Wasn't the school nurse required to report suspicions of abuse? Did she or he? I think it seems obvious EG interpreted the nurses suspicions. That's the reason for the note from the Dr. stating that Lucas's injuries are consistent with a fall. Plus, with the injuries and then the recurring vomiting wouldn't that add to the nurses suspicions? I wonder if a report was made.

I was thinking the same thing. I think many of us are losing hope. It's hard to stay passionate when the person we feel caused this mess is out there walking around, living her life, free to enjoy all the things life has to offer. I still think of Lucas and FLH and Jamie every day, but it's getting really hard to come here.

Never give up hope. Sometimes these things take time.

Did anyone notice in her statement she said "my endo". I'm taking this to mean endometriosis, which can cause walking difficulties.

I know a lot of women with endometriosis; they call it by it's whole name when they do speak of it. It's not brought up willy nilly whenever they feel like it; it's draining to discuss the ordeal to those outside of the experience who don't understand it.

The friends who go to endocrinologists (for very different conditions!) do say 'my endo'.

Friend circles are worldwide travelers, and generally come from many areas in the united states passing through this state. To my mind, EG's terminology sounds like an attempt to 'fit in' or normalize something as a feature of her being rather than something she endures or lives with- what I've heard from those who struggle with this condition.

Interesting to note that there is a pet name among some women who've suffered this wretched disorder. But accepting that term simply because someone else supported the claim?

Idk, sounds a lot like other excuses and bizarre personality traits I've survived from certain abusers. A lot like 'Oh, an excuse ocurred, please overlook this entire thing over here'.

I wonder whether the principal or school district received any unusual letters complaining about the nurses after they took note & followed protocol.

EG doesn't take well to anyone standing up to her bs

I carry the last 5 minutes of an unknown teens life in the form of his voice in me, while his killers were allowed to escape after multiple opportunities for local LE to intervene and detain them.

When you see the source of what an innocent soul awaiting justice is made of, it's very difficult to stop trying.

I didn't want to get involved with Lucas search- I put this off nearly 3 weeks and he got me.

Countless missing children, but this one's eyes said so much more than words can convey... there will never be any 'giving up'. He's getting a badazz patch in my backyard and he's getting a percentage of my week's work because he is so much more than a cute face.

Lucas is contagious, and I hope the entire world catches what he's got.

You have me in tears! :tears:

Lucas is enough of a big guy that we all feel deeply for what is going on; we do have to take time to let the pressure off and realize where it's coming from... the world was robbed of a leader, entertainer, friend and brother when EG acted out upon this awesome boy.

Tragically for EG, there's no way in hell this kid was just an accident (as she treated him)- he's got an amazing personality and he carried a lot of love and courage for someone so young- without her he'd have been the class clown and carried the weight of his peers respect (something EG could never have given her possessive jealous obsessions).

I do believe that she loathed what he was made of because it emphasized her own fake, void, and conniving character in contrast. A liar can't live with an honest man.

I've spent a lot of time trying to give EG the benefit of the doubt as she'd have anyone do, and she has never once provided cause for it to be issued.

The cleanup is what makes it so obvious. If your child is missing, who takes the time to get rid of pot and drug paraphernalia? Someone who has something to hide that's who! Oh! And she did all that within 15 minutes of noticing him missing and calling police? Give me a break!

I always appreciate your posts. They always leave me thinking deeply about EG. I do not know your story, but I am so glad that you are here. This is my first "websleuth's case". I cry and pray for Lucas. I will never forget this little boy and I keep bombarding heaven for justice for him.

So, once again just want to say how much I value these conversations for Lucas, that his thread has remained open with no problems, unlike other important closed threads right now where I really want to discuss things but can't because others can't be respectful.

Lucas wasn't important to EG.

Her habits and accessories, were.

Not entirely convinced that she made any effort to throw these items away so much as stash them for safekeeping until needed later. With loadies, there is always a 'later'.

I've not seen anything released from Lucas school program about whom JH/EG offered as his healthcare provider- tis possible Kansas doesn't require guardians to provide this information- it's required for a child to participate in pretty much everything out here in the west coast states.
If there was a clinic or physician mentioned via Lucas PreK program, this would be a followup lead for investigators (unless they're extremely lazy/inexperienced) and therefore off limits to discuss with the public as they detail his case.

The school nurse incidents gave me pause, there is a greater reason those were mentioned/released during the CINC hearing last month.

Finally as a side note, world renowned physicians at Loma Linda prescribed a known dangerous substance to my week old preemie son with disastrous consequences (lost most of his intestines due to their error after being born at 5 1/2 months gestation); lets not invest such epic amounts of faith in what script may have been written for Lucas by a theoretical doctor yet. In due time.

I have only ever had to provide insurance or dr information- voluntarily - for my special needs son in the form of records release authorization for his IEP and because for some therapies the school receives reimbursement from Medicaid. It’s not required release and many people don’t have a ‘family dr’ anymore or even a regular dr as many insurance providers don’t require you to name a Primary Care physician and for those that don’t have insurance or don’t name a PCP there are many walk in and urgent care clinics in Wichita

(O/T, if any of you guys see or talk to Tim Miller, please give him a big hug for us and offer him our condolences for what happened yesterday in his town (school shooting)...everyone down there must be an absolute wreck...

For reference:

(Ten killed in Texas high school shooting include 8 students; police say suspect confessed

“"Our community has suffered a terrible tragedy,” Wall wrote. “We are all feeling the overwhelming grief of this horrific event.”

Santa Fe High School became the latest scene of carnage in what has become a national epidemic of mass shootings. For the second time in the past three months, the victims were children and their teachers."

"That included the home of Tim Miller, the founder of the non-profit search and recovery team, Texas Equusearch.

It's impossible to tell yet just how much equipment was destroyed, but Miller has already canceled one search for this week.

"I'm going to have to make that terrible phone call to them that, unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to be there," Miller explained.") )

(Oh no that’s awful so so sorry to hear that!)

Interesting side note
If DCF is investigating a report, they don’t say who made the report. They will say something like ‘someone saw’ or ‘someone called us and said’
If WPD is investigating its more along the lines of ‘your neighbor called’ ‘someone at school said’

I’ve been looking over EG’s statement that was read in court and transcribed and posted here (thank you Tortoise) Does any one know if only exerts were testified to? Was it a complete statement or were there redactions?

I’ve been reading the last couple of days but haven’t had anything helpful to post. But I’m still here with all you folks. A little discouraged though. Thanks to all who remain committed.

I wonder if because Lucas also told the school nurse he fell off monkey bars as did EG, if the school nurse didn't report it. Then the Dr.s note to back it up. Then the recurring vomiting during a bad flu season. I mean, it can all make sense in the eyes of a reporter, that it might be other than the way it was interpreted in the first place. Doubt created, don't want to stir up unnecessary drama to a paying customer. I'm not trying to say anything bad about the school nurse, just pointing out a possible thought process.

I wonder if it is district specific? In our district children have to go through a basic physical, dental exam and immunization records before entering pre-k. We also have to list on enrollment forms which are updated yearly PCP and hospital we prefer if an emergency were to happen. Then the school does yearly eye and hearing test and those results are sent to your PCP you have listed on enrollment forms.
