RSBM - I missed these couple things obviously speed reading. But why did this poor little man think his dad was going to jail. Was it something he saw or was someone threatening him with that. So sad. My heart just breaks with each little piece we hear.
And the polygraph thing. I don’t really know much about these as we don’t use here in Aus that I am aware. Is choosing your own questions something usually done ? I can see how this makes sense as much as i think it sounds strange also.

I've been following these types of cases forever, it seems, and I've never heard of LE or FBI allowing someone to cherry pick their own questions. Polygraphs are only as good as the questions asked.
I can see where a Defense attorney who has their client take a poly using the Defense's own tailored questions and their own hired polygrapher could easily get their client to "pass" a poly.
Hard to believe that LE would allow someone to pick questions. JMO

Kansas works about the same way. My office was literally across the hall from Child Support Enforcement (in SRS’s old building) and I learned something very interesting.......if you apply for any public assistance and it’s granted, going after your ex for non payment will become more of a priority for the state. That forces the issue since whatever money you receive would be reimbursed thru collecting from him. Even if it’s a small amount, it’s amazing how much quicker the process goes when it’s the state that’s out the money and not just a private citizen, go figure.

Ah, yes. That applies in Missouri as well, but only if you apply for cash benefits (tanf). They don't force it for food stamps or medicaid, strangely enough (or at least they didn't when I had to get my children on those programs years ago, it could habe changed since).

You missed one. I won’t even utter it because I do not want anyone to think I have an opinion about it being a possibility. But if you think a little harder what is another despicable crime one would commit against a child...please do not anyone misinterpret that as I am implying anything about JH. I am not, but it is a huge threat one could use for blackmail.
I didn't miss it, I just didn't want to go there but sadly yes that would be one of tyke grievously harmed situations in my mind [emoji17]

I think it was more along the lines of LE presented them with a list of questions, and they approved which ones they wanted to answer.... not that they each wrote their own questions. I could be wrong, that was just the gist I got from it.

ESO said:
It’s possible, since the bench trial is on schedule for Monday but my guess is he will wait to rule. It really could go either way. If the decision is delayed, you can bet Monday’s hearing will be continued. They are gonna drag this out as long as possible.

Trial already??

From what I understand Monday 5/14 was the date set to begin jury selection. They may do a continuance awaiting the judge to issue his ruling.

Why would they need jury selection if what ESO so it's a "bench" trial. I thought a bench trial was trial by Judge - ??

So - sorry, but I skimed over the last 100 posts - so - do we know for sure there will be trial on Monday the 14th? Or just a continuance, since the Judge won't rule on the suppress motion until that Friday 5/18.

TIA!

Boy - you guys move quick....

I'm listening to this interview with Jamie and something just dawned on me you guys. Jamie keeps saying about how Kristen and Emily are trying to pin this all on her. I always was one that said maybe they should search closer to where Jamie lives. But this just hit me... What if they are trying to throw LE off and he's actually closer to the home than we think and they said this about Jamie to make them search further away?

Sorry I didn’t want to go there either but once that evil has touched your life it’s never the last thing that comes to mind, it’s always the first. And it creates suspicion in every situation in ones life.

One thing I noticed during Jessica Heeringa's trial yesterday is how many of the suspect's coworkers were interviewed (and conversations presented).

I wonder if JH has any buddies on the rig with whom who shares things? I do realize his alibi has checked out.

Grr. This is why I don’t use full site! That was supposed to be a response to my last comment. Sorry for the randomness.

Never mind. Back to mobile site for me. Disregard my ineptness please everyone.

I totally understand and I'm the same way. It happens too often to not consider.

In Kansas, they do go after the other parent for child support if the parent with the children is receiving food assistance.

I wonder if neighborhood /street cameras have also been collected/analyzed near KE?

I'm just thinking (thanks for asking) about how she supposedly didn't have any friends, and who might help her, and why someone would cover for her, etc...and thinking about the recent forgery, identity theft, etc. charges...could be unrelated...if it's blackmail material it likely has to do with money (or sex, but here I'd go with money)..whatever they were into might have had to do with this drugs, money, fraud...maybe it involved 3 people, idk...

Another thought, maybe she was turning tricks for drugs, who knows...

According to JO this random garbage bag chick shows up one day out of the blue to move in with JH, who made 'pretty good money' and yet never seems to have enough now... It certainly sets the scene for further interrogation of extant circumstances.
She isn't elaborating on this after offering a character reference of JH as a 'good father', and EG as an isolated persona whose actions & ways 'made no sense' which JO is only now coming to understand the context & history of.

The pathways of EG projecting & 'DARVO' manipulating her victims into complete chaos for control, with no ultimate end goals appears self evident... sure I'm not supposed to sleuth anyone else so suffice it to say her 'community' was fraught with folks seeking escape from reality- why would EG openly identify with a weak minded* woowoo crew to 'back up' her image as competent guardian?

Family circuits notice this... EG was exceptionally involved in her vendetta against something less real than perceived- All energy was invested into this idea.

(* at any time I mention 'weak' minds it's in relation to easily manipulated-not meant as a character assassination)

So, if EG had help from someone, that person's occupation needs to be considered as far as resources and awareness space, moo.

General question regarding child support - does the state collect child support if there is an income withholding ordered and then the state pays the other party? If the person does not have a job are they required to pay the other party or do they have to pay the state directly some how?

Child support collection in Kansas really sucks. LOL. But yes, if the person has a job then they will normally have a garnishment and then they will send payment via pay card to the recipient. If the person does not have a job they are supposed to go to monthly court hearings to show cause. If the person has a job and are maybe working under the table or if someone is an independent contractor or something along the lines of that, they can pay directly to Kansas Payment Center. The payment would be processed and sent to the recipient on the pay card. I am not clear on how paying directly works. But let's say for example that the recipient needs something for the child that costs $200. If the payer wants to pay that directly then I think as long as they get a receipt they can show to child support then it would be considered payment.

If someone already answered, I apologize. Back here on #6 catching up.

I think we (well LE) needs to look at the money trail here...
I'm thinking they already have. After finding out more from the podcast with JO, I feel much more confident that LE knew early on what was going on and have been steadily building a case.

Unless they didn’t have one.

(Promise I’m not trying to be awkward mags [emoji8][emoji23])

Maybe someone with street smarts. A deeper knowledge about open land etc.

It’s not a bench trial. It is a criminal jury trial. It even stated so in the article from yesterday’s court hearing.
ETA: it’s already been continued twice so I’m not sure why you’re saying ‘already’

Thank you for the explanation, one more question if the State of Kansas Dept of Child and Family services comes after you for support and you have no job and don't pay it can you be charged and incarcerated for non payment of court ordered child support or do they just seize tax returns and such?
