want KE's case heard before EG's? Or vice versa? Say if KE was found guilty of theft of doctor's pad and used it to excuse LH's absences, would that be something EG's prosecutors would wait for to include in their case?

imo These are a second generation of people who have no filters or boundaries and resort to violence to varying degrees. Some rapid some more slowly.

Imo it’s not genetic but learned behavior.

EG, imo, was perhaps taught violence. She habitually resorted to vindictive behavior when and just after fighting with JH. HER pre arrest court judge ordered her to parenting class as a result.

IMVSO LUCAS became her final victim during a rage after a fight with JH or as retribution for JH “smacking” her 6 yo. She may have planned it or it might have been a case of her just losing control and going to far.

Im impressed LE put it together so fast, fund a good reason to arrest her protecting anyone she could reach out to and hurt. I’ve not seen that happen so quickly very often.

Bring me up to speed. I thought I read somewhere it was forged financial documents.

If it was prescription pads pads then I don’t think it’s related unless there was a note re; LUCAS written on them. I do recall that there are other interesting records out there. As I’ve said before, these individuals live a very different lifestyle than most or all of us here. I’m trying not to offend.

Imo they are quick to anger and no borders or filters. Someone close to EG knows what happened to LUCAS.

It might go better if they negotiate a deal and turn themselves in. It is going to go much harder if law enforcement knock on their door. LE has a pretty good idea what happened and after speaking with friends and family have an even better idea which loyal friend, devoted relative or dealer probably helped her. And they have time to play it out and wait until EG has been tried and serves a sentence for the child endangerment charges. IT AINT GOING AWAY!!

Yes if my simple mind can understand it, you're good lol.

No, they would have to do it all then for that specific incident. But if she stole another letter or pad for example on a different day then that can be charged again. However, the DA will usually chose which charges they will have the best chance of winning in court and not charge the other ones. There is a thing called malicious prosecution, which is kinda subjective, but if time has passed and another incident comes to light, they can charge them again.

I do wonder why EG's other son was spraying so much air freshener...perhaps they were sick of the smell? An MJ smell maybe? A meth smell? (btw-- does meth even smell?)

Exactly. The only thing the family members did was follow the laws . Which really sucks.

Especially since so many literally sacrificed their relationship with Lucas (and the whole family) trying to help. They reported it knowing JH and EG would cut them out of their lives. It's just devastating.

Agree. KANSAS DCF IS THE SINGLE CONSTANT FAIL IN SEVERAL CHILDREN IN THE STATE WHO HAVE BEEN INJURED OR MURDERED AT THE HANDS OF PARENTS.

JH is charged with battery to EG 6 yo child for “smacking and pushing” him.

Imo EG went after LUCAS in retribution.

Its how they lived. It’s how they fought. It’s clearly been the case
Since the judge ordered her to parenting classes. Which she failed to attend.

This was NOT her first inappropriate outburst. Imo no one recognized the terrible danger any of those children were exposed to in that home. By the time a judge sees these cases it’s repetative and long term. DCF should have removed those kids after investigation before the original accusations were made months ago.

I am holding back on judging JH for this incident as I do think it sounds like the boy might have been misbehaving and JH could have reacted in anger to push the boy away from another child in the room that was maybe getting covered in the spray, having trouble breathing or got the spray in their eyes. In that situation I would be annoyed.

From the description of the charge it sounds like JH may have raised his voice/shouted and also maybe sworn at the child. If the incident was something like the spray affecting another child, then I would shout too, though I would avoid the swear words, and especially not direct swear words or derogatory comments to a child (I would say that's stupid behavior rather than tell the child they are stupid, for example).

I also think there's a story here of a man who's concerned about that home (with EG and JH) not being a suitable/safe place for his children, he's seen his child with a bruise, asked carefully how the child got the bruise, and he's chosen to prioritize his children's safety and report this to the police.

I sincerely hope that JH did not observe EG treating Lucas badly and giving Lucas those bruises. I hope she did those things behind JH's back and when he was out of town. I hope JH didn't treat Lucas the same way. If JH had a habit of treating the boys this way I'd be surprised that their father wouldn't have complained about it? The relatives who reported abuse in NM only said they suspected EG of abusing Lucas. In the write-up complaints it was said that Lucas was saying EG was mean to him, mistreating him, nothing was said about JH. When Lucas told his relatives those things I would be very surprised if they hadn't asked Lucas if his dad had been doing similar things to him. I would also think they might have asked Lucas, "where was your daddy when this happened?" to find out if JH was in the house, in the same room, or if he was out of town at the time?
